VJsmum - I'm buying as few books as I can, and have already been taking lots of textbooks out of the local library (bizarrely my nearest town has a huge education textbook section!) and reading and making notes on them
1. Yesterday's Latin course was AMAZINGI feel so fired up with wanting to teach Latin and everything else now
2. Lovely people on the course, 5 teachers and 2 wannabe's (me and an interesting former journalist).
3. Travel to the course was far easier than dreaded and got back in good time to....
4. Go out for quick dinner with OH and then....
5. Go to see a fab comedian in Brighton!
6. Sunshine
7. DD having a lovely time on her sleepover
8. Did some studying on the train, wow I still find maths tricky!!
9. House is looking reasonably clean and tidy.
10. Washing is dry on the line0 -
1 I am back from deeeeeeeepest Wales.
2 Stories and chews, with sordid tales.
3 I huffed, and gruffed, and blew no gales.
4 Fortunes were made, at the horse fair sales.
5 If your partner plays cricket on Sunday, instead of blowing off, why not make the sandwiches and join in.
It is ok, &. I have switched the yellow thing off this morn0 -

Evening all.ccp-I'll come along and warm my hands by your bbq. I've been cold all day. It's still windy, cloudy, cold. Your menu sounds delicious, bread especially:-). Can't seem to stay awake either, so off to bed. Don't feel as though amoxy's doing anything yet.
It actually turned out to be a good thing that I couldn't invite you: it was a cheap disposable bbq and produced far more smoke than heat - it would just have made you cough without warming you up at all (it barely managed to cook 6 sausages, let alone anything else). The bread was fab, btw.
VJsmum - I'm more than a little envious of your chimenea / pizza oven - it's something I'd love to own myself, so I could conduct an experiment to see if it's possible to live on pizza.
1) NSD and NPD.
2) Had a lazy sort of afternoon, pootling between working in the garden and watching the tennis. Despite the slow pace I got quite a lot done - if even the majority of what I've planted flowers then my garden will be splendidly floriferous.(And very dahlia-y: I had a count-up and I have a round dozen, in a space less than half the size of a tennis court. A casual visitor would have no problems guessing what my favourite flower is!
)
3) Ate my first HG strawberry of the year. :j As it's an alpine variety you barely notice if you eat them singly - definitely a case where it's the thought that counts!
4) Walking around without a bandage on my foot for the first time in over a year. I can't tell you how weird it feels, but in a good way.
5) LO sausages and LO bbq bread for dinner, although I haven't yet decided exactly what I'll be doing with them. :think:Back after a very long break!0 -
Really pleased about your No. 4 CCP
1. Lovely morning at church
2. DD was dropped home by her friends and we've arranged another sleepover already!
3. Still feeling buzzy after yesterday's course
4. Watching a DVD and eating popcorn with DD
5. I've found some more stuff to car boot sale.......hoorah! The more I look at my belongs, the less I feel I need - I only want the good stuff
6. Have managed to get DD around to my way of thinking -she has so many DVDs that she still likes but doesn't watch often, and we discussed whether she might want to watch them after a year of them being in storage....hopefully not!
7. DD and I made delicious pink fairy cakes, perfect for pudding after a scrummy HM carrot and lentil soup, nomnom.0 -
Pleasure of the day, playing Scrabble with Ms BoP. I am on 367 and she is well beat on 187. As all the sheep are on the board, and I seven lettered with two blanks, poor old Ms BoP has the Q.
I win I thinks.0 -
1. Two loads of washing dry outside:)
2. Cleaned lavvy, and the neverending bookshelves and the kitchen:D
3. Didn't vacate the bed till 9..lazy me!
4. Mens shirts in store 21 reduced from 9.99 to £3, cheaper than the charity shops round here so DS has a new shirt and so do I!
5. The one day a week when I don't have to decide whats for tea...I call it bread and pullit night. Or find a tin of something and do it yourself!
6. Nearly finished writing 6 week meal plan, last time I stuck to it for 4 weeks! (The yellow thing came out and I didn't fancy leek gratin cos I'd have to put the oven on!)
Generally lovely idle w/e:D2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
BoP - might I recommend you treat yourselves to a new game - Bananagram
It's like scrabble but you make all your own words out of your own tiles without a board, we love it! No point scoring though...
