Wednesday tea time ...rainy and cool!
Potter, potter this morning.
Then out and about on the train. Was meeting ex colleague for lunch.....perhaps for 15 minutes out of 2 hours I spoke ...the rest , well she got a lot of her chest. She is having a very difficult time at work, an even more toxic atmosphere than before . So I am more than glad to be away and glad that I was a shoulder for her today.
Popped into library and borrowed 4 magazines.
Going to make a pavlova for pud as I have egg whites left over from making ice cream. Soup from the freezer to start.
Was out a walk with DD1 and had just said we didn't have any mail....there on the pavement , at the top of our street was a Christmas card addressed to me! had obviously dropped out postie's bag. He rides a motor scooter along the pavement delivering mail into the mailboxes at the end of our gardens.
LFS santas slippers are a garland of felt slippers with a number on each one to place a treat or 4 in each day of advent.

Alas all ills and winds of change. Dating Divas and tables of pain. The wheel with the vase, or was it Potters Bar. Rite, I'm Inn! As for the Cakes from Yorkshire, band on the Pirate ship. besst thing about PonteFructus. M62. You do not have to stop!
Now fear this!
5 Raffles is a reincarnated Bengal Tiger. He has ripped Ms BoP’s hand to shreds. Well, I keep saying to her, that she encourages them and, gosh is he flightenly fast with them paws.
Also he seems fussy on what he eats. Chicken seems to be more miss than hit, and fish. Wolfed down. At least his maritime connections seem to have been taken up. YestDi, Raffles was wondering how to attract the attention of Lady Whack, when he realised that he could use the paper tray of the printer as a foot stool. I will leave to rest up to you.
4 Bit of a one yesterday for uses of our roads. On the way to work, some particulate deciding to overtake lorries at 60 mph, and taking an age, then rushing at 80 plus to the next one! And not letting others overtake him! Then the one near home. Well, I am not bothered what time I get in, I had another meet on, so I do not care, but there is always a queue. One car makes no difference to your time, as indeed it does to mine. So why beep and toss, with full lights. You cannot get fast, and as the diesel cam trundle along nicely, thank you. In thirst it is relatively easy to take time to get to my cutting! Last, but not least, the headman cyclist. Dark road, no hi vis jacket. Ultra bright lights. Well, if you dazzle me, I will dazzle you. And a note for those concerned. I cycle this area as well. I do not use the roads, tell you why in a mo. But there is a perfectly good cycle path where headman rode, but trying to cut across in front, Not a good idea!. You may think that at gone ten in the evening, the car driver may be … I suggest you think again, because I was on a job last nite, so if you are reading this, that nice fat compy check would be nice, if you get up! That is if I were not a lorry! As for cycling on the roads.
A cousin colleague from across the pond. When he got here a few years back noticed how narrow our roads were and decided that cycling here was not for them. Then of course, the cycle path.
3 PM 2 DD Still got two in the tinpot completion, one in the Big Tinpot Compy as well. So there. Radio silence from Gylbrrrdick tonight as North Ferriby Town ply in the Alliance and Social League.
2 Got to fill the truck up this evening, so Bristol will get a clout.
1 The annoying thing in life, is not seeing that it is your actions that hold you from your potential!0 -
1. folded washing, whilst sitting.
2. made leek soup, which DS completely finished when he got home from college :-O
3. Lit the fire MYSELF so my feet weren't cold again
4. Hot dogs and fried onions for tea:D
5. Put washing in washing machine:D Pulled washing out of washing machine. Just can't hang it up!!
I reckon I must be havin them there mood swings..the desire to batter OH was immense this morning when he wouldn't take DS to college in the rain. And this afternoon I cried cos someone offered to plough the fields for me!
Ah joys of hormones..or lack thereof!!

