Round shiny thing in the sky. :D We saw it, we really did. :D The nice weatherpeople are saying we might see it again for a short while round lunchtime on Boxing Day. Until then it's rain and more rain, and if we are lucky, just cloud. I have left the curtains shut, turned the tree lights on and the heating up. I am in denial :D

Don't believe you! :D Have you got out from under your bed covers? Are you sure you are not wearing thermal things? Is your house full of lots of children and warm-blooded animals running around and artificially raising the temperature through body heat?

  • CCP - yep warm here too - just popped out to post card to neighbour without coat just umbrella .

Sparrer - re hair dye- I save one of the old bottles , wash it out then when I open new one I unscrew the lid rather than breaking top , decant half and mix with half of peroxide in old bottle iyswim? Lids then intact on the half left. Otherwise my hair would be too dry like straw if I used the whole lot.

VJsmum - 2 boxes  Greedy Hair :D Mine is just like Louise Minchin's (BBC Breakfast )

Oooh DM's rescue dog is en route from Middlesex as I type, can't wait- If they don't "get on" I will have her here.Animals like me more than people :rotfl:

Chicken thanks for the OS tip. How exciting about the dog, so pleased for him and your DM. Or maybe you, but I've a feeling they'll hit it off :)
Broomstick/Skint was beautiful here yesterday, driving with sunglasses on. Today is foul, wet, dark, misty. Just been to the post office and encountered more puddles on the roads than I've ever seen before :(. Tree/window/banister lights on here too, whatever it takes to cheer the place up
BoP In total agreement re shock tactics. Hope you took your slicker, sou'wester and galoshes with you
ampersand if you find it, please report back with location!

    Evening all,

Thanks for your kind words ampersand :)

    1. Crumpets and butter. Teacakes and butter. Butter and butter :)
    2. Not panicking about xmas. Still have few bits for hub to get but not panicking.
    3. Had a nice walk in wellies in the rain. Sank in the grass/ mud a few times....
    4. Haven't done much today apart from a walk and a bit of washing. Doesn't always have to be a mad rush does it.
    5. Had a chat with a good friend who opened her presents early from me. She was very pleased. Two of the hardback books came from a local charity shop. So win win.

    :A
