    Evening all...

Hope that you are all fit and flourishing.

    1) Got up at 5.40am to make sure that I was in London at 8am for work... not much of a pleasure... except that I was asleep before 9pm so I still had a full night's sleep :)

    2) Attending a development day for high achievers at work. Nice to be recognised. I felt that the day went really well and I am pleased with my performance. We did a Myers-Briggs test, then numeracy and literacy tests, then an interview and a presentation.

    3) They had ginger nut biscuits for morning break.... my favourites!!

    4) Going out for a drink with some of the participants from today - really good as we never do anything like that. I stayed in the pub with one of my colleagues and her sister and it was just so lovely to chat! We are having the same issues at work so it is great to have someone who understands my frustrations.

    5) Toupe eating all his breakfast this morning. He must be feeling better.

Night night - sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Acey - hope your Grandma is soon better and well done your DS on his Blue Peter badge - wow.
Mummysaver - Your DD is V:brave.
Nuttybabe - well done on the bookmark
    Here we go.
    1. Had hospital appointment with my health trainer about my long standing back problem - I'm scheduled to see a health trainer at local health centre in 2 weeks with a view to starting a fitness plan probably pilates and swimming. Hopefully this will help as my back is very sore. Feel more positive about it though.
    2. DS Had another good day at school - hooray :)
    3. Ordered Thrifty ways for modern days - using my birthday money !!!
    4. Took an old charm bracelet to bits and now have a stash of pretty beads for my new jewellery making habit.
5.Been reading MSE this evening instead of watching TV and realised the simple life is a happy one :)
    6. We've had a couple of inches of snow and DS made me laugh saying well Mummy we're having a pj day tomorrow as we're snowed in, it's you and me - bless :)
nighty night, sleep well and have a good day tomorrow .

    Evening all,

Ooh its late, better make this quick.

    1. Waking up this morning before the alarm went off, always a nice feeling.
    2. A cream cake courtesy of my loved one.
    3. A home made (ish) curry tonight - bought some bits from Asda. Even the dog liked the smell of the vegetable samosas!
    4. A nice bath.
    5. Books from the library. Really encourages you to read them rather than just buy them and store them!

Hope everyone is ok. Heard a horrible joke about Liverpool FC - that they are playing like rugby players kicking balls over the bar.... Shall we ignore that one Ollie?!

Hope Reverbe is ok and still getting her bargains. Is Ampersand ok? How's our Bella? Sparrer? Gosh I know I've missed people out. Hugs to everyone and night night.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Ladyhawk I'm so pleased to hear Toupe is getting back to her normal self
Ollie I so agree with you about doing things for the tenants that aren't exactly by the book, but if we didn't who would? My last scheme was 38 flats and a small sitting room (aka the quiet room), catering kitchen and huge lounge, plus a community much like yours about a mile away with 28 bungalows and 22 flats.Luckily I had a p/t mobile warden to share duties so we were able to have some activity virtually every day. Love your 'outlaws', when my DD was living with now DSinL, before they were married, I used to call him my sin-in-law :D
Mummysaver my twins were from a feral mum, the brother is still a bit of a bully 3 years on, his sister a proper little lady who is so dainty about everything, how she eats, washes etc...but will give her brother a darned good swipe if she thinks he's getting out of hand!
mirrorimage0 welcome, this is a lovely place to be :A
mineallmine :hello: I'm good tyvm, laughing at the Liverpool thing and smiling with Spurs :j

    My 5 -

    1. Shopping with DD, I love her company and to swap ideas with her. We went to Homeb@se where she had to get some prices for her DH's latest project, the first thing I saw as we walked in we the perfect dining suite, just what I've been looking for for ages. The outcome is that the shed fund is now sorely depleted  and the suite will be delivered on Sunday. We you don't live in the shed, do you?

    2. DD treated us to a ginormous lunch in Mr S which neither of us could finish, but what we had was delicious - made more so by the fact that they were 2 meals for £6 :D

    3. Cat food was on offer so I got 24 tins for the price of 12 :T

    4. Our turn for the beautiful moon this evening, misty and very atmospheric

    5. After such a big lunch I just had a piece of Brie and a couple of water biscuits for tea, so a very OS day food-spend wise

Night night ((((hugs to everyone)))) sweet dreams

Good morning :hello: everybody - dry so far today :).

