Have just lit a candle, Broomstick, though I was a little late. It is in a divali diva that smaller son made at school.

Revolving Door - random fact but I've not long downloaded the sheet music for the Stardust theme and it is on my piano right now.

Here are my pleasures for New Years Eve.

    1) A bit of a lie in.

    2) My friends from sixth form college came round with their children. Sons got on pretty well with their 2 and it was nice to see them. They live in the south east now so I had not seen them since August. We swapped Christmas presents and they had chosen me a book about foraging!

    3) Tomato soup for lunch.

    4) Got prepared for NYE party. Tidied, smaller son hoovered, washed up, lit stove, put bhajis, samosas, naans (they will reappear later!) and rice on to cook.

    5) Brother arrived 7ish then sister and her boyfriend appeared bearing curries and poppadums.

    6) Meal went well (also joined by my school friend). After about half an hour the smell of burning increased and the aforementioned naan breads were taken from the oven and thrown out of the window!

    7) Watched the 1970's sporting thing that I've suddenly forgotten the name of that had been revamped with Olympics GB team.

    8) Played Mousetrap, cards then Pass the Pigs and later all had a go on the Wii.

    9) All saw in the New Year and friends have just gone and I think sons are asleep....

    Happy New Year!

    1. A really gorgeous sunny day here.

    2. I have apple crumble and custard for pudding later.:) I like the word pudding better than dessert.:D

    3. I am going to use an Asda money off voucher to buy a few essential household things online.

    4. I feel like listening to some music as my DH went out and I have the house to myself.

    5. I'm about to go and get my lovely fleecy jacket to wear while I am online. It's so cosy.:T

    Afternoon,

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Cuddles in bed off DD this morning, they don't happen very often now so have to make the most of them when they do.
    2. Popped into local town and parked at the office so no parking fees.
    3. Free drinks in Waitrose for OH and myself :money:
    4. Roast chicken dinner before we went out to friends for the evening
    5. Spending the evening with good friends playing games, listening to music and chatting. Just had one glass of champagne as really can't cope with hangovers these days (must be getting old)

Happy New Year to you all and hope it is prosperous and peaceful
