Evening
Mhagster - Hope appointment goes well tomorrow for Mr Mhags
Pleasures for today,
1. Managed to get up OK this morning. OH normally gives me a shove when time to get up but as he was working was worried I would oversleep.
2. Half day at work as was supposed to be going to something with OH but as he was still really tired and was freezing out we decided to give it a miss so just had a bit of a lazy afternoon.
3. Sorted some banking out. Moved some money left in current account at end of month into savings account. Also made an appointment to sort out new ISA as mine has dropped to the 0.5% rate. Will be done next week so will get a bit more interest.
4. Snap on dinner Chicken, we had chicken chow mein for dinner as well and there is a portion left for my lunch tomorrow.
5. Sorting out some jewellery with DD, found some bits we forgot we had which DD can use.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
CCP best wishes for moggy recovery.
Well done to all who are managing to keep busy and motivated during this foul weather. No snow here but so bitterly cold and biting, I'd prefer snow.
5 things (a struggle):- Some respite from the endless arguments about how long is too long for DSs to spend online
- Yum cold weather hotpot tho DS1 not keen, BBC recipe, just the ticket
- Our road about to be resurfaced, has looked like it's been shelled so a very good thing
- OHs mobile back from menders, mended, at 'just' the excess and no more
- I can go to bed now. Yay.

1. Massive lie in this morning, after getting up extra early on w'end. I fell asleep in my chair last night, brain dead after marking online and woke at 7. Took myself up to bed and slept deeply for four hours.
2. Despite a late start, moved smartly through a fair sized workload.
3. Freebies in post - a book of crochet projects, one of travel short stories, two teabags and a little bottle of bath emollient. All very welcome.
4. Not having to go out into a bitter wind today.
5 Discovering in my wardrobe a long, thick, chunky cardigan that I thought I had CS'ed. Most of my heavyweight knitwear is good quality and really too nice to wear whilst cooking and doing housework. The chunky cardi is nicely scruffed up and it doesn't matter if I spill anything on it.
6. Your pleasures - and good wishes to all unwell, human and animal.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
PK I wonder if your built-like-a-tank car is an OGV. I believe they're like a good wine, improve with age! Right, chicken?
CCP I really do hope you foot will heal now, I know how you're getting fed up with it all. Let's hope they've done the trick this time
No snow in my village BoP, some on the fields round about but the roads are clear thanks to the very kind local male population making a huge effort to grit them. We womenfolk are very grateful indeed! Hope Jenny is stil behaving after her antics of last week.
1. Had an annoying cyst on my finger joint part-removed (because it's deep and really needs surgery which I've declined atm as they have better things to spend their money on) at GP surgery this morning, and treated myself to a fresh cream slice afterwards for being a good girl and not making a fuss even though it 'urt
2. Have just about mastered the injections on mog, she didn't even wince this morning
3. Looking to change a bank account to elsewhere and learning I'd get £55 cashback, which helped me come to a decision
4. Watching Our Girl, funny sad, poignant, particularly for anyone who is or has/had relatives in the forces
5. Postie brought me two dishwasher tabs (will give those to DD) and a sample of low carb cat food specially for diabetic cats
Busy day ahead so lights out, sweet dreams0 -
Frith - was there snow in that photo ??? Tbh I wasn't really looking at the snow :rotfl:;) I could see a very tall farmer holding up a cliff
Was worried it was going to be a dressing gowned Mr. N !!
Sparrer - Yep - the OGV is now nearly 6 years old we had her from new but she sounds a bit rough at the moment . Ouch re your finger
CCP - good luck with the tests for your mog xx
Have a good day all:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1. horses out playing in the snow all wrapped up snuggly in their rugs

4. lots of wild birds in the garden eating bird seed
5. the sun is shining and its very bright with all the snow.0 -
Good evening all !
OT - nice to have you back
5 for today
1. Site visit went well .
2. Finished earlier than planned so worked from home . Gotta love that little old memory stick.
3.Heatpack on back whilst typing up the nuts and bolts of a report . Luxury
4. A few dandruffy bits of snow fell , nothing settled thank goodness.
5. Pasta ,quorn, pesto and veg for tea.
6. Might steal the terrier for the evening as OH is going out and she won't sit on the sofa if he is on it (we have a cover on it of course).Don't think she entirely trusts men- who knows what went on in her previous home!
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
My five are
1. Soup for lunch
2. Being warm at work - a rarity at the moment
3. HM shepherds pie for tea.
4. Good walk this morning.
5. DS2 vacuumed0 -
SPARRA Jenny played up after change of meds. So back to original. Actually buzz box was racing, so cardiology need to download again.
Fed up.
FISH or England. Mariners every time.
No pleasures as away from Lady Black.
Please keep BoPs thoughts to your sens, as it worries Lady Whack. She misses her BoP. Actually I thinks she wants a ride on the train.
Oh, and hope the kitty is ok.0 -
1. Ooh dear!-type Archers moments. Not finding them engaging, engrossing, must-keep-uppy at all atm. Boring Tom[and Brenda]. Panting Lilian. Slimy Paul. Oh, I forget: The Archers are Real; there is no cast. Heard Vanessa Whitburn signing off after 1,397 years as exec prod. Liz'n'Ifty? She wouldn't spill beans on Chris'n'Alice split either. Cast-cutting=cost-cutting? Mass slidings from rooftops en store?
2. Bitterly cold day. Have scarcely been out in it - when I did, I quickly didn't. Not fussed. About to resume exhausting reading soon. Wouldn't mind some box watching ce soir.
3. The roses are still holding well, but I let the jonquils go to compost today. Wrinkled and finished they were, but there was still scent.
4. Must be time for fresh hwb...gosh yes, so late by 24hr clock - nightytime again.
5. Rest of last night's mushroom/leek omelette with last avocado and black lapsang feels exactly right. Luckily, other readers quail....
So glad to read home is where hearts are again, dd.
Special thoughts for Mr Mhags.
