Thanks Mcculloch29 for that link, it looks like a great place to find a bit of extra support.
And thanks to everyone else for welcoming me back,
Just a quick five from me as I'm propping my eyelids open-feels like ages since I had a good nights sleep. Fingers crossed for one tonight!
1. Got one of the bargain Nooks (hopefully) meaning I can borrow ebooks from the library , very :money: and paid for it with some money I made selling my unwanted clothing, double :money:
2. Exchanged contracts and we now have an official moving date, let the packing begin (and the mortgage overpayments!)
3. Toast for lunch, got a viral infection at the moment and it was the first thing I've enjoyed eating for a while.
4. OH's mum invited us to go to the car boot at the weekend, get on ridiculously well with her. She's a very thrifty and creative lady.
5. Discovering Cougar Town on lovefilm instant, meaning I can punctuate my day with small bursts of girly hilarity.

A work colleague yesterday thumped his desk. We allowed him to say the f word.
I hope no one upset him last night.0 -
Morning
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Bit of a lie in as OH had day off and was one less packed lunch to make.
2. Packed lunch and breakfasts made for me and DD, I had very yummy leftover sausage and pasta soup with a slice of HM bread.
3. Was going to do meatballs for dinner but as hadn't labeled things in the freezer got some stewing steak out instead  so had takeaway pizza for dinner (50% off code). Beef in slow cooker for tonights dinner. Pizza left over for DD lunch today and some chicken in OH's lunch.
4. Nice chat with Mum on phone, she had stitches out today but still needs to have it checked again next week but all seems to be looking good. Also got the news that my cousin had kicked out her OH, hopefully she won't take him back again as he is a not very nice person and has a very negative effect on her DD. Even his son has told her not to take him back as he doesn't want his baby brother to have the same memories as he has.
5. OH in a better mood after having a bit of a snot for a couple of days, I have learnt just to ignore him when he gets like this and they say women are hormonal.
Hugs to all who need them.0 -
Morning all - I'd say 'good morning' but don't feel there's much good about it today. I felt Powell was right when he said 'As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood." ' and my fears are confirmed daily. RIP brave British soldier. Prayers and sincere condolences to his family.
However, our lives go on, we need find daily good in what we have or we'd go crazy! So -
Thank you chicken, yes I did see the Oban programme. Strange feeling as I'd been there only a few days previously, it was almost like I was still there. I saw much we didn't have time to do, next time I'll drive up or hire a car for a few days. Re vets, mine can cuddle me any day, he's
ampersand I'm another who loves Chanel 5, my dear late friend bought me my first as a gift and unfortunately it's out of my price range so am eking out the last bottle for as long as possible. I do like to open it occasionally just to have a whiff, and wonderful memories it brings. Lot 827, beautiful!
Lovely to see you post missmoneysave, and no need for apologies at all. As others have said a good +/- post does the world of good and you're in the right place to say whatever you feel
Frith do you have a feeling that CCP is teasing us? She keeps throwing in little remarks about her Brie
OT congrats to your friend's husband, just shows there's always hope if you don't give up
Kittikins we'll be following your uni news with great interest!
PK have a super time in the COL, hope the weather is good to you
Pooky your post made me laugh, is your DD a terrible two, or a teen? (Can you tell I've been there, done that and just about survived to tell the tale?!) Good to have you and your furpets along, the more the merrier
mcculloch the Ouch site looks interesting, will have a better read of it when I have more time. Says she posting mid-morning when the housework is piling up around me!
tealady good news about your DM. Well done your cousin, may she remain strong and have a much happier future ahead
1. A mechanic friend is going to put a new cam belt in my car, and do some diy in the house for me. The bathroom roller blind has been in its packet for two years now, about time I got round to getting it put up! He's an expectant dad so is always looking for extra work to do to cover costs of nursery etc.
2. Chicken soup is in sc, made from carcass, jelly, old onion, carrot etc. Smelling very good!
3. Rain is forecast but beaten it by getting laundry out at 8am. Just taken most of it in, been blown beautifully dry already
4. Good meeting with friends last night, took shortbread with me and brought empty boxes home
5. Bought a rather posh hairbrush with vouchers so it only cost me £1.97p.
Enjoy the day, stay safe0 -

BoP - The picture you posted was much more fitting than the disgusting news reports that have been put out, why are they giving them the coverage they want  I turned my TV off last night in disgust, I know they need to report these things but the way it was reported was not necessary0

No words can express my thoughts. RIP BRAVE SOLDIER0 -
Evening all.
1) Received my fortnightly veg box and it's a really good one: usually there's at least one thing that I can't think of a use for, but I'll eat everything this time.
2) One of my favourite summer lunches - various veg, crispbreads, and some RTC hummous to dip it all in.
3) Sunshine in between the downpours.
4) Something with asparagus for dinner tonight. Probably more asparagus, actually.
5) Only one more day at work this week, then only one day at work next week before I head off to my DP's.
6) Yesterday, I got home to find that someone had dropped an unopened bottle of sparkling water in the driveway. I left it somewhere sheltered but prominent for the owner to re-claim, but they haven't, so now it's mine.
Frith / sparrer - sorry, I'll stop mentioning the brie now, if only because I've eaten it all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Good evening all !
Ditto . RIP to the hero slaughtered by fanatics. You will not be forgotten.
PK and VJmum - wouldn't it be great if you were both going to the same place with your C'sOL?
Skintos - Blimey thats a lot of stuff you are taking.
5 for today
1. Day two of audit went well - the company had hired their own independent Consultant - who came in just as my colleague and I were giving feedback. This is usually very contentious (sp) . It went well - we were all in agreement about what needs to be done and what is going well.
2. Received feedback from the tutor on the first unit of the course that Mcculloch(thank you)kindly directed us all to . Feedback did not correct any "No sh*t Sherlock " statementsI got " I did not need to correct any of your answers... " I shall take it as "evidence" of C.P.D in my appraisal next week.
3. Terrier waiting for me when I got home. Terrier has covered my black work shirt in white fur- hairy knockers or what !
4. hm KFC for tea
5. Wo hoo- now off until next Tuesday.:T
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0
