Finally sorting putah out, again, maybe...will post properly later, but DD - need you to grab end of mower, while I sort the extension lead please.
Think it's best if you take mower out front and start there, while I try and haul ex-NZ boxes out of trailer.
Don't fuss over it; just mow up and down, up and down - quite mesmeric and soothing I tend to find. Thoughts drift off to all sorts of peculiar places, Then do T's nextdoor as I always do. He's needing a lot of morphine now for extreme pain and this will doubtless continue through winter.
By the time you finish that DD, I should be ready to mow the back.
That's the putting-to-bed mow for this year done.
You can just tell me whatever you want to tell, or not. You might sort out those low elderberry branches while we both work. I've been meaning to do it for a bit...
OK?
Then kettle on, or un petit verre....

Very warm hugs to those who need one! Frith well done on the bus pass .
Well forgive me but most of my pleasures are wildlife related:
1. Driving to work....usual schmusual parrots, beautiful trees ,sun shining.....then boing, boing a kangaroo! Made me very happy.
2. Went for an earlier than usual break and sat in the sunshine at the duck pond ....no duckies but a cockatoo in the little waterfall .
3. Then I had eaten as much of a mushy pear as I could and sat it on the grass when along came a mummy magpie and a fairly big baby magpie, they were 2 feet away from me.....mummy was feeding the very noisy baby with my pear.
4. Nice drive home....more parrots and lorikeets. Driving in drive and noticed the driveway covered in bird poo as my car had been this morning ( makes a change from possum poo!) looked up and there in my big tree was a family of 3 Tawny Frogmouths , they are not the prettiest of birds but I was amazed to see them there. Took lots of photos.
5. DD1 is a dirty midden ( Scottish for very untidy ) and her room is atrocious ....so as an early birthday (tomorrow ) DS, DD2 and I gutted her room , moved furniture , hoovered and chucked bags of rubbish out all whilst she was at her work! After an initial moan which I was expecting she is much happier and has more room.
6. Very tasty tea of RTC sausages ( with DD staff discount) salad and roasted left over potatoes. It is nice to be eating salads again after hearty winter food!
7.' made' a gingerbread house birthday cake for DD2..... Made from an Ald; kit, all I had to do was ice it all together.
Have a lovely day....bedtime here! night x0 -
Ampersand was just thinking of you today and here you are!0
-
Evening all!!!
DD - hugs. Might be time for "if you love someone set them free..." or as I would - tell them to F off. Stand back and see what happens. Positive thoughts winging thousands of miles your way - catch!
Sparrer - well done, Doglet.
Blackbeard - Why are Pirates called Pirates? Cos they "argggh"
For yesterday
1. Teaching finished and successful - at the end I said "it was my honour and my pleasure to teach you" and I meant it.
2. Went for lunch with some students and the head of education of Korean Engineers. Regrettably he didn't speak english and my Korean is rusty (:rotfl: can't even say "yes, no, please or thank you") food was lush and he paid
3. Had a good night's sleep thanks to sleeping aid tablet and managed to wake up in good time
4. Dinner with students - not sure I am keen on that much seaweed. Bloomin healthy though
5. Sherlock dvd when I got back to hotel. A bit of Cumberbatch eye candy - mmmmmmmmmm
And today
1. Another tablet and another full night's sleep. I will lay off tonight as i fly back tomorrow so won't matter too much if I am awake
2. The weather - it is autumn but feels like spring. THe light and the warmth of the daytime sun (albeit with my coat on) definitely spring - ish.
3. Changdeokgung Palace and secret garden (made me laugh - there were a zillion signs to the "secret" garden). Autumn trees in shades of scarlet and yellow against a brilliant blue sky with the highly painted Palace buildings and pagodas. Surrounded by mountains. A haven in the middle of an extremely busy city. (sorry - came over all "ampersand" (I wish;)))
4. Overcame my aversion to eating on the street for a wonderful fried "thing" streetfood. I know why I don't do it though as i spilt some filling on my coat
and my scarf
and my bag:o:o
5. Also overcame my aversion to going to a restaurant alone and went for an italian meal in a californian kitchen in Seoul. Yummy
So that's it. Job done. No more work trips planned - though I have been asked if I'm interested in coming back next year. You bet - but I am not betting on it. Looking forward to home, though. I've missed my babies and OH.
Now I'm going for a swim, cos I can.
Night all - have a nice day.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Is tilams going to come back ?
Poor [STRIKE]TILAMS[/STRIKE] quaffed in a quart of RUM! Have no fear me harty, ruff the rug may be, but with decent combing, as soft as a badger running through a hegde.Broomstick wrote: »Blackbeard, have you come across 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day'? It's in September.
5 Looks like it has become Manchester weather in these parts. Rain!
4 Thoughts of &, when TMS stops on the LW and their programmes come in good. Just wish I could hear more of them.
3 Good to see the SPARRA made it back to the loft again.Hope she is not too ... about missing out on auld legless moggies. Had Buzzard on Sunday, and leave the bits for cat, otherwise he would be in the bag anyway, he brings in a stone. Needs the eight tails that cat does, mes harty's.
2 Fruit salad day again, fresh pienapples and peaches. May put a dollop of stove held custard ion as well, nicely skinned!
1 If you canna love your neighbour, than why should they!
Hugs and all things :heartpuls0 -
DD - Hugs, you have to do what is right for you0

1. Taking my dogs out for a walk on a breezy Autumnal day.
2. Low spend day, I have a craving for some chocolate cornflake cakes and I might be tempted into buying some from the shop. I do have some bourbons downstairs so I might have them instead.:money:
3. I fancy a roast dinner tonight, I have everything I need but the spuds.:pTuesdays used to be Pizza Hut delivery night before deciding to be a MFW.:p
4. I'm going to call my friend for a chat later, it's free as it's a local number.
5. Just got a Lidl pamphlet through the letter box so I'm going to compare prices on some basics. Doesn't sound pleasurable I know but I'm sad.:rotfl:0
