Me too Ladyhawk it's lovely to hear you've having a great time.

Ollie I'm popping into see mum this morning, going to the house alone is a problem as we'd rather visit in pairs when step-dad is there. Also, he doesn't want us around. Will talk to others and see what they think.

    Morning everyone!

    My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Home early as it was Friday - we finish at 4pm on Fridays.

    2. New season The Mentalist on TV, so I could drool over Simon Baker.

    3. Yummy homemade chilli for tea.

    4. Having a sleep when I got home, and feeling rested and refreshed afterwards.

    5. 1,500 words on my story - it's about 1/2 way done, with 10,500 words written this week.

    6. Lovely cuddles with Gizmo Puss-Cat.

    7. Realising that I have spent very little money this week, so when I do March's budget this weekend, I should have even more money to put towards my trip.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Hi Everyone!

Enjoying catching up reading all the posts since Wednesday! (I've got as far as Friday, but need to post mine for the last few days now, before DH wakes up and looks disapprovingly at me 'wasting time' on the laptop!)

Sparrer - Belated Happy Sobriety Day! My Aunty used to ring us all up every year to remind us of her achievement! I'm so glad my children only knew their 'lovely' Great Aunty and I got back the Aunty I knew as a teenager. Heres to the next one:T
Jolly Mummy - Sorry you had an upsetting half term, and glad your worries are unfounded. I had the opposite prob with DD. I felt she was Dyspraxic, but no one would take me seriously. I researched it and sent her to gymnastics classes to help her co-ordination. Turns out kids with Dyspraxia are really flexible! She was immediately 'spotted' by a gym coach and has done gymnastics, trampolining and swimming all up to National level. She is currently doing an apprenticeship in swimming alongside her A levels and aiming for a career in dance! (She has just been assessed as dyslexic). Talk about turning a negative into a positive!!! I bet the school nurse at your DS' school is feeling a little embarassed!

5 for the last few days

    1. £4.00 worth of chicken lasting all week!
    2. Talking to my maths classes about 'estimating weight' and using an example of posting Ebay parcels and getting the postage right to illustrate the importance of this as a real life skill. Passing it on :money:
    3. My TA showing me an article in a mag about Approved Foods. She's worked with me too long!!!:money:
    4. Popping into Mr T on the way home with DH to do a quick voucher shop and spotting their £9 meal deal. Yummy meal and next to no cooking! :)
    5. Getting a kiss from DS1 as he got out of the car at his friends house. Despite being moaned at to clean his room and stop smoking. :A

    The weekend starts here:j
    Have fun! HE x

    Morning all! :)

So the date went really well (thank you for the interest!). We went to a river side pub first of all, then onto a really obscure and very cool (not in a trendy way) club in London Bridge Station, where we had our first kiss! I haven't managed to get past a 3rd date for years so fingers crossed!!

    So my pleasures today are:

    1) Really great date!

    2) My sofa being delivered by a really helpful and friendly man. We ended up having to take one of my doors off its hinges but it's in now.

    3) Had my last slice of HM bread for brekkie with yummy strawberry jam.

    4) Going to collect my new cupboard doors at lunch time before collecting my birthday present from my mum's friend (it was in September!)

    5) It's mild and sunny and the birds are tweeting...

    Have a lovely weekend

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
  • Here are my five for yesterday:

    1) Finally for to my 7lbs weight-loss goal :j Have set another goal for 4 lbs this time (hoping that I get to it much quicker!)
    2) Some really nice thick slices of whoopsied deli turkey breast - 2 packs, 29p each.
    3) DS2 had great fun at Beavers and made a lovely bird feeder (not too keen that he came back with paint all over his beaver sweater though).
    4) DS1 had a great time at Sea Scouts. They had a 'wide game' (still couldn't get to the bottom of why it's named that?!) where they had to go out and about in the dark doing "stuff". It's always a huge pleasure for me when the boys have a great time at scouts.
    5) Watched a Born Survivor episode where Bear Grylls was in Siberia and had to take off all his clothes to swim in an icy river. :T

    3. Catching up with lots of lovely friends that haven't seen for a while plus a few drinks in the process
    4. No hangover this morning as didn't over induluge last night
    5. Was given a 40% discount voucher yesterday for a shop that DD wanted some new underwear from so used today and saved a bit of money:money:

oh and thanks for being someone that recognises that not everyone who looks like an ethiopian doesn't eat and that it is as much of a stress as for others who have the opposite problem....:T

Caterina- can i have 3 please?

    Ok 5;

    1. Another referral from a 'cured' customer in the form of a lovely lady with horrid neck pain who i treated and she was moving like an owl afterwards:T

    2. Going out to dinner alone with OH tonight for 1st time in 16 months to celebrate selling car last week......

    3. Boy from work WON his weightlifting qualifier today so he has qualified for championships in OCT. He has been training and trying so hard for this I am so pleased for him!!

  • Evening all

Ollie Glad to hear the sniffles are on the retreat. Yes the blackbirds enjoye the apple. They also got a couple of soft tomatoes and the crumbs from my grill pan. Hmm yellow tinged bird - try looking at the yellow hammer/finch family.

Jexygirl I had a look at your website today and it looks like a lovely place. If I lived nearer I'd be there all the time. Menu looks fantastic too. Would love to see some pictures of your girls.

Ladyhawk Glad to hear the date went well. Sounds like you're quite smitten with kiwi boy already :j

Sparrer Aren't you the lucky one getting freebie body lotion. I don't seem to have much lucky with freebies.

    Right my recent ones:

    1) Visit from the cockerel today - didn't see him yesterday but I think it was too wet for him - moorhens turned up too :o
    2) Went to makro and found my favourite wine on offer - even cheaper than Mr T's offer after tax - got 7 cases so well stocked up - will give one to mum on Mothers day
    3) Nipped into our tiny Boots for some ibruprofen for my neck and found they hadn't taken the offer off their Soap & Glory stuff - it was supposed to finish on the 23rd - I couldn't resist so I'm well stocked up with that too - I'm tempted to nip in on Monday and see if it's still there. I also got a £5 No7 voucher which I've promised to my friend
    4) Having a cat nap on the sofa this afternoon :D
    5) Lots of texts from 10 year ex. He's still so thoughtful and lovely ;)
    6) Having a lazy day after all the bargains
    7) Now having a very large glass of bargain wine.

Hope you all had a great day. Keep smiling.

    C x