I have a stock of pleasures, I’ve been writing but been too busy for once to post up with odd hours and out in the evenings.:o
For Monday
Its weird over the past month we have gone from being hermits to out 4 nights of the school week each week, nice but a little tiring at the moment.
1.Work okish. But I left my phone at home so I ended up singing the last song I heard over and over in my head which was “I wish it could be Christmas every dayyyyyyy”:o:o
2.Tonight we finished off our responder training and passed yippee, had a lovely time, and signed up for some qualifications as well.:T
3.Came home and made a chilli packed with garlic and onion, trying to fight off the lergy which apparently likes me.
4. I love Christmas tunes and I am chuffed there is a music channel dedicated to them he he….
5. Just ordered mum in laws birthday present as it’s boxing day using a 25 percent off code and free to pick up as I pass the place, and also ordered some clothes for DH again with another code for free delivery and 10 percent off.
For Tuesday
1.Working from home today as we are going out later and I had problems with access, this was met by helpdesk comments of “you have never had access” ah bless them, how I love ringing the un helpful desk.
2.Everywhere I look there are birds all over the garden, I bought mealworms when they were on throw out and they adore them apparently.
3. Cleaned up the house a little bit properly sweeping all the dirt to the floor sweeping up then washing the floor.
4. DH busy putting lots of bits and pieces on Ebay
5.We went out for the evening to a local Christmas show a fantastic feel good sing along, they are a bit like a cruise ship band that tours but they are quite frankly wonderful, it was truly wonderful singing at the top of our voices and “adult” panto.
For today
1.A weird and wonderful work day full of unexpected compliments on my job.
2.Home on time and
3.Theres enough left over pizza that I might cook up some chips and call it tea.
4.Its nice to be in for the evening.:)
5.The postman delivered a £10 morrisons voucher from a survey, CK lippy, and Tesco vouchers.0 -
1) HM blueberry muffins from a colleague.
2) A herring gull squawking - many of us at work moved to the seaside from inland, so the noise makes us all think of holidays and smile.
3) Saw a young mistle thrush, and told a colleague a bit about it. (Because she asked - I don't push my twitcherish ways on anyone!)
4) Found a competition to post on the comps board, which doesn't happen often.
5) Decided I wasn't feeling very hungry and so didn't fancy the curry I had planned to have for dinner; a dig through the freezer turned out a slice of stilton and mushroom wellington made this time last year which will do nicely as a snack instead.Back after a very long break!0 -
1. Just in from a lovely compline, felt needed, so straight to byebyes, up for Spits in a few hours.
2. Prepped Jamie's mulled wine[with &tweaks] yesterday to take this evening, last one of year. It is lovely. Not just me who thought so:D Used 2 bots of red from the 6 freebies which came with Sunday's daytrip.
3. Good grief! - honeysuckle planted out front months ago has its first sprig about to flower.
4. Lots of dentelle de Calais for tomorrow and a baccarat decanter. Will have re-living memories of 3 vide-greniers/brocantes as I empty one of many stock boxes demain. Had such a good Sunday over there.
5. Call on my jour Saint from France just before I left for compline, and feeling our 40+years' friendship is a special and precious thing.
Battling atm, for someone and something. Strength and frameworks needed.
Bonne nuit.

Ampersand - I love the franglais. It jogs my memory about my rusty french vocab and it makes me smile when I remember words I didn't even know I knew years ago - dentelle for example. How, where, why did I learn that? - but i knew it!
Kk, that advent calendar sounds really lovely. I want to know what's next as well!
Posted pleasures yesterday evening. The ether swallowed it. I was too tired to start again.
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. Pear for pudding at just the perfect point of ripeness.
2. Soup twice today - it's been blinking cold and soup helped.
3. Ep 3 of Last Tango.
4. Got sports hall bookings sorted at a new venue for extra training sessions in the new year, including being able to lay my hands on our insurance cover documents. Felt like the first serious piece of proactive money earning work I've done in a fortnight. Everything else has been troubleshooting and putting out fires. Hope things have turned a corner now.
5. Drove back through the centre of town tonight - the Xmas lights are up and since they are all white bulbs they look very artistic like huge snowflakes. Very pretty.
Sweet dreams

7. Latin club was not as busy as dreaded, and was really good fun
8. DD loved her 'have fun' card I made her, with lots of mathematical symbols on it, for her day today
