Hugs mhagster, that's made me well up *sniff* Such a lovely post and I wish I did know you and your family in RL, not just for the holiday location ;) but you sound such lovely people x

Having a pants day, any help in rewriting my personal statement yet again for teacher training application - by tomorrow morning - as I called Uni 2 as they still don't like my statement but have said they'll look at it yet again if I can write something very focussed on the age 5-11 range. No pressure then.....and I had a totally sh1te day at work, lack of communication, pressure building up beyond compare, you know, the kind that makes you feel like drowning your sorrows in a bottle of gin :(

I brought home tons of work with the plan of trying to do some so I feel less like I'm drowning, but now have this statement to do.

Ho hum....I will come back with pleasures at some point, there have been some :)

    Good evening all !

Lost my post at stupid o'clock this morning - you lucky people ;)

Mhagster - your post made me well up a bit - especially the gift of time bit . Gentle hugs to your DH- you all need a better year

Sparrer - I hope that the parrot is ok?? I hope that the parrot is ok?? repeat .... get it ??:p They are great fun but smell a bit too pi**y for my liking. Sister and nephew have one each a grey and a green amazon which she has had for nearly 30 years. He shouts MUUUUUM !!! and she thinks it's the kids and gets very cross about it all :rotfl:The neighbours don't appreciate his charms either.

Frith - ignore the bore who clearly hasn't a clue about women.

PK - not telling - I prefer your OGV's and VJsmums

Missmoneysave , Ian and Mr.MMs-
    that's great news.

5 for today and 1 from last night

    1. Hen ran into the kitchen at full pelt , because she is so very greedy and whilst she picked crumbs off of the slate floor she took one almighty chunk out of my second toe as it was poking out of the hole in my sock. It still hurts and she wouldn't let go! reminded me of the pain of a parrot bite Sparrer ! Imagine explaining that in A &E.. ooh a hen bit me:rotfl:

2.Today- work ok .New manager of a company that I work with and I are on same wave length , thank goodness.Productive meeting at "their place".

3.Finished the above earlier than expected - same wave length probably ;) Typed up report at home.

    4. Lovely day here OH has done 3 lots of washing today all line dried- I made a song and dance about the overflowing washing basket saying I was not spending my Bank Hol. being a drudge- ...note to self , must try that one again:D

5.Mcculloch - course materials have arrived :TThank you once again.

Not so good ... a poorly pet theme seems to be going on here. Tiny terrier has been sick for a few days - off to Vetski in a moment - she is perky enough but I think she might have swallowed a bit off of one of her squeaky toys or something.

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

  • Welcome to the Garden Eden.

And & you can jolly well ... Thing is last night in plastic concrete mansion, was at the nitrokeg bar, and two idiots, obviously BMW driving reps, decide it is ok to use Frodingham bus shelter language. I minded them that outside of S!!!!horpe it is unacceptable. They continued to chatter, but cut out chattel.

    Bed like concrete.

No pleasures today as away from Lady Smack. Ooooh, la.

    Evening all.

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday - I decided I was driving both myself and mog mad by checking on him every few minutes, so I wandered down to the pub to watch the football, and ended up doing the pub quiz and winning a bottle of wine.

Mog had to go back to the vet this evening as I can't get him to eat anything: I had a horrible feeling it was The End but the vet's got a few bright ideas and has promised that mog will get the treatment he needs regardless of the cost, for which 'we can sort something out'. What a nice vet. :T

mhagster - fingers crossed the change of medication helps this time - hugs to you all.

Welcome new posters, and hugs to poorly pets.
Back after a very long break!

Thanks for your posts, everyone else - always enjoy coming here :D

    Today

1 DS was rewarded with an easter egg for his 100% attendance so far (this term - and actually since September)
    2. Drove to work cos it was snowing - not MSE, not OS but don't care :p which meant I could get home quicker and
    3. visit the chinese supermarket. Always a vogage of discovery - got a humungous tub of bicarb of soda and one of white vinegar for not very much, as well as a few other bits and bobs we needed
    4. tidied my desk at work - people will think i'm leaving. Only really get time to do it in holiday times. Also my boss, who is just back from Singapore, reckons there may be opportunities for me to go out there for work :T
    5. went for a walk when I got home, it was bitterly cold but bright. I felt better for it.

    Have a good evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
