Morning
Kittikins - Your poor DM hope she gets better NOW ((((Hugs))))
PK- Hugs to you as well
Chicken - I have no Bzz compaigns at the moment:(
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Low spend day
2. Finally managed to get some washing dried on the line
3. Packed lunches and breakfasts for everyone
4. OH cooked dinner even if he did make a bit of a performance out of it, anyone would think he was asked to do dinner every night not just once in a blue moon
5. Read some of my book while he cooked, think I may of been expected to help, oh well.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
kittikns hope your mum recovers well...broken ribs ...ouch!
Well almost bedtime again on Tuesday night. So a few pleasures from past few days..
1. Stuffed from dinner! Lasagne ....made with love by my husband ...I had started and he took over! Then I made cranberry and white choc cookies which were delicious and nearly gone! Apple and pear sponge for pudding!
2. Work has been okay...busy but not quite as mad as before.
3. Finished a library book and started another...good to be reading again.
4. OH is feeling better. Has stopped taking a drug which side effects were making him unwell....the difference is startling. A couple of weeks ago he was hardly eating dinner let alone cooking dinner.
5. It was our 2 year birthday at work yesterday , I made mocha cupcakes for the team which were quite lovely!
Incidentally 2 of the boys from our first year of opening popped in, not seen them in ages. Was nice to catch up with them. One is heading to the Victorian Alps for the winter season ( about 2 hours drive away) he has never seen snow aged 23!
6. On Sunday we popped up to nearish shopping mall to go to department store. The dinner set I'm gradually collecting piece by piece was on offer....buy 3 get 4 th free. However only 4 plates left and one had a tiny ( like no one else is goings notice!) mark....so got an extra 10% off!
Have a lovely day, me and my book are heading off to bed!
Hugs to all who need one!0 -
By the way.....I'm obviously missing on the cucumber patch comments!
Please explain!0 -
Hello everyone, haven't been around for a while due to the old 'it never rains it pours' scenario!
Had a terrible time of late, depression has reared its ugly head again and the 'help' I've been received has been hugely inappropriate and made me worse, currently in the process of formally complaining about the treatment I've received, been made to feel like a naughty child having a tantrum rather than a distressed adult. Currently have no access to any services to help me and have been on the waiting list for the county Aspergers team (i was formally diagnosed 4 years ago) for over a year! The benefit changes have been rolled out in my area so feeling the pressure from that and when posting on forums (not this one) I've been met with abuse from people who assume all those on benefits are lazy.Feeling completely abandoned and let down by the system at the moment, thankfully I have my wonderful partner and loving family, couldn't survive wihout them. Eveything OS has gone out the window, there's been no spending diary, no home cooked food and no fun
But.....I've had enough of feeling sad so I'm going to do my best to get back into the swing of things. My partner and I have just bought our first home together (moving 7th June) and I want it to be a happy home that is run in an OS fashion. I want to get back to proper cooking, dog walking and looking after myself. There isnt anything I can do about the healthcare or benefits systems, I'll just have to muddle through and I know a lot of people are in the same situation and feeling the same pressures. I hope by resuming posting here I can try and focus on the things that I can enjoy and that it might help me to keep up the OS style living that I so thoroughly enjoy. Baby steps to a happy new home!
(Sorry the above was so long but it feels better getting it off my chest)
My five OS pleasures for today;
1. Meal planned, it's only for tonight and tomorrow but it's a start.
2. Managed to get to the solicitors to sign the paperwork. I have terrible issues with the texture of clothing and if its a bad day I literally cannot get dressed but I managed to talk myself round and I got there with OH's help.
3. OH made me smile, as always.
4. Posting on here, been thinking about it for a few days but couldn't muster the energy, glad that I have 'got back on the horse'.
5. Going to make myself a large cup of tea and give myself a pat on the back for deciding to try and take control of things again rather than leaving them to ruin.
Apologies again for the long post and if my ranting and moaning has impacted on the cheerful tone of this thread, thanks for listening.Comper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -

Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all.
MMS - it's good to see you back, and you've got nothing to apologise for - I think we've all vented on here at one time or another, knowing that we're amongst people who will sympathise and understand.
Kittikins - hope your poor DM recovers quickly.Chickenopolis wrote: »CCP - you sound quite chilled after your weekend away .:D
I did, didn't I? Who would have thought a trip to Reading could have such an effect.
1) The flowers on my rhododendron and azaleas are starting to open.
2) Found a silver cleaning cloth that I bought some time ago and had almost forgotten about, which cleaned up my slightly tarnished earrings nicely before work.
3) Delicious, oozy, perfectly ripe brie for lunch.
4) I was annoyed with myself for forgetting the tomatoes when I went to the supermarket last night, then found some RTC in the corner shop today. :money:
5) Only another week at work then I'm off on holiday again, to visit my DPs this time.Back after a very long break!0 -

bop one educationalist reporting for duty but mighty fed up with the whole equal marriage thing. Looking more and more distant as the rest of the world moves on.
Oh no, now only need to upset a social worker!
No, when it comes law, I think BoP like the sailor he is, will have a lass in every port. Only then, it will be legal! Bring on the Bigamy law.
Early POETS day tomorrow, well Jenny is being booted and checked.
Oh, and those feeling down. Get up, get on. Yes, BoP shouts. But you only get one lifeline on this planet. No lifebelt. Just you. Get in there, get out. If you does not, the molehill comes a mountain.
Take not the easy road, but the free gym. Just minded me this morn, some mentioned a tv show. As I no longer watch, it flew over my head.0
