No pleasures here today, sadly Yang lost his fight and has gone to join his sister at Rainbow Bridge. Life can be a biatch sometimes.

CCP hope the camera shows the problem, had the same last week and still waiting for results, I'm working on the principle that no news is good news
Vicky that reminds me of the buck-passing course I was invited to go on - couldn't be bothered so I sent someone else
Broomstick everything still x'ed for a dry January

    Sweet dreams :)

Oh sparrer - only hugs. I am so sorry. It's so cruel and never is better, even when we think we have prepared ourselves, even when we're told it's inevitable, even when we've gone through it before.

Something beautiful will bloom for Yang too.

    4. vicky - may I introduce you to Pioneer Woman?

More recipes than you can shake a stick at, and galaxies more. One of my faves is her Great-Grandmama Iny's Prune Cake:

Like the sound of Mango one - recipe?

Thanks! Pioneer Woman is now on my favourites. I love the look of the Prune Cake. I did a gorgeous Sticky Toffee Cake once (definitely not low in anything).

The mango cake is apparently a Mango and Lime Yoghurt Cake. Does sound different, doesn't it?

    Huge hugs to sparrer

Yang will be there with my Atticus who went to the "Rainbow Bridge" (what a lovely term) in October. xx

Sorry to hear that, Sparrer. :-(

Ampersand - I've only ignored one person so far (not on this thread!)

Dundeedoll - do they really do a procrastination course?? Do they do a distance one I could sign up for?!

Sorry to hear your are not very well, Kittikins.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) Just about got sons to school on time.

    2) Smaller son very stressed that the seating plan might have been changed round during the holidays - but it hadn't!

    3) Went to my first pilates lesson. Did OK but my left hip has never been as flexible as my right and there was one exercise I just couldn't do at all!

    4) Spent quite a bit of time researching my mortgage/endowment policy and what is the best to do with it (endowment quite useless and no way will it cover the cost of my house when the time comes). Seems there are an infinite number of options! Then I spoke to my sister and she gave me the number of the advisor for her mortgage and he spoke to me for ages (for free) and it seems clearer now.

    5) Appears I will be able to pay off my remortgage (taken out to cover the legal fees for my divorce).

    6) Cleaned the tiles in the living room properly.

    7) Made a prune. walnut and banana cake

    8) Enjoyed watching Holby.

Very tired now and getting a bit grumpy. BUT... today is the 9th anniversary of the day I left the ex husband! :-)

Quick 5 before i walk the dogs
    1) freeeeeee lunch was very nice and seminar was interesting and i've asked if i could present some of the slides in sri lanka and she say yes. Win win win win
    2) also asked another bod there if she could present a case study for me on the 31st and she say yes. Then emailed another bod if she could present a case study same day and she say yes :-) only 5 hours left for me to do rofl
    3) had loverly walk home. Dont like walking behind the hospital in the dark so went through the centre. Ninewells is on a gazillion levels and a hill so levels peter out and start at strange numbers. I entered on floor 3 and counted the 96 steps to level 7 (which is ground floor at the main entrance). Halo time
    4) visited my credit card online (weaned off it last summer) as thought hmmm best have backup access to spondulits when abroad and seem to have left it in credit rather than zero so that was a nice surprise!
    5) gbf came round tonight to see his dawgs (he's their dogfather) he's on a fast day so brought his own which i duly heated in the microwave. I had a very large glass of wine and lish chicken stew.
And no i dont think the dastardly rob has told jess at all!

Oh I am sorry, I left you blank!! :D. Loving the idea of dogfather :rotfl:

Sparrer - I am so sorry for your loss :(

    Frith Happy anniversary
I wanna be in the room where it happens
