Just the 3 cats here, LFS!

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Took stuff to the charity shop.

    3) Swapping smaller son's Primarni trousers for some longer ones.

    4) Went to see the lady who takes over where the psych nurse left off and had a cup of tea.

    5) Had lunch at mum and dad's.

    6) Did a good job of cleaning the tiled floor in the lounge. Takes about an hour when you move all the furniture and do a proper job.

    7) Did 3 hours of gardening this evening! That is all the flower beds weeded and some new plants put in. Watered everything and swept the patio.

Thanksforyour hugs. Dd is good at putting on brave face but dont be fooled inside she's a sensitive soul. You guys are great though, but please excuse me if 5 escape me today. Still on surreal. 25 years of marriage :-( have been out with phd stoodent (the sweetie who used to make me coffee) and we have both got a bit tipsy. He also has troubled a lovelife.
Hugs to all. Love you all lots. At the end of the day we were 2 straight gals trapped in a gay marriage :-(

Oh so PhD students are good for something then ;););) :p
(I wish there was a "tongue in cheek" smilie - 3 winkies and a :p will have to do)
I'm with you, Sparrer, Grown up is such a bore sometimes.

    Yesterday's pleasures

    1. Work was OK, someone is trying to get us all an Ipad each so fingers crossed
    2. DD came home with me which was nice and she thinks she has found THE acting course she wants to do
    3. Didn't get into trouble for going into the office on Sunday when I shouldn't have been there
    4. HE meeting at DD's school. Even though I work in HE, I don't know much about the process of getting someone there, I just get them when they start their second year. Was informative - although acting is a bit different than the usual procedure
    5. OH and I went out for tapas after - t'was yum aand we haven't been out just the two of us for ages.

Off external examining today. More cash for the big holiday fund.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Packed lunches and breakfasts for all again so keeping spending down.
    2. Bit of the ironing done before work so the ironing basket is going down a bit
    3. Met DD at the bus stop on way home from work so as just the two of us for dinner decided to go for a pizza at lovley little local restaurant. Yummy food and resonable price.
    4. DD chatting all through dinner about options she has researched for what she wants to do after she finshes her course next year. She is keen to go to university but knows it is not the right option for her at the moment so she has been looking at ways she can get the qualifications she wants. I was very impressed by her thoughts and determination.
    5. After dinner I went to a Friends of Guiding meeting. Few new people have joined us to help out at events and I have now been [STRIKE]railroaded[/STRIKE] volunteered as treasurer.
    6. Nice walk home from meeting still light at 9:30

hugs to all who need them
  • Argh. Man Plans.
Wake, shake, shave, work, tea, pub. Wobbleade.

Oh and whoever has all them cats, you can have one more, our tiger is on collect only.

And DD. Easy now on the emotional rush there.

Right we are on another day with wrong phone and no Internet.
  • Busy few days so haven't had chance to pop in, had carpet fitters, gas men (blummin' boiler has broken down twice with two different faults over 4 days, currently no hot water until Saturday ), painters, plumbers and lots of family in the house over the last ten days, so pleased to have so much help but by 'eck do I need a rest!

    1. OH back at work, house to myself. Peaceful cuppa and cake whilst I post. I love him dearly but its so nice to get back to our normal routine.

    2. Saw two bunny rabbits whilst out walking Ian the dog. Love being surrounded by woodland.

    3. Taking down the grubby conservatory blinds and giving them a good wash.

    4. Ham joint in the slow cooker, filling the house with a lovely homely scent.

    5. Taking the time to potter round the house, still lots to do but I'm taking a bt of a break today. Nothing like a good potter round to calm me down!

Oooh and one more 6. Two lovely little birds have just visited my bird feeder and are now wondering round the top of the wood gazebo :)

    1. More bee watching in the garden :)

    2. Sunshine - although a tad humid for our tastes....

    3. Started telling my bosses/HR about my wanting to leave at the end of term - shock, annoyance and then happiness crossed their faces when I followed up the words "I need to leave XX at the end of term" with "because I've accepted a place at Uni to do Primary PGCE" :) I just have the Head and the slightly less lovely boss to tell and then I can go public, shout from the rooftops etc :)

    4. A huge weight off my mind having done No. 3 above!

    5. Lovely chats on the phone with mummykins.

    6. DD has had a brilliant school trip today and came home with lots of information about British animals :)

    7. NSD....so far!

    8. Was complimented on my choice of outfit, charity shop skirt and I think the rest came from A$da today! I did feel quite smart and it'll be a good look for school :)

Hugs to all, especially those that need TLC today x
  • That is the tattling Aunt and friend have gone home, with issues settled. You see BoP's first blonde, and apparrantly [STRIKE]I was a[/STRIKE] she was a stunner. Well, I was used as a deterrent to wannabe boyfriends and she had such fun.

Such fun, that a nice man who took photos also wanted to take photos of her, which he did. But he also liked to fiddle with little boys. One door in, another out. And fiddle he bu99ered he did. Now, being only about 2 years old, one cannot recall, but felt something was wrong for years. Till I nearly smashed the BoP truck up in 2005. After child work and courses about wetting the bed. I found out what had happened and why it was swept under the carpet. Pride, was the reason. Now even my elder Big Sister does not know.

My Aunt has lived with this guilt for 50 years, or there abouts, hard for her. She was going to be a nurse, but they said she could not, using this foooooker as an excuse for her not to do so. Ruined her life, though she had a wonderful husband and my cousins, she has always felt she was the one this G from S was after. How many more did this man bu99er in the early 1960's. Did he stop? I doubt it. Hopefully the bar steward is dead now, well I think he is.

Oh, and I am male. The only thing they did, was cut off my foreskin. That probably is all they did to me.

Well Aunt has had her closure now. She can go home in peace. One ponders how many more!
