5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Hello to all, from this bleak, pathetic, grey, gloomy, damp, murky not France. I have just put down phone after hier[EMERGENCY 1ST CALL] and today DITTO failing to eventuate, therefore still without hot water or heating for over 7 weeks now, despite every pathetically broken promise and useless apologist.
Paul, Emma, Ann, Jasmine[HA], anon male, now Saff[who is at least arranging emergency evening call-out between 17-21h ce soir....] ON VERRA.
This a.m.was told by anon male to call if no-one arrived by 11. That call has just lasted 1.5hrs as they attempted to voicemail/raise fixit person from dead, as yesterday. If I wasn't pursuing it, nothing would be happening.
Fed up and hating sky unblue, being back in this.
Sorry. but that's how it is
HA too scared/'not allowed' to give me name, but i.d.'d Liberty Gas Group off own bat.
It's so clammy cold and, kiwi-coper that I am and just as well[boil kettles and train shower head into basin or container for transport ailleurs], this was to be fixed weeks ago, certainly during my absence. 2nd time in less than a year, after wrecking and 'disappearing' my lovely hot water cupboard, replacing something that wasn't broken. HA useless.
Feel the ache of bop and Lady Whack's tiger, too. Like Frith, will miss Monty's scrabble triumphs.
dd- check out http://welovebudapest.com/en/cafes-bars/ruszwurm and eat a big, bad, glorious cake in this place. Glad it's still there.
pk-would have lurved cuppa de retour, but doubt kettle would have boiled cheerily at clocks 4.
ccp- do choose 2. The dynamic is completely different.
I am about to call M. Bosquier et Mme Dr Chappuis,re: the handsome big boy, a grand and stately b/w pointer, elderly, abandoned, exhausted, starving when our paths crossed at Cogolin 2 Weds back....another story.[have pics, wish I had him]
I seem not to be listing pleasures, OS or any style....

Caught Ms BoP. She has been looking at the Puss cat Protective Divisions website and so far, we can home at least 40 of the little things. Good work I see. Just that last time we were without moggsies it was about 3 weeks. This time she is going all out to beat the record.
3 Handed over spare cat food to neighbour. She has lost a couple of kitties recently, so that will help her out. Still think her dog pulls her along the path, rather than the other way.
1 Read the Free Press
5 FryDay. Had my Snorker, Toast, Egg, Black Pud and beans. All part of my five a day.
3 Seems I have bins tooo busy to play PoP Master today, so will have to get back on form some time next week.
4 Done the crossword before daily crunch. Today is guess what, crab claws and cucumber. Splattered with marmite.
Odds on three weeks without a cat, falling! Thinks DD has hit the nail, except that this will be Monty III. First one used to eat raw flowers, bite their heads off. Ms Whack used to blame me till she saw him!
Beard hugs to mags, cafes and all Thinking of rikki chicks and in laws. Gone I has gun mad! Oi, &. Gets yer putah fixed!0 -
Gosh in turning my back and pasting on here. Shouting for & and there she bee!0

bop - I realise I hadn't advised my rtn date, so kindly yellow thing now until March 2014,esp. as &squat is as described above.
I quickly calc. M-o-n-t-y as a 10 pt basic, but am sure MontyIII will finesse this to finer scores and placements yet, s-purred on by his noble predecessors.
ccp and bop - your felines will choose you well and soon, please.

