Kittikins - I sympathise. I have £6 in cash to last me until Tuesday (have gone overdrawn which I'm VERY cross about.

Would have been fine except it's smaller son's birthday tomorrow and we've just come back from camping (and I was away the week before that) so there is no fresh food in the house.

Bought milk and eggs yesterday but the money situation is on my mind all the time. :-(
  • Thanks Chicks, DD and Sparrar legs. I did mention chocolate as well. Well, got Ms Sonny a treat tonites, a decent bottle of Red Whine. And we has dogs for Lunch Brunch as well, snapple and pork, with toe nailed onions.

Yes I nose how hards things are, everyone is upset with me, caught Ms Sonny crying tother nite, cos she thinks I am going, cos of mes broken heart. I is no going I is a weeble.

Got to go nows, cos cat is off his food and a trip to the vet is on. Tiger has bummed lip, and is sore. Stupid thing he is. Now all I has to do is catch the beast.

    Afternoon all.

I didn't get round to getting back on the forum yesterday evening, so here's mine for yesterday:

    1) Nice lie-in.

    2) A lazy sort of day watching the Olympics, with lots of lovely medals. :T

    3) Enjoying the bunch of HG sweet peas I cut when I got home on Wednesday.

    4) Chorizo and chickpea stew for dinner - one of my favourite store-cupboard recipes.

    5) Pub quiz in the evening, and we came fourth. :j I've promised to turn one of the bottles of beer we won into a cake for the team to share - does anyone know of a cake that's made with stout?

Kittikins - was the Roman villa you went to the one at Fishbourne? I went there a couple of years ago and spent ages looking at the mosaics - I particularly liked the one that's lop-sided because whoever built it didn't measure the space properly and ran out of room! :rotfl:

Hugs to all who need them - I must go and watch Team GB win another medal. :D
Back after a very long break!

Yes it was Fishbourne, the mosaics are amazing and yup, I liked that one too, but overall I liked the way the subsidence had saved some of the mosaics from being churned up by the farming of the land over the years :) I would have been a lopsided mosaic-maker I'm sure.

Dd and her friend are now decorating fairy cakes they've made to take with us on a picnic up at a farm/play place we're planning on going to once I find my Group*n voucher!! I've printed loads of the bally things off but can I find a printout when I need it?!?

    Back later with pleasures...

    Good afternoon all

Here are my pleasures for today, past and anticipated:

1 - A very good night sleep found me well awake and rested this morning.

2 - Speaking with DH this morning and knowing that this evening he will be back home

3 - Babysat for a client of my fitness trainer today again, this means another free fitness session for me.

4 - Looking forward to cleaning the house so that DH will find it all nice neat and tidy (well, not looking forward to the cleaning part really, just the end result!).

5 - Soooo looking forward to seeing DH again after a week apart!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hurrah for Friday !
1.I had a lovely day at work, did some different things from usual which made the morning go past quickly. Straight out that door at hometime!
2.Had a visit from OH's UK colleague who is over here to cover for him. Nice to see him and had a good blether with him.
3.As he was coming.....bathrooms were cleaned and hoovering done, kitchen tidy so we are reasonably tidy already and the weekend hasn't started!
4.Sat and read for a while ( wee snooze in between!) and then have been watching Olympics with OH since. We only get events Ozzies are in.....enjoying watching team GB win those medals :)
5.OH was feeling the tiniest bit better again today. Flagging now but it does give me hope.

Have a lovely day....I'm off to bed and no alarm clock set for tomorrow:)

    Good afternoon all !

sonny -I hope the cat is ok??

CCP- I meant to say yesterday before the wine sunk in - I am glad that the family cat is ok as I remember why you wanted to see him/her x

Caterina, Sparrer and Dundee- It's just clicked you all have personal trainers - I don't mean the pair of old Reeboks type of trainer.

    5 for today

    1. Lovely deep sleep , wine induced no doubt.

    2. OH in foul mood he has given up smoking and he is vile .Trouble is I "bite" and I have mentally kicked him out and got the locks changed before he has even closed his mouth . Anyway he sent me a text to say that he has booked Xmas :eek:lunch at a posh country house for us and Mum and paid the deposit . So note to self ...to cancel the imaginary locksmith;):D

3.Drove to country feed store to pick up hen food - nice drive out there too in the OGV. Nice older "fox" of a man in Landrover there too also collecting hen food ..could be like the old Nescafe ads ! :rotfl:

    4. Two lots of washing got soaked on the line during the heavy shower as I was out doing the above , thankfully it has now dried.

    5. Rowing :j'nuff said - it's all quite emotional too :o

Have a good weekend all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