CCP - oooo Liverpool have been 'breaking the hearts' of the supporters recently and we've come in for a lot of stick from the Evertonians (got 2 in my family ;)) - just now and again they can still pull off the old magic - but more 'again than now'! Hope you enjoy your Coventry conference and good luck to your sister on her job.
mummysaver - awwww what a little trouper your dd3 is :A - you can be proud of her. wd to your dd2 with her cookery lessons - especially as she knew she wouldn't enjoy the end result :T.
ACEY - Good Luck with your counselling assessments and wtg to your dd's on their Blue Peter Badges :T. Sorry to hear about your Grandma - looks like that last fall really unnerved her - very difficult to know how to re-motivate her when things are like that - she must really be missing her 'home-life'.
zarazara - how lovely to have snowdrops in your garden - such beautiful flowers - always look too delicate to be around at this time of year.
Kittikins - sorry to hear about your 'bed mishaps' - lucky about that sofabed though .
nuttybabe - wtg on your baking session and wd on your amigurumi bookmarks :T.
bella - well done on your soup making - what a bargain! Hope your friend continues to improve :).
GirlySquare - good on your dp helping your dd with her homework :T.
Tealady - wd on getting ahead with your SC beef casserole :j - and great recycling of your boss's lunch ;).

I'm going to have to leave off for a short while - need to get ready for work, but be back shortly to complete :)

Hope everybody is having a good OS/MSE morning so far - love Ollie xxx

    1. Yummy and cheap Indian meal in the market, with a friend.

    2. Looking round the art gallery afterwards.

    3. My new foster cats, Penny and Gizmo, arriving! They are lovely and are settling in well.

    Hi all

Acey, best wishes for your granny's health.

Goodness, is that the time? Got to hurry and take DD's wash out of machine and start preparing dinner!

Here are mine for yesterday and today:

    Yesterday:

1 - Volunteering day, easy travel there even on the evil Northern Line!

2 - Lunch at the cheap veg Indian in Chapel Market, will be refunded by charity I volunteer for, so even cheaper for me!

3 - Used a £5 off £15 spend at the local Waitrose and got shopping done much cheaper than expected.

4 - Before going home I met with my birth lady and we had a good antenatal chat and she is well, and well prepared for birth (and also a lot of regular, non-birth-related chit chat in Italian, which is great for me because I never speak Italian with anyone these days).

5 - As I was getting ready to go home DH rang me on the mobile and said that he and DS wanted Indian Takeaway. Ah well, who am I to argue, after all I read somewhere that curry is good for you and full of anti-cancer properties, so I said YEAH!

6 - Back home, sat on sofa with takeaway in hand and watched Legally Blonde on the telly. Great evening after a long day!

    Today:

1 - Relaxed start of the day, bit of work done before going out

2 - Changed my hair colour, now I am dark brown - save for the wrinkly, fat face I look almost like I did 20 years ago! (Interested to see if DH notices, after all it took him 1/2 hour to notice when I turned my fringe pink! Watch this space LOL)

3 - Managed to get a lot of work done this afternoon

4 - Got my Housewife49 DVD and issued my invite to another dear friend (also an OSer here) to come and watch with me, with her DH and mine too, will be a nice evening I hope

5 - Said OS friend offered me free cinema tickets that she has and does not need (THANK YOU!)

6 - Said OS friend also invited me to go to an event with her for which she has got freet ickets (THANK YOU AGAIN!).

Off I go now, have a great evening all. xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

What a grey day but I managed to cheer it up with some pleasures:-

    1. A trip to town with DH, we didn't get what we had gone for but hey we had and outing and I did get some more pom-pom yarn for some more pressies.

    2. Treated ourselves to coffee and scone in M$S from this month's 'Happy Money'.

    3. One of the coffee's was free as I had a fully stamped loyalty card.:T

    4. Avidly searched for signs of spring and found a clump of snowdrops in a front garden which are just about to open:T

    5. Made some cards in bright colours with daffodils and tulips to cheer up the afternoon. "Can spring be far behind".

    Bella.
