MHags - so pleased to hear about you husband! Wonderful news even if there is a long old slog to get him right as rain. What a scarey accident. You poor thing! Broken ribs are the pits. Hope you mend quickly!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    well first the good news!
1.There is no spread, the tumour is the primary one & will mean major surgery and radiotherapy but they are sure they can treat it aggressively. Phew! Still a long road ahead.

The bad news: we came out of hospital so relieved there was no further spread, went to turn a corner at a busy interchange when a van crashed into us at speed. I took the brunt of the impact. Car is a write off , I have sore head & 2 fractured ribs. Straight back to hospital in an ambulance!

2.Excellent first aid from a team of rugby players who were taking a break from training at a nearby cafe. In my confusion/shock could not work out where these hunky guys were coming from.
3.Seen promptly at hospital & everyone really nice.
    4.Train home! (no car!)
5.We are both alive & well to fight another battle!
6.Have just had the most lovely email from my colleague! Have had lots of good wishes sent for today, I was so, so fearful about scan results.

    have a good one xx

Very pleased to hear the good news. Thank goodness the crash wasn't any worse. As the old saying goes it doesn't rain but it pours. Keep strong and take care.

What an utter nightmare one thing after another - good news is cars can be replaced/repaired people cannot.

Sending you much love and thoughts. :)

Mchags, I’ve got visions of you laughing for the irony, but not too hard for those ribs. So so glad it had not spread.

I’m feeling very unwell, according to the doctor I have an infected gallbladder “acute cholecystitis”, if the pain continues I have to go into hosp, so touching wood this end, worried about the prospect of surgery for removing it.

The positives compared to yesterday, which is a bit of a blur.
1.I can actually sit upright again
2.I can have fluids again, yippee
3.Feeling a stone lighter for all the blood they have taken
4.My very tired DH (I was up all night in such bad pain but didn’t know if to go to hosp or not), taking care of me, I have a bit of a mental block on hospitals if I am still standing :o
5.Enjoying the hail and thunder storm from under the duvet.
