  • I’ll take time to catch up on all of the posts tomorrow. :)

It took us a long while to get over the initial shock of the accident and unfortunately we are both a bit injured, have to deal with all the insurers tomorrow but that’s tomorrow.;)
    1. We were able to hire a caravan and a van and continue on on Tuesday.:T
    2. A few people really happy to see us make it and lovely to catch up with friends.:D:D
    3. Had a lovely time, we walked 50 miles over 5 days, feeling pleasantly achy.:D
    4. Fantastic holiday but nice to be back, looking forward to a bath to mis place the dorset dust.:rotfl:
    5. Looking forward to some err possible scrumping tomorrow, not sure thou at the moment the whole of the caravan is emptied around the house, so may have to do some online looking about for a potential replacement first.
    6. A very MSE pleasure, nice to come home to nice post I could open, as opposed to a few years ago when opening post would cause worry.:money:

    Welcome back ampersand

    1. good weekend out and about
    2. 2 more trips to the tip, more garden rubbish etc., cleared out
    3. got the car cleaned to get rid of any creepy crawlies that might have hitched a ride. The Eastern Europeans who run the car wash are extremely hard workers and have very reasonably prices. Asked them to check there were no 8 legged things, they actually lifted all carpets etc and did the inside over a second time.
    4. some of the tubs moved around in garden, it's rather like rearranging furniture. The big ones with trees in were a bit difficult but a shovel and some pushing and pulling eventually got them moved.
    5. Last of the raspberries and blackberries picked, just a few Tom Thumbs left to ripen now and I'll have had almost 5lb from two hanging baskets.

    Sweet dreams :)

Hello, DD and I are back from our lovely 'summer holiday' night away at a gorgeous hotel with fabulous sightseeing on the way; elicious food; beautiful sunshine;laughs and cuddles a-plenty;crazy golf;not spending too much money;me walking around Old Sarum castle and going up and down 'scary' stairs without whinging; very luxurious toiletries at the hotel - which of course I've brought home with me; listening to The Secret Garden on CD in the car; and generally loving life and loving being with DD (pretty much the same thing :) )

Kittikins - sounds like a lovely trip. I haven't been to Old Sarum in years.

    Glad you're OKish, PK.

Another evening here of noisy neighbour and chums out on their patio. Can't wait for the weather to get nasty! We've spent a summer not being able to open the windows on one side of the house for the noise. Anyway....

    1) Terrible sleep. Went off about 6am. Don't feel too bad considering.

    2) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    3) Checked the eggs with smaller son then picked lots of egg plums.

    4) Had a bit of a tidy. Repotted indoor plants that needed it, tidied up, cleaned fridge out, cleaned windows.

    5) Baked potatoes for tea with corned beef (no money til tomorrow) then some of the plums in a crumble. 2 bags of stewed plums in the freezer.

Getting a bit tired and grumpy now. Smaller son isn't a fan of change and will be going to school on Wednesday, going to his new school within a few weeks and we also have 2 months to choose his high school for 2014! We have been sorting out his bag and PE kit but he's been very highly strung today. :-/

Tuesday and another happy day at work! I love work !

Today I saw sausages being made, had the most amazing lasagne....beef and pork ...now I don't like pork and would not have chosen this off a menu ever but it looked so scummy that I had to try, it was so delicious.
I came home with a duck egg and asparagus frittata , a baguette and 3 lemon syrup muffins. I am learning so many new things and everyone is friendly. I said to my colleague today , whilst watching the sausages being made, I have waited all my life for this job! And ...I've been paid :)

    Sunny day!

Quick chat with friend this morning.

OH had check up at hospital and all okay...and he was home early !

    Enjoy your day :)
  • Haven't popped in for over a week  where does the time go!

    Some pleasures for the last week;

    1. Cleaning rota is working a treat, keeping a lovely clean and tidy home with minimal effort :j

    2. Haven't managed a meal plan as such but have managed to eat from freezer and stores and stay away from evil yet delicious Mr. Takeaway.

3.Discovered a local nature reserve 5 minutes down the road. It's gorgeous, got lots of walks of varying lengths and it's free parking! Plus, Ian the dog loves it.

    4. Had a lovely long chat and a cuppa with my nan. See her regularly but it was particularly pleasant to have a proper chat. Found myself confessing all sorts of things I had been holding onto.

    5. Having my hair cut later, cannot wait. Left it abit too long and I'm looking abit wild:eek:

I can't get going properly because my keys are nowhere - not being silly over it this time. Feeling bleak, worried, down. Used them yesterday, cleared old p/w from glovebox, walked back in....now gone.
Not locked in anything, because things can't lock unless I have them in my hand.
Had to let down neighbour who'd asked if I could drive him to pick up new bunny cage. It was at that point it became apparent. Spent 12 hours till late last night, intermittent again this morning.
Can't understand. Even found myself thinking of Frith's neighbour's sons!...
    ############
    1. I've just picked another 600g of raspberries and they are warm to the touch, thanks to bop's new yellow thing job skills.

    2. First try of recent biltong, gave stick to neighbour who'd said he loves it. Did it a few months ago, HFW with & variants. Lush, if I say so myself.

    3. Spoke to France last night and earlier today re:required shopping list[2 pages]. Had to advise Sister Laura's, milk of magnesia and gripe water are in the ranks of The Disappeared, with plenty of raving Daily Mail hate articles about European legislation. Horlicks tablets are coming from Hong Kong! Have found other ways of obtaining e'thg but Sister Laura's. Good long talk, but still upset about keys.

    4. Odd coincidence - had just handed biltong over, rtn'g to continue key hunt, when on R4 Food Programme, heard about a man making biltong!

    5. Made 2 good loaves of seedy bread.

    Ransacking, orderly, logical must resume.
I can't miss Spits or Spooky Men for want of transport.
bop's yellow thing is helping me.

Wishing you all a happy day.

I dont suppose keys are somewhere high? The only time I lost mine, rather than when they were stolen, they were out of sight on top of the fridge.

Thank you Frith - precisely that had occurred to me, because I had cleaned, re-organised fridge earlier in day.
    Not there though.
Have phoned Fenboys for advice and worst case scenarios.
So far, not in bin, not in rain butts, not in sheds[have broken in ridiculously to eliminate these]
    Not in/under/tangled in bed
    Not in bathroom/laundry
Not in kitchen cupboards, elsewhere in kitchen
Not in clothing drawers, but will re-do shortly, to quadruple check.
Not in bag of reduced fennel given to neighbour for bunnies[6p at w8rs, was good]
    Going through corolux corner again....

It's all un-happening to the pleasurable commentary of Ireland vs England@Malahide, lovely Malahide on a gloriously sunny hot Irish day - and Eire have Albion on the rack. Zut alors, Vic Marks heard me, has just used that very phrase...well, there is no other atm!
