My pleasures for today so far (Saturday).

    1) Had a lie in!

    2) Finished reading all the exclusions paperwork for smaller son's appeal. Took til 3am. The statementing stuff was in there too and is pretty solid.

    3) Boys happy this morning.

    4) They went to mum and dad's for lunch and are now on their way home from a pantomime!

    5) I went to Ludlow with my sister but we couldn't park (anywhere!) so we ended up going elsewhere for a cup of tea.

    6) Played a board game with sister's boyfriend and sister baked cookies.

    7) In out of the rain now! Casualty on later.
  • Just back from rain soaked sport! Two pleasures

1 Rugby, Sat joint top! If it is jopint top and we play the leaders at their place on 8th December. (So to DD especially, tow teams TOP!)

2 LKady Black did the FA Trophy and another win there!

I see the quarts flowing with some ease this wet soaked eve.

RD/BoP it's part of my bucket list, in the 'ongoing' section.
CCP it's permissible, you were at work and had to have lunch - not surprised it was the only place with seats though ;)

    1. Lazy day, stayed in so nsd/npd
    2. Postie brought me a new throw for the dogs sofa - he gets the three seater, I get the two :D
    3. Postie also brought me a bus pass. Don't know if I'll ever use it but it's a good standby
    4. Baked a tray of dog biscuits, works out much cheaper than buying and I know what's in them
    5. Spent the afternoon curled up on the (two-seater) sofa watching trashy B-rate C-word films

have a good evening, stay afloat :)

    4. Fun at school event this afternoon

    5. A friend and her children are coming over with lunch for us (!!) tomorrow, yum yum

    6. DD loved the mung bean spag bol, I didn't tell her what it was ;)
  • Good evening all !

Kittikins - what a clever Kitten you are

VJsmum - nah ,I would not rub it in - thought I would send you "witchy" sleeping vibes :D Hope you got some .. sleep that is ;)

CCP and DD- I prefer the Scissors Sisters version of CN :p

    4 for today

    1. Rain rain rain- but hen house run staying nice and dry despite Stephen Seagull having pecked numerous holes in the tarpaulin . Scraggy chooks very keen on being in the warm, dry kitchen today , can't think why !

    2. Reading the Clare Balding book on the Kindle. Loving it -much in common timing wise re our riding careers and horsey people around at that time. Managed to get it put on Mum's Kindle too.
A bliddy good read , can't put it down !

    3. Cauliflower cheese for tea tonight .

    4. Downloaded some more books on the Kindle , some free and some with my birthday gift voucher from way back in May .Nice to look forward to on rainy days like this.

Have a good evening all !

3.21 - :( but i did go to bed at 8.30, just couldn't stay awake any longer. Have removed myself to spare room to escape OH's snoring (that Tamworth Pig, chicken ;)).
I prefer Scissor sisters "comfortably numb" too!
PK - well done on your haul
Sparrer - are there burfdee celebrations to be had? I love the bus - all of life is there. There are several occasions I have gone past stops as I have been too busy listening in on people's conversations :o:rotfl:
Hello, Revolving Door, don't think I've said it yet.

    For yesterday

    1. Managed to sleep till 5.30 which was good going and I was getting up at 6.15 anyway
    2. Had a lovely walk in Cardingmill Valley (Frith - you may know it? Down your way I think) weather was shocking but I don't mind walking in the rain. Met up with friends there and caught up with their news
    3. Walked 10 miles so had earned our pub lunch - definitely a pie day so I had homemade steak and ale with chips washed down with a pint of bitter (in 2 halves so as to be more ladylike!)
    4. DS came with us as friends had their DS of a similar age and the two boys get on well. As we went on the train, we had lots of conversation with him. It is nice to be reminded that he is a nice, thoughtful, intelligent boy who makes good conversation when away from the x - box. On the way home some slightly older lads got into our compartment, effing and jeffing all over the place. DS was horrified at how they made themselves look - i.e. completely thick and chavvy.
    5. Home in the warm and dry - and a bacon sandwich. May as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb. Diet can start again on Monday.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

3rd post since yesterday has disappeared, despite showing 'posted'.
    It's just tiresome.
I'll try again ce soir, still buoyed by 33-10[but those 2 tries should NOT have happened].
I've watched Piri Weepu leading the long version Haka[a compliment to Wales]4 times now...love that deep intensity etched in every AB face, all fierce and coiled spring.
The wobbling Adam's apple of Warburton was something too.
Have a lovely Sunday all, wild, wet, windy again here.

  • Morning all, a couple of pleasures already this morning.....

    1. Feeling well this morning

    2. After lots of banging, rattling and howling in the night the wind has settled down and its lovely and quiet at the moment, but still very blowy out there

    3. The rain has gone and the sun is shining.... excellent weather for drying the washing so hoping to get caught up with bedding and towels today....

    4. Looking forward to roast gammon later, with roast potatoes and cauliflower/brocolli cheese

Have a lovely sunday everyone x
