    2. DD is enjoying her last dance rehearsal before the show, I'm enjoying not chaperoning tonight!

    3. Great day at work

    4. Took out LOTS of books from the library, including 15 children's books for DD's age group as part of my uni prep; we're going to read, swap and discuss the books :)

    5. Cuddles and major silliness with DD! :):):)

Girlie magazines are plain wrapped on the top shelf.

The press today got the same contempt as Mr Gall did during his broadcasts from Riyadh in 1990 Too many late nights

It was the same on 3rd May 1982

Hmmm today did not go as planned.
    1) made appointment to see nurse later and bounced into my 8:30 meeting where we sniggered shamelessly at the abstract from a student doing a phd about designing a robot for a one stop holistic colon clearing. Not laughing at the colon cleaning, a definite necessity for those having invasive investigations, but holistic? One stop? Amazed he didnt add 'while you wait'
    2) then dashed to 10am meeting where we got through all the cases hooray. Lunch provided nom nom then dash to nurse who...
    3) said hmmm 2 weeks since your cough started. Will need to do nose swab AND blood test as the nose swab is for people up to 2 weeks and the blood test for longer than 2 weeks. Oh lucky me! Am adding nose swab to one of my 50 first experiences!
    4) took bus to ninewells and had cuppa with 2 friends (one is doing a phd on colonrectal screening so mentioned the holistic one stop robot). Got back to my desk with phone message from public health and...
    5) i have been quarantined till next thursday in case it's whooping cough. Dd2's bf was diagnosed 2 days ago hence appointment with nurse. Was mighty fed up as was cathcing up on work nicely. Have to admit have now got used to a week at home :-) already in bed and about to catch up on ambridge. Shall also add being quarantined to 50 as most definitely another first! That takes me to 31

Spoke to a dear friend who we tend to only speak to rarely, due to us all being so stupidly busy. We are hoping to meet up in a week or so. This is partly why I am giving up the girly weekends away as i spend these with someone I don't like and sacrifice seeing someone I do.

Night all - i'm off to bed
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Dundeedoll - I've had whooping cough and it actually wasn't too bad! Hope you are OK.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Nice porridge for breakfast.

    3) Went to smaller son's school for his progress meeting. He is progressing nicely! Also found out while I was there that the specialist teacher went in to observe him (he didn't notice) and he has a place ready for him in a few weeks in an autism unit. It seems the waiting list can be up to a year (only 8 places in the county, it appears) but they actually have a vacancy.

    4) Made this for tea, was very nice. http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pulses-recipes/vegetarian-chilli

    5) Sons very jolly this evening.

    That's about it!

Though I have to say about noses, I still pay full price at the barbers, and get my moneys worth with the hairdresser, at least I has not gone rusty over the years

    Normal disservice is resumed!

Appear some have been upset by our media. The Sun Reporter was sent, beer in tossed hand, packing from the Wheatsheaf in May 1982. Long before other campaigns.

As for TV, last night was a good old black and white classic, and I still think she should had stayed in the flat with the Dr. Good shots of Carnforth Railway stations as well! And the bored for Leeds Bradford. Guess you can still get there from under the clock. Ms BoP was duly tear jerked as well. (BoP leant his hankie) (No I as not gone all soft either!!!)

Shopping day, gets some of that new fangled Woobleade as well as things for Ms Whacks legs, netted this month.

Second day of the Heart Monitor and boy is it ... Well I thinks Jenny and the external wire are chatting a bit!

Thinks' I will have some cake and a bit of tea later on.

Now bank holiday weekend and it is a goodbye from The Yellow Thing

Oh, and apologies if my references were blunt. If I had said it like I should, BoP would be banned!

PK - Have a great weekend in the COL
Lovefullshelves - Which essential oil are you using? Think may need to try some :o

    Pleasures for yesterday,

    2. Yummy cake at work due to charity day, again would have been rude not to try them :D
    3. Remembered to put beef in the slow cooker before work so had slow cooked beef in pepper sauce for dinner with Rosti potatoes for dinner, always popular.
    4. Nice soak in the bath and an early night, bliss

Hugs to all who need them
