I lost my post so this one won’t be as wordy.:rotfl:
1.Day off with family helping with transport and car repairs and it was lovely, but back to the commute / office tomorrow
2.Wandered around a lovely nature reserve, the sun broke through, and remembered to take a flask and sarnies.:D
3.Popped to mr t just now and picked up a few rtc’s;), used a few vouchers.
4.Made an impromptu bacon sandwich as ripped the bacon pack by mistake, of course it would only be safe if I cooked it with the RTC lettuce and fresh granary bread...0 -
Evening
CCP - Hope you have a better day tomorrow
Pleasures for today,
1. Towels washed before work this morning and dried on the line
2. LSD just spent a £1 on some cheap takeaway style plastic boxes. Also got some cough sweets but used B00ts points to pay for them.
3. Free jacket potato and chilli at work from a meeting lunch. There was quite a lot of jacket fillings left over so used my newly bought plastic pots and one each of chilli, coleslaw, baked beans and salad. Chilli went in the freezer at home, used the salad and coleslaw for dinner as well as some of the beans. Will have the rest on the beans on toast for breakfast tomorrow.:money:
4. Credit card bill today and all on budget, hopefully will be able to put a bit more money into savings again this month.
5. Nice chat with DD on the phone. She is having a great time at parents and they are loving having her there. I am also finding it quite moneysaving her being away
Hugs to all who need them0 -
It s really getting ugly tonight. I let Ms Smack beat mes at Scrabble last day. But she is upset I left one obvious misspelt word on, and bounced in on the treble word. Then she has a seven letterer hoofed because a two letter word was not in BoPs official scrabble words.
Worse was to come as I slammed down a seven letterer on the treble word where she had been hoofed from.
I was 125 points ahead when the rules were checked. As always in BoP house, rules are kept under the bored. Game over.
Shock Thread.

I am really enjoying the feeling, at the end of the day, of looking back and counting my blessings - puts everything into perspective....
Here's mine:
1) Still on Easter hols from school so another lazy start to the day with a cup of tea in bed listening to a blackbird outside singing his little heart out. One of his 'tunes' sounds like the intro to 'I'm a Barbie girl' - maybe you had to be there:o
2) Seeing the delight on DD's face when the ortho told her she could have her braces off in three months - it's only taken two years to get to this point! Her dad gave her a voucher for Christmas for a makeover and photographic session so she can now go ahead and book that:T
3)Lovely chat with the parentals on the 'phone. Popping up to Suffolk tomorrow to see them and have a spot of lunch at the local hostelry.
4) Still plenty of daylight left after supper so managed to part-dig another veg bed ready for planting
5) Tucked up in bed with a cup of camomile tea listening to the rain on the window - so cosy.
6) Weather forecast not good for tomorrow, but have to say the garden could do with a shower to freshen it up a bit.
Looking forward to another brand new day .....:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Amount £21862:eek:April 2013 = £20414:T April 2014 = £11000 :TApril 2015 = £9500 :T April 2016 = £7200:T

Oh CCP - so sorry about your blessed foot. you must be well peed off
Today's
1. walked to station and wore my thinner winter coat and wasn't cold.
2. Went with colleague on a site visit - love a building site, me, and this is a major midlands development. Was interesting and I was also able to take a colleague along for which he was really grateful
3. That meant an early dart home and was there before 5
4. Went to Mr M on the way (a little local one) for some bread, just as they were doing drastic reductions - got hummus, pizza, sausages, curry and rice - all for less than half price and a huuuuuge bag of bananas for 9p, enough to make about 4 lots of banana bread
5. I had taken out a frozen plated up dinner left over from Easter sunday so no cooking :T just 2 mins in the micro.
6. DD has been to London to a show and has just got in. She should have been back about 7 but was stalking the Cumberbatch as they were filming Sherlock near Euston station (hmm, I am at Euston on Friday - maybe I should do some <deer>stalking:rotfl:)
Off to beddy byes and a lie in tomorrow as I'm working from home :T (bet i'll be awake at 6 now!)I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Back from the pub after 2 glasses of ginger beer and a soda and lime

CCP so sorry to hear your foot is playing up again. thinking of you and hoping the pain goes away soon if not sooner
DD your soda and lime reminds me of when I asked for a lime and soda in a restaurant and they brought me lime and cider _pale_. I've always stressed lime and soda water ever since!
1. Had the windows and doors open all day
2. Pottered, pruned and weeded for a while
3. On the understanding that we'd have similar weather tomorrow I took all the nets down and put them in the washing machine ready to turn on in the morning. Then I heard the forecast, it's going to rain for the next 2 days
4. Postie brought me yet more shampoo and conditioner to trial, I shan't need to buy any for a year or two now!
5. Did roots using half a £1 hair dye
- and an extra one, 6. Found out I'm almost £40 in credit on Amazon. Now do I buy or do i save for presents?
sweet dreams0 -
Yesterday's delights........
1. Surprised myself by finishing off 99% of the wallpaper stripping, only left the really high bit above a glass door that with my clumsiness would have been dangerous to attempt!
2. NSD/NPD
3. G popped over to lend me her Henry hoover and we had a rematch of junior scrabble
4. OH took us out for amazing dinner in't village, I had a salad (and, er....chips)
5. Lovely texts and emails from some chums, keeping me more cheerful than I might otherwise be feeling at the moment!0 -
CCP - ((hugs)) to you - you don't seem to be having much luck lately plus it has been a long winter for your SAD .
BoP - I am tempted to say to that FB linky "Up Yer Junta " and another old '80's classic along with "Gotcha"Ex- OH served in that war.
Have a good day all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Lager and black. That will put the pigeons flocking round the cats!
And I did win Scrabble. You just has to nose when to challenge a word and not. Does get Ms Backup going though.
Still gloating that Mariners are in the playoffs. Expectant to be disappointed though later. Big match this weekend against Sparrowshome. Getting ruff already for it.
Downloaded a programme (free, as allowed to and still pay no TV tax) last night. It had 10 seconds on the Ice House in Grimsby!! Very poor diction and content, but Father did his refrigeration training there in 1963. Thought the programme was very disjointed, cherry picking and sensationalist. Peep though at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01rwzmg/Coast_Series_8_The_Workers_Coast/
And for crying our loud, IT IS DOCK TOWER Yes it does look like some romantic foreign church tower, but it is not!
Thank goodness we pay no TV Tax
Rites I ams off to Glawster to collect for the BHF.
