Let's hear it for mhags - WELL DONE!
:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
It will be alright.

Do you realise how your full description of what you've been going through mirrors much of what you've written re: DD+school bullying?
OH is doing steadily better atm. DS's fees are paid. Some great exam results have come home too.
You are a whole woman and have taken the necessary steps to remain so. Think I'll just do a bit of saluting - which I now do to a backdrop of more blutty English summer. Et oui, mhags - it's raining again.
Now, just sit down with more book, no ironing board and let that sweet employment drop in at your feet. The right one's on its way, I know it.

I also had to pop on and say:
:j:jMchags: I am full of respect such a brave move, I could have written the exact same about my work at the moment.0 -
Vjsmumm: Wow what an amazing time,:) Glasters has grown in appeal to me but I really don't do crowds so I prob wouldn't brave it. When we where in Wales and had the best cafe food ever it was at http://www.cafemor.co.uk/ it was absolutly delicious, we had a beach burger which was black meat and lava seaweed together, with a toasted warm bun, which had lava spead on it and it was just astounding, they were getting ready to go to Glasters.
Mghags: :j:j:j:j:j
I am envious of all the crops already showing, this year I have only tried my hand at potatos, tomatos and peppers this year, and we got some free salad from the mse seed offer. I am going to try to grow strawberries next year, I will look out for reduced plants this year.
Some posts on the main forum have made me think about how MSE is very much a way of life now, some mse pleasures mixed in below.
1. I fell for it and bought a t shirt and I really don't like it and wonder why I bought it, I am taking it back for a refund tomorrow, we are also returning the rotton chicken thats another refund total £30:cool:
2. We haven't spent out on garden bits and pieces only by avoiding garden places.:p
3. MIL gave us a big curly hose so now ours is only cm's long we don't need to spend out on a new one.
4. Rather than spend out on lamp holders, DH came up with the idea of splitting bamboo, I've used the empty nutella glasses as citonella candle holders.:o
5. Still so have to sort a new fridge but DH and I are umming and ahhing over weather to buy new or 2nd hand, I think we will find one we like and see if we can get it 2nd hand, but DH wants a warranty. DH has taken the fridge apart and put it back together it's temporarily working.:D
6. Applied for what sounds like a really interesting job but no word, dam dam dam.
7. Tried to lay in this morning but the neighbours baby was howling, my animals in turn were very awake, and while I went back to bed it was futile as outside beeping noises started.
8. A few washing loads done and on the line.
9. I'm sure it was all the talk of bacon sarnies on here but brekkie / lunch was was a simple BLT.:)
10. Its dinner lottery tonight depending on what Mr T provides.
Back to work tomorrow, following a very arsy communication, but only a 3 day week! Hoping to just sit this out for another month:(0 -
VJsmum - sounds like you had a fantastic time - thanks for sharing all the details.
Like PK I'm not good with crowds so would never go myself - I stopped going to the IOW festival a few years ago as it got so crowded I was constantly on the verge of a panic attack, so Glasto would be far too much for me!
Tealdady - I'm glad you had a good weekend, too.
mhags - good on yer, as I believe the Aussies say. :T I did something similar myself a few years ago, when I realised I was spending the bus journey every morning fighting back tears at the thought of another day at work - nothing's worth that much grief. I'm sure something much better will be along for you soon.
sparrer - sorry, but I did laugh at the interchangeable cats - oops!
1) LO veg chilli for lunch, although it wasn't particularly nice as it tasted more burnt than I thought when I posted yesterday. Bet yours was nicer, Frith!
2) A senior colleague literally squeaking with excitement when I showed her how to do something on a fairly new piece of software - she's usually so dignified that it just made me :rotfl:.
3) Decided I'm not hungry enough for a proper meal tonight so I'll have cheese on toast instead.
4) Umm... struggling now... pub quiz tonight, and it's stopped raining so I should be able to walk there, getting a bit of exercise into the bargain.
Oh well, that leaves me with one in stock for another day!Back after a very long break!0 -
Thanks for the kitty money &. If you all chip in, and that includes VJS Mummsie, I thinks I can get that Yellow thing up and running by the weekend for us. Oh, and why had VJM go to Glasnosfest. You nose that be all mud, mud, mud and tiger feet.
Had the annual effics traing at work today. Another waste of an hour of my life. Should have the email tomorrow about reviewing it. And I nose you lot will be interested in my verdict usefulness of training etc. now where are me fabbies lie social workers and educationalists. Look it will be light outside this weekend, I has arranged it. So ...
No pleasures as swayed from Ms Whiplash0 -
Good evening all !
Ooooh lots going on with you lot !
VJsmum- It's lovely to hear that you had a brilliant time ! I am glad that your DS enjoyed himself too. But, I must say I have not heard of half of the bands you mentionBy the way you have described your time there why would anyone need to take Class B's??
Mhagster- well done brave one ! there are more songs to sing than THAT one . Your happiness is far more important .:T
ampersand - loving the blackbird family.
PK - clever you fiddling with the fridge
Tealady an equally lovely post.
5 for today
1. Work ok - out on a site visit and all went well.
2.Coming home to a tidy house as OH has started a new job today.
3. Took terrier out to the park. It rained so I stood under a huge weeping willow tree, there was something very calming and safe about it .I loved it, and it kept me dry.
4. Made a thai curry for tea with a posh rtc 10p sauce from the freezer. OH can just reheat his when he gets in.
5. ME time :T Boy do I need it.
Have a lovely evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