Bang on &. You do not own the cat, the cat owns you. Yes, Monty II did select Ms Whack and boy did he make sure she knew he loved her! No more laddered [STRIKE]tights[/STRIKE] stockings this weekend!0
-
BoP - I raised a mug to Monty & to you & yours. A generous thought to gift spare cat food to neighbour.
CCP - I have to admire a workplace that recognises cat adoption time, even if it can be unpleasantly daft at times.
Chickenopolis - not a wall (yet!) but certainly three over A4 size frames with mosaics of photos (including School Photo samples!) Atta girl keeping folk safe even if they don't want to. Including you - keep estr-MIL off your Fb feed!
Kittikins - someone else devised & shared a solid while-on-placement planning document?! A treasure!
Purple kitten - you focus on where you want the process to end & let OH do the middle bit. Someone with a clear vision of the destination helps navigate! Stop Doing so much & rest that fracture.
Frith - I'm guessing all of smaller sons' stuff is robust? If his new base mate likes throwing things... More cider apples? Cor!
mhagster - admiring the way your work ethic chugs on & brings home a sack of glorious veggies even though there isn't paying work yet. Vintage neighbour with lemon tree? Wow! Kids a-gallivanting sounds wonderful.
DD - the brandy hasn't fixed the cold? Love the powdered milk oneliner!
ampersand - why are you living in the 1930s? Admirable kiwi-coper that you are, this is a blinking tough gig. Hoping this grand & stately pointer can join you to provide ambulatory heating. Dead right to remind BoP of his duties...
my OS Pleasures
Sleep! That wonderful warm drowsy little world. (I peered out from it & realised I hadn't set my alarm - double speed!)
Lovely Caro Emerald song helping me bounce into the office!
Litter picking scouts got a "well done young 'uns!" letter in the local press - & none of us old lags wrote it!
Between grey, can see blue skies! This may mean frost tonight, or that it'll be warm.
Sorted utilities. Gulp & phew in same breath. Now, how soon will the old lot pay up my "credit" I wonder?!
Big hugs, and new fourpawed appearances, to all who need them!0 -

That sounds familiar!
I know it will be different when I get to the centre but I can't resist keep checking the website and, of 40 or so possibilities, have managed to cross maybe half a dozen off the not-very-short list, either due to colour (I don't want another black one as that would feel too much like replacing Moggett) or temperament (too 'enthusiastic' (i.e. they scratch - I had enough of that with Moggett!) or don't like other cats, which will be a problem as there are so many where I live).
ampersand - it's nice to see you fully back - fingers crossed the problem with your heating gets fixed asap - 7 weeks is far too long to be without hot water.Back after a very long break!0 -
Artnoon!!
Friday from hell was like pulling teeth - I only taught them this stuff 3 / 4 months ago. Another brief introductory sesh this PM and they are on their own for the remainder. Slight POETS day for me.
CCP - wow to work allowing time off for cat adoption. Astonishing
Chicken - Shhh :lipsrseal:silenced::shhh: BTW Our Christmas turkeys are all called Brian, we haven't had one every year and I think we are on to Brian XVI this year.
Kittikins - good news re placement. My 2 went to a tiny village school, fewer than 100 in whole school, 14 per year group, 2 year groups per class. it meant that they were in a class with those a year above and then those a year below them - certainly helps with integration to "big" school and they all look out for each other.
PK - Scottish trip sounds lovely. I have always fancied Scotland but decide that if we are to drive that far, i'd rather go south and we end up in France
Frith - sounds like small son getting better and better :T for him
Mhags - such a shame re caf! - can you not work 2 places around each other?
DD - enjoy Budapest. Hope the pressure of Sunday doesn't stoop you enjoying the now
Ampersand - so pleased you are back
BoP - how nice of you re cat food. Especially as Monty III due any day
Dfor V - vastly underrated is sleep
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Day off - not that you'd know. Spent hours on this mornings lecture. Far far too long, but my knowledge is increasing exponentially. I think that nothing will be this tricky again work wise
2. Email from final year Quantity Surveying student "does (QS) in the documents stand for Quantity Surveyor":wall::wall::wall::wall: :rotfl:(I have, of course counted the bricks in the wall - QS joke!!:p)
3. Managed to do shopping and clean bathrooms - some day off and, goodness knows, I am no stickler for clinical hygiene but I like sinks and basins done weekly.
4. Phoned dad - he's got his new mattress sorted without me doing a 400 mile round trip to do it for him
5. J had not eaten his ham sandwich from the previous day so I shoved cheese in it and had a toastie for lunch.
Right, round 2 with final year students then I am off. And - there's cake in the kitchen at work and hardly anyone in.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Unfortunately, dfv, Cogolin is not anywhere near here, but where I later swam, as it is warm enough still, and took pics with him, during an afternoon which led to M. Bosquier possibly homing him chez lui....CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

I think it's more that it's very quiet at work at the moment (as evidenced by the fact I'm sitting here typing this rather than working) and they feel I might as well use up my leave filling my flat with fur if I so wish. Having said that, I'm not sure how much the head of department knows about the agreement - what she doesn't know can't hurt her, is my approach!
Back after a very long break!0
