    Evening

Ampersand / Missmoneysave - Get well NOW
Skint - Good luck for tomorrow

    Pleasures for today -

    1. Packed lunches and breakfasts for everyone, starting the week as mean to go on.
    2. LSD, just spent a £1 on some low fat crisps for emergency snacks in the office. Better than using the vending machine
    3. Returned a jacket DD ordered but was wrong size so money back in my account. Also returned a jumper to M&S that OH got for christmas and didn't fit. Got a credit note which will be used to buy some flowers for his parents anniversary tomorrow.
    4. Credit card bill much lower this month than it has been and bank account to pay much higher than it has been :T
    5. DD loving dinner of Ald! ribs with vegetable rice and salad. Will definetly put on the meal plan again.

hugs to all who need them

A meagre claim to 'fame' - some ongoing connections through school, work and private life, I respect their anonymity. Those no longer with us include Dors and Lake, Princess Margaret, Sir Winston Churchill, Brian Epstein - many political, theatrical and musician friends of the Trapani's who owned Skindles in the 60's. Some remain unnamed who have fallen from grace since those days. Sadly Skindles has fallen into disrepair, would love a lottery win to restore it to its former glory. And reputation ;)

Wishing all the poorlies well now
katholicos, chicken feet aching, back aching, head aching I don't think I'd qualify for party animal but it was a super, memorable evening :)
ampersand some interesting links there, thank you. Get well now please
BoP pleased to hear you didn't get run off the road by 4x4's and mini's, what a contrast of cars. Shall be braving that dreadful maze tomorrow, but only on the periphery
    Skint everything x'd for tomorrow
VJsmum Languedoc is a beautiful area, we visited many times, then bought our gite in Lot et Garonne. Although I've not been for some time I'm sure you'll love that whole part of the country
Hi nuttybabe good to see you again :D
    Hi Alchemilla,welcome
mms your #1 sounds like lovely comfort food. Always best to eat whatever you fancy when you're feeling poorly. Get well now please

    I. Forewarned of a snowy night when the furpets came in after their last foray into the garden covered in white flakes. Took a hwb to bed with a hot cup of EG tea for a nightcap
    2. Woke to snow-covered ground so phoned DGS and suggested he doesn't drive today. Arranged for him to come for lunch on Thursday instead
    3. Made plans to meet a friend in Bedford for an early dinner tomorrow before giving a talk at an evening meeting. Luckily the snow has cleared so the roads should be quite safe
    4. Rearranged some ornaments & plants, they look better in their new sites
    5. Just watched Penguin: Spy in the Huddle. Such amazing, brave little birds, we smile at their antics but they must be so hardy for so many to survive

    Sweet dreams :)

  • thanks everyone for the good luck messages

Interview was informal 30 mins and then they are going to choose 4-5 to formally interview for an hour and a half. Was fairly well prepared when they asked me what I know about their organisation and had a few examples of customer service to give them. Think it went ok. However I did state on the application form that I was currently working part time and not intending to leave, and they did concentrate on this saying they wanted someone who could cover sick and annual leave of other staff :( so it looks like I will not be able to offer the flexibility they want

Oh well, will wait to hear from them.

    pleasures for today

    1. Lie in
    2. day off work
    3. nice drive up to vets on country road it was indeed .... "over the hill".... but not too far away .... VJsmum :D
    4. not much traffic on way back just missed the school run
    5. interview went ok. Although I felt like I couldnt remember anything when I arrived and had convinced myself I didnt want the job. :o Fingers crossed

    4. Terrier and hens waiting for me when I got in.

  • Road kill. Two buns at w8flowers for 20p. Had to get cheese and would never buy French. So had to get the slices of dairy me.

PM To idiot who showed off and ran into the Beard's truck. My boys are in with his worships this week to get judgement. If your ignorance besides you, it would had been fifty fifty. As you cannot be bothered to answer letters. Then what can I say. Lesson number 653 in life, it may had been trivial and funny to show off as you did. It is not funny when you get a CCJ against you.

No pleasures today as not with Lady Whack

Feeling grumpy, bit miserable and impatient today, so may struggle to get 5 or even more than 1!!! Grrrr........I hate this waiting to find out if I've got a place on my teacher training course :( Turns out that 2 of the 3 courses at my first choice uni are now full, so I'm now definitely against however many others for the 7-12 places on my specialism that I interviewed for with no chance of being offered a 'without specialism' place. Gulp. Keep on feeling like I'm obviously rubbish and panicking about what the heck I'm going to do with my life if I don't get in - as whilst I love my new job, I can't afford to stay in it for too long due to the 'fabulous' salary. Aaargh! I don't like being a grown up sometimes :(

Anyway, enough whinging from me......thinking cap on, let me think of the good things.....

    1. We've come up with a brilliant plan for thevillage fete procession for Rainbows :) yeehaa is all I'll say for now :)

    2. Had my annual pancake (singular) at Rainbows, as DD doesn't like them so I never bother making them (as I know I'd eat them ALL, nomnom)

    3. Yummy leftovers for dinner, nice and easy tea :)

    4. Great day at work, got loads done and felt busy and useful.

    5. Was told that I'll be getting a very small salary allowance when I pass my first aid course, woohoo!

    6. Oh ok, so I can get to 5 pleasures. That's a pleasure in itself!

Ooooh hugs kitty. Only the BoP is aloud to be grumpy and miserable. Now, yous get some chocolate rammed inside yos and be happy. Besides, you did not want too go to them paces anyway.

Now, I am going up for another pint of kitty (coninciden!!) Everards Tiger to others.

Oh, and I am &'d on a Max Wasting book. Good as well. Details when's has censored it for yous gals.

I guess I just have to believe that no news is good news, I've only interviewed at the one place due to the way the system works (first place gets first dibs and holds on to paperwork until they decide what they're doing) and so they'd be fools if they don't take the marvellous Kittikins on......... :)
