DD - my ex left after 23 years of what I thought was a happy marriage, he went on line and found a peroxide blonde floozie from across the pond. Dopey here was usually a bit too often in her cups to know what was going on. I chucked him out - the most painful thing I've ever done, that's when my addiction escalated out of all control. I'm NOT suggesting you do similar! Fortunately I got help from not-the-Automobile-Association after 4 very painful years for my family, now almost 8 years since my last wobbleaid which have been the best of my life. Made my peace with the ex, in fact I'm going down to the west country in a fortnight to visit him and sort out wills/finance etc (didn't divorce him as he was in the wrong and I refused to spend a single penny on him, and it gives me a hold over his pension. Hell hath no fury, etc., etc :p)

All the above is really just to let you know that although no-one can feel as you do, there are many of us who do empathise, and who want to let you know that in time it does get better. Honest :)

I think mhags quote sums it up beautifully - "what's for ye will no' go by ye" - I hope whatever's for ye comes by ye soon, so you can put this difficult time behind you and move forward. God bless x

    Evening

Mhagster - I did laugh at the bowl of dishes outside DS's room, may have to try that one.
VJsmum - ooh Marti Pellow, very jealous

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Quiet half hour to myself this morning with a cup of tea reading my book.
    2. Invested in a new coffee machine from Mr.T using the voucher double up offer. Ours was not playing nicely so came at a good time. Whilst I know the coffee for the machine is expensive it stops OH from going into a coffee shop for a coffee every morning as he takes one from home. Machine also included a £20 voucher for coffee so has been well spent on the website and made use of the free delivery as well.
    3. More of the latest blanket done about a 1/4 of the knots left to do. May get it finished later tonight.
    4. Looking forward to a free firework display later. The local school put the display on but the path at the end of our garden backs onto the field where the display is so we get to watch for free. It makes up for all the inconvience of parents from the school blocking our drive every day and when there is an event on. Will be taking hot drinks out with us to help keep warm plus we won't have to stand in the muddy wet field as will be on the tarmac path.
    5. Sausage and pasta soup made for when we get back

Hugs to all who need them

Hope you're OK, Kittikins. I could never work out whether I just _felt_ exOH wasn't interested in me or whether he really wasn't. When he used to go home (in the last couple of months) I was almost pacing the floor getting stressed about it.

5 or so for today (Sunday) so far.

    1) Lie in.

    2) Went swimming with my brother. Had only been once in the last year and it nearly killed me! Only swam 500 metres and it was such an effort I felt quite giddy half way through. Must go more often.

    3) Nice to wash my hair under the shower after swimming (we just have a bath and a big jug at home).

    4) Went for lunch at mum and dad's.

    5) Spent the afternoon all playing board games; brother, sister and sister's boyfriend there too.

    6) My school friend is on her way over for tea.

    7) Boys back at 6.30 - hoorah!!

    8) House immaculate. :-) Bigger son's uniform laid out ready, PE kit ready, shoes polished, washing up to date... have made the best possible use of boy-free time as I have smaller son at home for yet another week before his stay at the short stay school begins........

    Boom Boom!

Thank you VJsmum, but if you think about it the ex had good cause to look elsewhere!
Tealady the previous blanket looked beautiful, is there a 'recipe'?

    1. Went shopping with list in hand, and spend exactly what I planned, to the penny  - not done that for a while
    2. Got a packet of berry cereal, a packet of rf biscuits and a pack of rf crisps all free with vouchers thanks to the freebie board. Not keen on s&v crisps so they'll go to DGD tomorrow
    3. Gave my donation to the RBL, I don't take a poppy as I have one on my car permanently (when they stop sending our forces to be killed in other people's wars I'll think about removing it - or maybe not) and the lovely man gave me a little metal poppy pin.
    4. Amazing lunchtime meeting, it was someone's birthday so there were lots of goodies to eat, like cream cakes . Have volunteered to be a schools visitor for years 10/11 to answer questions after the main speaker, not sure if that's a mistake or not!
    5. Made a decision - a not-NY resolution if you will - to stop shopping. At least to patronise only local/private shops where possible and stay away from the temptations of supermarkets. I hardly ever leave a supermarket with only what I planned to go in for but local shops, being that little more expensive, don't have the same attraction. Hopefully it will benefit my purse and the small independent trader.

Stay warm and dry, am planning to build an ark if this keeps up. All welcome! S

    3. Lovely morning with OH before going to church

    4. Fab time at church, chatted to lots of friends

    5. Have done most of the tidying up I planned to do before DD got home!

    6. DD is home :)
  • Dundee Doll, big big hugs, thinking of you.

I’m using these pleasures to cover the past few days, it’s a rough time with a lot of time up at hospital.
1.I’m not so sure I would be sane without my lovely DH who is going out of his way to either be there or distract when needed.
2.We found a trade garden warehouse literally around the corner from us, we found them amazingly helpful, and are now the proud owner of a couple of ferns they are lovely.
3.Had tea out at a little cafe, as it was a lot cheaper than ordering in a takeaway.
    4.BLT Sunday breakfast.
    5. Roast pork / parsnips and potatoes, with other veg cooking away, a relaxing evening ahead.

Aye, evening all. Hugs to those who need them, and SPARRA, wobbleade in moderation for TILAMS.

Sorry, but on a smirking day. Not intended to pun any on here, but, it is a day for the old TILAMS saying, of BU GG ER ME!!!

5 Perfection in the oven, roast tatties, in rosemary and chive crud, perfect. Stuffing, perfect, buzzard perfection of supreme excellence. And the cat hoot fed ups of waiting for the titbits to be thrown, walked up and took off. Good for him.

4 Broken bits this morn. Not only did corporation buses not run, but golden boy has had a Mardy Maria. Shame really, but he did not gets his way last leadership meeting and has deemed we do not like him. Well, you wanted the pat, you got it over my dead body or so yous think. Not so easy now, but to think the question was, you worked in a bar, where you meet and can influence people, why did you eave. Perchance it was golden boy did not get his way? Never mind, life is like that. Always when wes has problems and do not gt our way, is it because you do nothing and expect those to do it for you! Take the ice berg test. 90% is under water, that us you. We only see the outer 10%. So the problem is ...

3 Late run tonight and the word is Heart. Nothing comes to mind yet, but we should has a decent chain later.

2 Are all these fireworks for me?

    1 T17

Oh, nd pictures in The Rugby Paper. Just check the citizen in the morrow.

    Evening all.

    1) NPD and almost an NSD, until pleasure #5 came along.

    2) Bacon sarnie for brunch.

    3) A fantastic grand prix, made all the better by the fact that, despite numerous crashing, spinning and flying F1 cars, no-one was hurt.

    4) Did some more work on my essay, although not nearly as much as I could or should have done, a fact I'll probably regret tomorrow evening. :o

    5) Ordered some super-cheap mog food thanks to a tip from this site - here, if anyone's interested - I don't know if the company will accept the order as it looks to be a mistake but, if they do, it's a great bargain.

Have a good evening, all, and hugs to PK, DD, and anyone else in need.
Back after a very long break!
