1 Let me tell you a riddle, that is true. The beast had been slain, some days ago. The killer had been tamed. Little workers did such wonders to the cat
Tricks come and go. Magicians blind us with there conjuring. Still no one knew the riddle. Chocolate sponge after that treacle of yesterday.
have just finished a fundraising puzzle sheet so now to apply little grey cells to sonny's riddle. Hmmmmmm i think the sheet was easier!

    Morning all !

Router has been dropping out all weekend so unable to log on!

    some for the weekend

    1. Haircut

    2. £50 vouchers for Pizza courtesy of Mr. T

    3. Olympics

    4 Curry

    5. Olympics...

    6. Made chocolate courgette cake

    7. Forrest hen jumped on the back door (half door like a stable) and watched us through the little window honking like a goose because we were eating a curry and she heard the plates being scraped.

    8. OH caught a lobster and a crab.I don't eat either so my sister will have the crab and his boss the lobster.

    9. Best year for growing courgettes ever!

    10. T*ssers of a utility company in their wisdom have put up my direct debit by an extra £100 per month as this is what they predict I will use over the SUMMER months . Not a pleasure but knowing I can switch soon without incurring exit fee will be.Pleasure was the friendly service of my bank as I was questioning the "odd" direct debit on my statement.

    Have a good day all!

It's got me stumped! But....could the 'killer' be whatever was affecting the mog, and 'little workers' be anti-b's perhaps, to make the mog better? Probably on completely the wrong track but best I can come up with after pondering and reading back through TILAM's last few posts...

Was wondering where you were Chicken, almost asked last night but couldn't remember if you'd said you'd be away or whatever. Memory isn't what it used to be ;)

Decorator here at 8.30am so was up with the larks and other various song birds (well, 7am :o) to do my preening undisturbed. All ready for the day now, have a fantastical day :)

    Go Team GB!!

Hello, I did post last night but Internet decided to fizzle out....ggrrrr!

Some pleasures from last few days.

1.OH felt a tiny bit better over the weekend but has had a pants day today but at least we can start to look forward to more decent days for him.

    2. My colleague and girlfriend had a housewarming soir!e which we were invited to. Nice to have a nosy at their new house, we didn't stay for long but good to get out.

    3. Not spending too much on shopping this week, just needed fruit, milk and bread.

4.bought a bunch of daffodils, which are one of my favourite flowers. Still seems odd seeing them in August !

5.olympics, I think team GB are doing so,so well. Everything we see here has an oz slant on it and oh dear they are not doing quite so well on the gold medal front ?....only the one ! I was so proud of Andy Murray...well done to him :)

    6. Work sped by today....no moody staff, makes such a difference.

    Have a lovely day

    Morning

Caterina - Belated Happy Birthday, sounds like you had a lovely time.
Mhagster - Good to hear your OH is having some better days

    Pleasures for the weekend,
    1. Nice lie in on Saturday
    2. OH taking me out to dinner but then saying I could make something much nicer. So a challenge was set for me to cook a restaurant quality dinner for the 2 of us for £10. We had some lovely loin of lamb with HM gravy, roast potatoes and roasted veg, followed by summer fruit jelly and washed down with a bottle of red. Price £10.02, yes I know I overspent but the original challenge didn't include wine and it was yummy.
    3. Letter from the NSPCC thanking me for some fundraising I had done for them and asking if they could claim gift aid on the money. I thought I had already done this but was more than happy to let them claim the money. They do fantastic work in helping child witnesses in court cases and after care so really like to do my bit for them.
    4. Managed to use lots of vouchers in Mr.T so save money on shopping and extra points on card.
    5. Mo Farrah, how good was he. We were jumping up and down and shouting at the telly. Plus all the other wonderful team GB members

Hugs to all who need them
  • Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been very busy these last couple of weeks. Hugs to all that need them and a hello to everyone else.

    My 5 for today:

    1. Got lots of housework done this morning - my baby is now 6 months and combined with a 2 and a half year old since birth the house has slowly taken a nosedive!! Finally got the living room looking like a living room, just the hoovering to do when the LO wakes up.

    2. Feeling pleased I managed to move the TV from the mantle piece in the centre of the room to the TV unit in the corner of the room as OH does not want the TV moved and now I have done it he has no say :rotfl: Im sure he will admit it looks better where it is now though!

    3. Sold another thing on FB selling site.

    4. Dusting myself off after negative news re potential house build - going to 'fluff up the nest' here just in case we are here for the long haul.

    5. Decided we are having no more kids despite originally saying we would have 4! A pleasure because we can start getting rid of all the baby stuff and earning a little extra money for treats.

    6. Passed part one of interview for a care company I really want to work for. Part 2 is a 3 day induction in September.

    7. Also got offered 10 hours/week of accounts work!! Must seriously think about what amount of work I would like to do.

    8. Feeling happy our finances may be on the up for once!!

    Stacey x
2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
    Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(

Tis a riddle, that lasted for days. I have really got this one canned, but I let 14 of you be the Judges on that! Black or Golden, comes with sponge and lucious thick custard as well!

5 Good job for back up, lost all artworks for next season, deleted wrong folder on Sat Di. Just looked in back up and bingo lights, it was there! Phew

4 Good job as well, so now ready to invoice agin. Panic is over.

3 IWAB. Fluffing up the nest, is that gathering twigs or cleaning out?

2 Bikes are ready to roll tomorrow, bit down today.

1 The answer is clear to some users, but not to others. I see the Queens, the Workers and the Drones here today. The Cat is giving up something.

Jokingly, he said the Riddle and continued for days!