That reminds me (thanks, Chicken):
5) Opened my bedroom curtains this morning to see a small, fluffy, obviously newly-fledged blackbird sitting in the tree looking back at me. So cute!
That's five - a little belatedly - and now I must go quiz-wards.Back after a very long break!0 -
Ampersand: Just replying to your PM but it can't send it as your mail box is full of fan mail......:D0
-
ampersand -can't beat crispy bacon in an explosive french stick! We've started a bacon trend:)
mhags - big hug for being brave and standing up for yourself, well done you
VJsmum - Sounds like you had fun! Glaso made me smile:D
sparrer - wrong cat made me smile, sadly with 15 I tend not to notice when one of the strays we feed comes in! Supper time is a sea of cats:D
1. I bought a vegetarian cookbook at the weekend (it was shiny and I needed more veg recipes to use all this bloomin stuff), OH eyed it suspiciously. Tea tonight was rattytool, OH said 'Is this vegetarian?' Yes dear, but the chop next to it isn't!!!:rotfl:
2. Liquidizing leftover rattytool to use in a pasta bake and I know OH won't ask if thats vegetarian, he does hate new things!
3. Another raspberry..dad would normally have eaten them as they got ready so I'll eat them in his memory:)
4. refried beans in tortillas for lunch, fried in bacon fat...oh my..and this is why i have elasticated waists!
5. 2nd NSD in a row:D Joy of living where I work, in the middle of nowhere, with no decent shops for 25 miles!
Sending out hugs and vegetables to all who want them! I need a carrot smiley:cool:2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
Hi, I read this thread occasionally but thought it was time I joined in. Not sure that I'll post every day or even every week but we'll see how it goes. After a weeks holiday I returned to work today and now feel like I never went away. I wont bore you all with details but suffice to say that it sucks at the minute.
Anyhoo here goes with my 5
1. Morning cup of tea made by my lovely hubby
2. View from the window whilst I washed the dishes this morning (haven't done this evenings yet) of the veggies and baby birds
3. My clutter free (mostly) house. It's taken a while but we're getting there and I feel so much better for it
4. Reading New Scientist that I got a birthday subscription for - thanks Mum/Dad
5. The cows in the field next to us haven't broken into the garden today, apparently the grass is greener on our side of the hedge!0
