    Afternoon all.

recoverydust - welcome to the thread!

    1) I'm feeling better today, which is good but also slightly disappointing - I confess I was hoping to be too unwell to go to work tomorrow so I could watch the final of the team showjumping. :o

    2) Gave the kitchen bin a wash as I'd noticed it was starting to smell, and used the leftover water on the garden.

    3) A HG French bean. I'd hoped to pick enough for dinner but it turned out there was only one ready to eat - so I ate it. ;)

    4) More medals. A great result for Andy Murray, but a slightly disappointing one for Louis Smith - that's got to be about as close as you can get to a gold without actually getting one. :(

    5) The raised bed has now been clear of cat mess for two full days - I think I've finally convinced Contortionist Cat that it's more trouble than it's worth to use it as a litter tray!

Have a lovely evening all - I must go back to switching between cycling, tennis, and anything / everything else that's on.

Feel rubbish again, don't know what's the matter with me just lately.

    Anyway, 5 for today.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Went to town so smaller son could spend his voucher.

    3) My sister phoned to apologise for bossing OH around last night and asked for his number so she could get in touch with him to say sorry. (!)

    4) Barry cat returned! He had been missing for 2 weeks. He has had 3 sachets of meat, some biscuits and some tinned pilchards left over from the pilchards on toast we had for lunch. And some milk! I picked him up and thought he had grown some awful lump during his time away but its just his temporarily vast stomach!

    5) Popped to brother's to use his washing machine and he was cooking homemade chips so we had a few.

    6) Thoroughly enjoyed the Olympics once again.

That's about it. Just feeling like the most unfanciable, boring girlfriend in the world. Would be nice to hear otherwise, once in a while. :-(

    1 - The tennis.... AMAZING!

2 - Some flirty banter with a guy I met recently.

3 - Being good and getting things done around the house.

4 - Rereading some letters from friends.

5 - The frozen yoghurt I'm about to eat.

Frith you sound like a really nice thoughtful person to me and certainly never boring. :grouphug:
Day did not go as planned. OH's biking buddy (S) phoned at 8. OH had an awful migraine, had been throwing up since 4 and needed picking up so...
    1) mum was able to come with me. We had quite a giggly chat on the way. Google sed 1:46 hours, S (who is a cautious rider) sed 3 hours. We were soooo tempted to stop for a :coffee: but duty got the better of us :A
    2) S had some anti-emitics which had taken effect when we got there
    3) S located very nice garage chap who has locked OH's bike in his shed (while he was sorting this out mum and i snuck off for :coffee:
    4) road soooo twisty OH felt ill again by the time we got to Pitlochry so we gallantly agreed to stop and stretch our legs and who would have known found ourselves in an airy pub with the murray match one set in:T
    5) left soon as he won and got home just in time for his doubles :j

    Good evening,

    Here are mine:

1 the amazing help and support of my family in tidying up and cleaning the house for the party

2 the support I got from the ladies on "my house is a mess" thread when I got despondent and demotivated this morning

3 feeling truly loved and valued by my family and friends

4 the party went really well

5 the food and gifts were lovely

6 two amazing musicians played terrific blues on the guitar and then we all had a singalong

7 the weather was good enough to sit in he garden for most of the party

8 for my age I am in decent shape and in good health, thanks God

9 the house is cleaner thn it has been in ages

    Good night all
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Welcome recoverydust

Oh dear CCP, you look really _pale_, definitely don't want to spread all those germs around work tomorrow!

DD hope your OH is feeling better, a decent watering hole and Murray can work wonders ;)

Caterina Happy Birthday To Youuuuu! Cyber- :bdaycake: is definitely low fat so you can have as much as you like and not spoil your lovely trim shape :D

    1. had a lie-in til 8.30 :D, thank you, furries

    2. Used some very posh Hilton toiletries in the shower this morning, bits brought home from my weekend away. Pity I had to put on my old, rather threadbare, once-pink towelling robe instead of a nice thick, soft, fluffy one but it's wonderful what a bit of imagination can do :D

    3. Super lunchtime meeting with friends, some of whom were at Brum with me last weekend. Re-lived lots of happy moments and discussed an upcoming weekend in September

    4. Moved nearly all the furniture from the lounge to the kitchen, emptied the bookcase, took down the tie-back hooks, wall sconces, pictures and hooks etc etc. Quite pleased I can still do these things without having to call on anyone to help, I have a lot to be thankful for

    5. I don't want to be a bore....oh, okay I'm going to be a bore. I'll just say 16 Gold, 11 Silver, 10 Bronze - so far :j

    Night night, sleep tight :)

Oh Sparrer thank you! Ate far too many carbs at the party and had too much Prosecco, so from tomorrow I am back on low carb teetotal!
