    Morning all :)

VJsmum no not a burfdee, I could/should have got it over 5 years ago! Just clearing out old paperwork and found the application, I'd just had pics done for my blue badge renewal so thought I'd use a couple on the bus pass. Re your enjoying the trips and conversations, I've since been thinking about where it could take me. Could get quite excited about it - I just need to find a local bus stop where I can park, the nearest is too far to walk to now. Problems, problems...
DD You did make me laugh with your cats tale :D
Kittikins well done on the mung bean spaggety boggety (as we as a family used to call it), it sounds a really nice variation so I'll give it try one day this week

Just 1 for now. It's not raining :j In fact the sun is out. Shhhhh

    Have a super Sunday :)

We get free train travel because of OH's job and we use it alot. Some former colleagues have their bus pass and are often off and out with it - one lived on the Birmingham cross city train line which he can use his "bus" pass for so often goes to all sorts of places just for dinner as it is free and easy. When dad was in hospital earlier this year I used the bus a lot to get from train station to hospital. My favourite conversation ever was with one lady, another called Doreen and Doreen's carer. I found out what tablets they were all on ("I take one of a night, it begins with fluh - ooh what is it? Fluh something"), that Doreen had had a hysterectomy and was now suffering "with the depression" - poor Doreen (who never said a word) no wonder she had the depression with all her medical history being yelled around the bus. Especially as he was at the back and Doreen and the other lady (who I think was a stranger to them) at the front. I think one could write a book if one spent long enough travelling

Anyway my first pleasure of the day is that I went back to sleep for 3 and a half hours and feel vaguely human again - well as close as I ever get...:D
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • 1. I got a glass jar, olive oil and a packet of rock salt from the kitchen to make a face scrub to try and improve my dry skin.

    2. It seemed like I have no food in the fridge as I have run out of both bread and marge:eek: but I managed to make a breakfast out of some homemade vegetable pate and cream crackers. :p I also realised I had enough veggies (and one lonely potato) to make myself a roast dinner as my husband is working today. Add some veg sausages from the freezer and some onion gravy and it will be lovely.

    3. Nice, sunny day which make a change from the rain.

    4. Low spend day as all I need is one pack of cat litter and one tin of dog food.

    5. I'm going to make soda bread tonight to have with some soup with the leftover veg from my Sunday lunch.

    Did it rain yesterday?

Still drying out at the moment.

5 Sunday mornings are a side affect of Saturday Night. Both should be tried afore testing.

4 Chicken Tikka pieces and curry for tea. Still rounding up the chiken wings from the cat after last nites supper.

3 Had to laugh at the idiot driver in Eastington this morning who blocked the road and those who cannot ford their cars. Wriote to the DVLA and give your licence back, you cannot use it. As for the council round here, Fire the ditches. They used to when I lived a nannies. Every October, no failo. No flodd. here, filled with burger wrappers and chuck fast eat not now gut fattening foods. Get those on tehse drive in things to clear the ditechs as well.

2 Apart from that, it is nearly sunny here.

1 Do not add to the list.
  • Good evening all !

VJsmum - You have my sympathy - those Tamworth's snore like b*ggery don't they??. Mine sleeps on 5 feather pillows - (Very Princess and the Pea ) or 6 when I am asleep as I cannot sleep with a pillow and he has this one too ! I am tempted to put something in his mouth when its starts .. a feminine hygiene product might just choke him though ;)

    5 for today

    1. Doing the "hokey cokey" with the washing - the gusts have ceased and it has been sunny here with a few showers.

    2. Read two more books on the Kindle ,having finished off the Clare Balding one. One was about "minimalist living" and apparently my life will be perfect if I declutter my walk-in wardrobe . Not convinced really, it will just mean I have more space in my walk- in wardrobe ! - I will take this with a pinch of revolvingdoors salt ,I think.;)

    3. No fence panels went awol in the high winds.

    4. Not ventured out of the house all weekend because I don't have to :D- except out in the garden to sort out hens, washing.

5.Roast dinner for tea being prepared for me as I type, lovely smells coming from the kitchen :D

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    1. Had a rubbish night's sleep but at least I was warm snuggled up to DD and on my flanelette sheet, ooooh so snuggly :) Looking for duvet covers for us now, we like our beds to be cosy.

    2. DD solemnly informed me when she woke up that she "had slept like a proverbial log" :)

    3. Church was great, saw lots of chums and didn't pig out on cake and biccies ;)

    4. Low spend day, just 'had' to buy a big bottle of grown up drink (as DD calls it) for when my friend comes to stay next weekend.....and other necessary bits for the grand tidy up!

    5. Friend and 2 of her lovely children came over, cooked us amazing lunch (leftovers in the fridge, nomnom), then we attacked my kitchen and bathroom - and the girls did DD's room so that we could put some of the kitchen stuff in there. My house is now ready for the plasterers on Tuesday, thanks chums!! :)

Monday morning here, I have 4 pages of pleasures to read but will post now and read later as I have work to go to !

1.phone calls with friends and family won't be long until I see them for real...less than 4 weeks now....only 20 work days to go!

    2. Saturday lunch, too late for the scones, OH was sleeping and I just let him lie on.....DD1 and I had a traipse round the charity shops.....our haul included the sound of music video for 50c( about 30p) , got a couple of long sleeved tops for coming ome to the cold!

    3. New boy toy was purchased....a coffee maker with pods.....not for me, I don't like coffee and at 33o on Saturday was just a bit too warm for a hot chocolate!

4.Washing felt like it was just out the tumble drier when I brought it in off the line.....but it was just all cosy from the sun.

    5. Went on a bit of a road trip yesterday courtesy of satnav.....it took us a slight 60 km detour up a single track road ( I use the term loosely! ) up a hill.....then back down the other side ! We went to the southern most point of the state of Victoria. Went to a beach called squeaky beach as the sand actually squeaks! It was quite a bit cooler but pleasant enough.....read my book on the sand.....I do dislike sand it goes everywhere, had our picnic with us.

We saw some beautiful birds and quite a bit of marsupial road kill .

    6. Went to library on Saturday for its blessed air con and had hoped to watch casualty but it wasn't on so watched an episode of Holby instead.....only. 2 years worth to catch up on!

Okay had better go and get ready for work...enjoy your evening and I'll catch up with reading your pleasures later.
