Hello,my Saturday pleasures!
I have changed my Internet password so my kids can't use MY Internet! Thank you husband for the ingenious idea of changing it !
Kids had various places to be today so our routine was slightly out but :
Nice 2 hour call to friend as we put the world to rights and caught up on our weeks news...just like we did before I emigrated.
School was having a second hand school uniform sale, managed to get DD1 a winter uniform skirt, in VG condition and saved about $25 .unfortunately they did not have anything in DD2 size so will have to buy new....however last years was a $6 bargain from charity shop so I've got off fairly lightly so far!
Girls went out and about so OH,DS and I went for a leisurely lunch, sat out the glorious 29o heat ( under a parasol ) and had a nice meal and a good chat about uni and stuff! See I can take the heat if I'm not doing anything but when I have to do something....like work, wash, iron, Hoover, generally everything other than sit down I can't stand it!
Our usual town for shopping was having a weekend festival on so we could not get parked so went elsewhere and spent a blooming fortune. OH has had the return of appetite( new meds) and was filling the trolley like there was no tomorrow! DS was managing to help fill the trolley! So more than usual spent ,however , I have been way under budget past 2 weeks so it evens out.
Has a wee afternoon siesta.
DD1 is out a friends party with a Mexican theme! Ola. ! She had went to big supermarket sized charity shop last night and bought a new sombrero, a Mexican moustache and a bright piece of fabric she made into a poncho. One of my customers is Mexican and I'd asked her for advice. She showed me a little doll she keeps in her office to show me how a Mexican girl would look like.
So I pleated DDs hair with many colored ribbons in it, nice make up and.......she plonked a great big furry moustache on! So looked like a cross dressing Mexican!
We then had to pop into a shop to buy a gift card on the way to party and the look on the assistants face was hilarious! DD and I were literally bent double laughing so hard!
So that's been my day, nothing too strenuous!
Enjoy your Saturday x0 -

Yup. Our family friend Ross was one such person. Previously our local hospital checked out families when someone was diagnosed with heart problems.
Cutbacks did for that, and beautiful, lovely Ross who so loved life, and whom we loved so much, died of a massive heart attack aged 45, just a few months after his father.
So now it's BHF every time and a delightful discovery that donations can be said to come from my son, so that they can claim Gift Aid. Yippee! :j Gift Aid being claimed goes on the address apparently.
My plunging 2012/2013 income has stopped Gift Aid for me, though thankfully the income has now stopped plunging.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Good evening all! i have been lurking and reading this thread for a while now, and always enjoy seeing what everyone has been up to so thought I'd finally join in.
Ok, here goes....
1. First ever shift as nurse in charge went very well last night, so feeling much more confident about having to take charge on a day shift next week. ( I only qualified in October so still feel a bit  about the extra responsibility involved.)
2. stopped off at L@dl to browse and found 24 packs of crisps for £1.07, so stocked up on them for DS lunchboxes and general snacks.
3. Got home to a lovely cup of tea and Poached eggs on YS WWatcher bread made by OH.
4. Pretty good sleep despite being the weekend and busy house with DS at home and OH cousin round all day. Only woke up a couple of times and think that was mainly due to being cold, it's pretty chilly today.
5. Received e-mail from u- switch for free wine voucher from switching utilities a while ago. Had pretty much forgotten about it, so pleasantly surprised. Nothing like the promise of free wine to brighten up my day.
Must get ready for night shift no.2. Enjoy your evening everyone.:):j Good things come to those who coupon. :j

Welcome CouponChaos, a wonderful career just don't envy those night shifts.
1. I overslept to 10am woken up be knocks on the door from a very deep sleep.
2.It took 2 of us 2 hours to clear out and tidy up the green house,
3.We took a trip out to a garden centre not MSE at all, having got some bargain bird food a while ago on offer needed a seed feeder so got one, and some orchid re potting things, put it out and thought the birds will take a month and they found it literally in minutes.:rotfl:
4.As we spent a bit in the garden centre, I’m making cheat food rather than take away, goodfellas pizza and some pre made rtc things from the freezer and it really did taste wonderful, we worked out it cost a total of £2.80 total for the 2 of us, better than take away rates.:D
5. Still feeling positive but a bit poorly:o
6. I’ve started sorting things out kind of drastically de cluttering,:cool:0
