    Evening all

PK - what was your number 3 today??

Chicken - how lovely to get and easter card and flowers!!

Another long day in the office so am feeling very weary

    1) Had a nice young man round this morning to sort me out ;) He was here to do my loft insulation survey. I have booked the installation for the beginning of May... and it was FREE!! Yay! Not often I have anything nice to say about MrT but I am grateful that they are paying for it!

    2) While the guy was here I pottered around the flat and got loads of tidying done

    3) Walked into town with a colleague who wanted to chat. It was lovely and warm and sunny :)

    4) Got the details of the job I am having a meeting about tomorrow morning. I would be reporting into my old boss from 2 jobs ago. I don't know if this would be good or not as I was so unhappy in that job. I hated everything about it except for my close team.

    5) Jelly beans!!!

    night night

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    1. Snow making things look pretty and then melting, thankfully.
    2. A NSD (again)!
    3. A lovely pot of beef stew with veggies that were past their best as last week wasn't stew weather, but still tasting good.
    4. Getting round to changing the two rear tyres on my trike. A bit of a struggle but a fraction of a price the bike shop would have charged. The new tyres look very smart!
    5. The pleasure of half an hour's pampering as I got ready this morning - no rush to leave, so time to use all the goodies I have rather than just a quick wash and dab of face cream.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Ladyhawk you are so being taken for a ride, one minute you're praised to the limit, the next put down in a horrible way . Good for you looking for another job, you go girl. Literally!

Just a quickie, none very OS I'm afraid but have saved for it by being frugal :) -

    1. The amazing Colesium
    2. The Arena (where the chariot race scene from Ben Hur was shot). Interesting fact, it was built to seat 1/4m spectators!
    3. The guided open top bus ride - was just like Wimbers - If you look to the left you'll see...if you look to the right...look to the left...look to the right...look left...look right...left...right...and so on for an hour
4 The carbonara - oh, if I could only make it like that I'd be a big fat mama in no time :rotfl:
    5. You know you're a Grandma when - the men's eyes start to travel in your direction...then set their sights on your beautiful 15 y/o granddaughter :D

    Hope all is well
    Sweet dreams :)

Chickenopolis - what a lovely gift from the little girls :)

    1. The sunshine!!

    2. Nearly a NSD, but I bought OH and I bottles of Coke instead of taking us to the pub (cheaper), as we were feeling a bit down in the dumps....never mind, it was worth it, as we sat in my lovely garden and enjoyed the sunshine and chatted about everything and anything :)

    3. OH has brought me a very calorific and delicious looking Easter egg which I'm finding hard to resist til Sunday!

    4. Bumped into a lovely family of friends whilst buying the coke and had a little natter.

    5. Having struggled for ages to work out what to buy one of my best friends for her 40th at the weekend, I popped into one of the village shops and found the perfect pressies, and not too expensive either, phew!

    6. Fabulous chats with DD

    7. Found a bag of screws and things to put a piece of kitchen furniture together that had been missing since the day we moved. Phew! As my new kitchen is going to take a while for me to decide on, order, oh and pay for ;) I'm going to need to take short to medium term steps to make the room a bit more useable and the butcher's block will certainly help!

    8. Arranged for a friend from church to come and mow my lawn and do some gardening for me today, hopefully the first of some regular help, what a sweetie - will pay him with roast chicken salad, OH can't wait for lunch!

    9. YS curry and pilau rice for dinner, scrumptious

I think my man flu is real flu. :( I am supposed to be going to Paris on Saturday so hope i am better by then.

Chicken - I think you can have the viking, he stinks! I am also too tired to do anything exciting with him  Lovely flower stories

Ladyhawk - sorry about Dubai. My work does things like that too. I am supposed to be going to a conference in Montreal in June, we shall see if it comes off

Dundee doll - maybe you have real flu too?

CCP your man getting out of the snow looks like a fried egg at first with the yolk trying to escape :D

So for yesterday - not much as I barely left the sofa

    1. Took DS to doctors. He doesn't have tonsilitis and is definitely now on the mend. There were some bugs flying about there though. Came home and slept for over an hour.
    2. Watched titanic from sunday
3 Watched the first 3 ever episodes of lark rise to candleford. I shall get through some more today
    4. DD still being really good. Made some get well soon cakes and she cooked tea - very exciting fish fingers and chips. She went out for lunch with a friend and I was pleased she got out.
    5. Managed to put my knitted jacket together and will finish sewing it up today. I thought it was going to be a disaster but it actually looks alright.

I must try to get some housework done today if I can. And pack for DS to go skiing on Saturday.

Have a lovely time those that are going / are away
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Morning

VJsmum / DundeeDoll - Hope you both feel better soon

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Lovely flowers off OH delivered to work which included a single white rose, my favourite. He bought me a single white rose for our first anniversary as well:A
    2. Lovely dinner out with OH and DD, thanks to Mr.T vouchers.
    3. Appreciating my little family, there have been some tough times over the years and am sure there will be more to come but the good stuff more than makes up for it.
    4. Getting on with some project work and asking the project manager if I could make changes to the work that I had been given as knew it was wrong. Given go ahead as he reckoned I knew more about it that the engineer :D
    5. Used some vouchers to buy new jogging bottoms

Hugs to all who need them
