    Good evening all !

CCP - well done you !! I am sure that you will have some wobbleade to celebrate.

Dundee- Ha ! As a qualified weight lifting /fitness instructor it don't cut no ice wiv me - on the floor ...give me ten of your best !:rotfl:

Sonny - we love you x

VJsmum- This is not good . Sorry to hear this ... will you go home to a tidy house though??

Mcculloch - I so get it re the Olympics ! You can't help but get drawn in , even if you don't want to ! I gather Hereford racecourse is closing down and Folkestone temporarily . I rode at Folkestone over 6furlongs its not my favourite but sad none the less.

    5 for today

    1. Got thanks from the Head of my unit and line manager for sorting out a politicly difficult issue at work. The "awkward punter " ( who was actually lovely)phoned me up to thank me too .

    2. Found out that others in the team have been phoned on their personal mobiles after 9.30pm (they finish at 5pm) by our line manager ! More fool them for answering it !

3.Hens are well peed off about Stephen the Seagulls "whistling" baby . He keeps bringing it down and trying to get me to feed it .The hens are looking for any opportunity to attack it - as it is standing on their hen house ...

4.Lentil Dahl for tea with basmati rice.

    5. Day off tomorrow !

    6. OH has just brought me a glass of wine - I don't usually drink so my veins will now pop out and I will be asleep by 9pm !

Have a good evening all !

    Sorry to hear that, VJ'smum.

Here are my pleasures for today so far:

    1) Not too bad a sleep.

    2) Sons played tennis with my brother (he is secretary of the local tennis courts) They're both pretty good although smaller son is ambidextrous so he just swaps hands so never has to play a backhand!

    3) Smaller son and I made a loaf of bread which we have almost eaten.

    4) Good tidy of the kitchen. Almost out of money this week so went through the store cupboard and there is plenty in there.

    5) Really enjoyed the Olympics today especially the clay pigeon shooting and the canoeing.

    6) Just starting to get organised for smaller son's birthday this weekend. Thought we would still be on holiday until the actual day. Was going to buy a rocket (firework, not a real one) to fire off the beach the night before but that won't be happening now.

That's it for now! Thought there would be more to write about, it hasn't been a bad day.

(((VJsmum and Mr VJsmum))) that's rotten for all of you but well done for making the best of the situation :)
CCP congrats on the OU result :)
Frith sounds like a good day, the rocket will be fun no matter where it's fired from
Caterina my mogs are a similar age as yours :). The breakfast pancakes sound yummy, specially with the cream as well

    1. Up early to a sunny morning, didn't last but it makes you feel good when you open the curtains to sunshine

    2. Took the car to the garage, it wasn't as £painful as I'd thought and less so when the mechanic told me he did much the same but he was travelling at 80mph and chatting to a passenger. He was lucky he didn't turn it over! Made me feel a bit less of a 'stupid female'

    3. Good session at the gym, put in a few extra mins on the treadmill while I waited for DD to finish her routine.

    4. Called in to Mr M and got lots of bargains, among other things some blueberries rtc from £1 to 29p (there were perhaps 20 boxes so I took 6), potatoes from 99p to 25p, a 3kg bag of red onions 40p, a honeydew melon rtc 25p, Carte d'or rf ice-cream 2 for £3 and a bunch of day lilies from £3 to 50p. The sort of shopping I don't mind

    5. The Olympics. We're amazing! :T

Have a good rest of the evening :)

Kitchenbunny - glad today has been better for you :)

    1. Good chat with my mum on the phone, telling her all about our recent trip to London

    2. DD and I went out to a Roman villa and had a great time, learned loads

    3. I gift aided our entrance fee and now have a pass to go back for half price anytime we like in the next year, yay, we love places like this :)

    4. Took DD to Bosham afterwards so we could pretend to be King Canute (oh and she had an ice cream, whilst I was very restrained and just had a couple of slurps of it rather than having my own one)

    5. Made amazingly good carrot and lentil soup for dinner, nomnomnom. One bowl's worth left :)

    6. Managed to get DD to tidy her room with a bit of help from me! It looks much more relaxing now.......if only the rest of the house did ;)

    Remembered another one:

    7. DD and I snaffled some raspberries whilst wandering around the Roman kitchen garden :) deeeeelish!

Ello, I wonder am I the only one who has considered trying to fit another freezer in to also get the bargains.

I’m in hospital, I’ve seen more pictures, x rays and CT scans of my lungs than I need to, but I can see pleasures..

1.A room with a view of bunnies hopping about
    2.The ward is all rooms
    3.My own bathroom and TV
4.Being with it enough to find pleasures

Glad I could be an inspiration Tealady :) Hope you have a brilliant time when you go :)

I'm now panicking as I will have £14 left in the bank for the whole of August after bills, before I have to start borrowing from the car/house insurance pots again to buy food and petrol and anything else that crops up (the tickets weren't that expensive, just trying to catch up with myself with rising costs of everything is getting harder each month......*sigh*)
