5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2
Comments
-
Pleasures for today (so far).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Boys got off to school OK. Sister (lives about 4 miles away) got stuck in a snowdrift on her way to work!
3) Went to nearest town. Charity shop finds today: a warm scarf, a tunic style top and a Sue Townsend novel. Also got a bucket!
4) Took new bucket and went to the grit bin and gritted the alleyway, garden path etc.
5) Went swimming with my brother.
6) Cleaned the living room (a million muddy footprints) and have lit the fire and don't intend doing much this evening. Might do a belated Earth Hour later.
And here, for brother watchers, is the snow in his village! Sorry I can't re-size these giant photos.

3. DS2 cooking tea
4. House tidied or almost.
5. Watching the GP yesterday0 -
Evening all
Thanks Sparrer, I didnt know that, might be needed if I go for another £ hair dye bargain :rotfl:
1. Cleaned kitchen before work (love my new stuff, looks so pretty in a clean kitchen)
2. Kids have done all their jobs (dd cleaned kitchen floor twice )
3. Ds2 read to me on a harder reading level and did brilliantly
4. Kids at street dance so had a lovely whoopsied tea in peace (and they ate all theirs otherwise they couldnt go :rotfl:)
5. 2 loads of washing done and 3rd in machine, hopefully will get it hung up tonight0 -
Evening all.
Thanks all for your good wishes for mog - I won't get the lab results back for a couple of weeks, but the vet said he's "cautiously optimistic" which sounds promising. At the moment he (mog, not the vet!) is still rather wobbly and sorry for himself - he's having trouble eating, too, which is sad for a cat who loves his food as much as mine does!
1) Slept better than I thought I would.
2) Did my dog magnet trick on a bulldog pup and a CKC spaniel at the vet's - the spaniel tried to climb into my lap for a cuddle, which was particularly cute.Less pleasurable was the amount of sticky tape it took to get all the dog hair off my trousers afterwards!
3) Hospital appointment was less arduous than I expected - they think the problem is something very minor and, now it's been fixed, everything will finally heal. Fingers crossed that they're right - I'm not having another 6 months of this!
4) Watching a pair of little birds - goldcrests I think - that have been hopping around my garden all afternoon, which I hope means they're planning to nest somewhere nearby.
5) My line manager kindly agreed to let me take tomorrow as a day off, at very short notice, so I can keep an eye on mog and take him straight back to the vet if the eating problem doesn't resolve itself overnight.
Oh, and I almost forgot:
6) It snowed! Only for about half an hour, and it didn't settle, but the flakes were huge and looked very pretty.
Frith - wow, that's a lot of snow! :shocked:Back after a very long break!0 -
Hugs to CCP and her kitty. Let's hope.
Went across the country to SPARRA lands, from no snow to loads.
No pleasures today as away from Lady Black.0 -
1.Work was fine
2.Erm we were looking at a car tonight and in fairness we were looking at is with a view to buying an old car, its 23 years old built like a tank, and err some how we decided sod it lets buy it! :rotfl:Not MSE at all fallen off the angelic wagon with a thud. :rotfl:It’s MOT’d and taxed for 6 months and a diesel. It ticked all of the boxes but did I mention it is very big.
3.Pasta bake for Tea
4.Nameless one booked in for a neuter tomorrow.
5. Working from home tomorrow due to vet appt, but still have to be up at 7am bah humbug.0 -

4) walked home. 10490 steps on my pedometer. A good way to end the day. A bluster of snow but nothing settling
5) then l!dl shop cos out of peppers. Spent rather more than normal, but now mega stocked if we do get snowed in (unlikely so close to the sea and with a one mile wide river outside our house) Scrummy bean stew and now in bed listening to ABC murders on 4 extra.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
