    1. A lovely day with my gorgeous DD :)

    2. Sunshine

    3. Great chats with people at church this morning, hopefully have another school to go to for observing/volunteering

    4. Picnic on the beach with DD and we both failed miserably in our attempts to skim stones, but had fun, fun, fun trying and shuffling further back up the beach as the tide came in!

    5. Great jam session on the geetars

    6. Dinner was a 'dinner party' with a very fancy tablecloth and candles.

    7. Lovely chat with OH on the phone, roll on Tuesday!
  • 1) DH and DS went to a free concert today. Unfortunately, the parking was £6 but it was a cheap day and they enjoyed it.
    2) Too frugal to take DD out to lunch so we had a picnic in the sunshine in the park, with napkins and everything, then went into town and paid for a coffee.
    3) Set myself a budget of £15 to get three tops for work in the local charity shops and found two for £12, so am nearly on target.
    4) Got some gardening done when it was cool this evening. Although it's slightly sad to be putting the veg patch to bed for the autumn, it's satisfying to see it cleared.
    5) Michael Mac1ntyre and guests on telly.

I think I want other people's pleasures. They all seem so cheerful - I guess that's why they are pleasures :p

Anyway here are mine - adopts an Eeyore tone - read em if you want but they don't include hoof oil!! :D

    1. Niece and nephew didn't wake up till after me. That's a first :T
    2. Nice chat with SIL and she didn't outstay her welcome
    3. Sitting in the sun watching DS play footie. We was robbed :( but the team played the best I'd ever seen them and if they hadn't had a goal disallowed we'd have drawn
    4. Yummy left over roast beef for tea
    5. Did the ironing watching Coldplay close the Olympics
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Had a good weekend. Here are my pleasures, hopefully in a sort of chronological order.

    Saturday

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) Brother came round and helped me fit my new sink (£15 from Ebay). I had made do with an old sink propped up and a tray instead of a draining board - for 12 years! This is much easier to use.

    3) Had a tidy up after sink finished.

    4) Went to OH's. :-)

    Today

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Cooked breakfast.

    3) Good to spend a day with OH.

    4) Popped to Ikea for some bits for sister (her boyfriend is moving in!).

    5) School friend came round and brought some duck pancakes and other Chinese foods as a treat for sons for both having a good first week at school.

    6) Bedtime and the Archers now.

  • PK- I only added cream as it was lurking in the fridge and OH likes full fat, full sugar everything.Milk is fine - I added some to the cream to stretch it . There cream and vanilla essence just makes it more sort of custardy xx He ate the lot so it must have been ok !

Rainy Days - Oooh 18.2 hh a big boy then .You must have stood on a crate then??
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
  • Chickenopolis - I sometimes have to use a step ladder for him, yesterday I was able to do it all without having to use it though, but I had to stand on tip toes at points! When I used to ride him a mounting block was not high enough so, again the step ladders had to be used.

Maybe one of those little trampolines would have been good as well :)
