Evening all! Lovely to see some new and old faces :)

    Mine for today

    1. 11h sleep! Ok it was sleep payback, but it was lovely and I woke up nice and refreshed (kind of miss the pitter patter of teeny feet on the wooden floor above tho)
    2. Beans on toast for breccie, hm soup for lunch, fruit for snacks and something out of the freezer, which turned out to be moussaka for dinner. Much welcomed after a week of canap!s, 3 courses and cheese :fat:
    3. NSD
    4. Reunion with the horses; took oldie for a walk around the fields (found 2x burned out Chinese lanterns, one of which was broken and had nasty metal sticking out :rage: ) had cup of tea with oldie trying to drink it and she pinched my biccie (only thinking of my post holiday food baby, I'm sure)
    5. Rhubarb crumble is sitting in the oven (friends' home-grown rhubarb out of the freezer). This is not going to help my post holiday food baby

Ahh, it feels good to be back in a routine, dull as my routine might be :D

Hugs to all in need xx

millie - potty mouth indeed :rotfl:that did make me laugh, but then your posts kill me anyway x Chinese lanterns - the death knell to many livestock:(

missemmajane - how exciting moving in with OH for the first time ! Well done on the £31 bed :T Also love the the idea of the 50p card and chocs for your friend , you are doing well .

    5 for today

    1. Went in to town with Mr. Grumpy (OH) .So went off on my own for a mooch and got 10 birthday cards for £1 and some napkin rings in Robert D. that look like massive engagement rings for £2 . I am not sure if I like them or hate them , so I may save them for a present for someone . I saw one of my sisters this afternoon and said that I went in to R.D and she said "napkin rings" before I had even opened my mouth .... I may have found the gift recipient after all :)

    2. Got some lipstick that I used to wear all the time a hundred years ago in Bo**s , was suprised that they still made it . Did not spend anything as I used my Christmas vouchers :). I can't wait to wear it tomorrow - how sad is that !

    3. I feel quite squidgy and lethargic at the moment but people have said that I have got even thinner !?

    4. To remedy the above ^ - I made a roast , with the chicken donated by my Mum, with veg that we had not used at Christmas . I also made a very full fat bread and butter pudding made with cream . OH ate most of it as he has a sweet tooth . Not a pea left on any plate !

    5. My old hen was a bit chesty today - she has had some meds. and has been swearing at the others as normal ,so fingers crossed , she is 6 though . I keep going out to check on her and her she seems OK .

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

Chickenopolis, I have my fingers crossed for your hen - hope she is OK.

Millie2008 - I have a dirty mind but even I can't see what's wrong with the word canape! Made me smile, though...

Let's see what I can rustle up for today:

    1. A long and entertaining phone call with an old school friend.
    2. A friend asking me to come round for a meal next weekend. He's a good cook so I'm looking forward to it.
    3. Yummy spicy bean patty with loads of vegetables tonight.
    4. Homemade pate and toast for lunch.
    5. A guilty pleasure - a lazy day today. Haven't done a lot; normally I do and I seem to be rebelling a bit at the moment.
    6. Sorting what I need to do for next week and getting organised.
    7. Catching up with sleep in the afternoon.
    8. Still being in the lead for an Ebay auction. Ends Tuesday evening so fingers crossed. I've set my maximum bid to a sensible amount so we'll see.
    9. Reading the books I took out from the library yesterday, both fiction and non-fiction.
    10. Being well within my grocery budget and doing well on my 2012 budget so far.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and is relaxed tonight.
Mille it’s no good I can’t find anything rude in that word?

Up early to do the remainder of the greenhouse and shed for DF
The drive over was lovely on the motorway Sunday morning traffic.
It was very hard work bashing concrete, carefully dismantling a 70 year old green house and wrapping the glass that made it, carefully smashing the glass that didn’t make it, we are having the staging and frame and will keep it in storage until we know what’s what house wise, but it’s lovely to have.
Another couple of days work left to do sorting ramps out into the shed as he is disabled and needs the wheelchair access.
Home, hot bath and intensive conditioner for the hair, and a 10p curry with rice for dinner which was far better than expected.
Painkillers kicking in as rather overdid it today.

    6. DD and I had fun whilst stripping and remaking her bed - I know, odd isn't it?!? We do have such silly giggles at times, it's a wonder we managed to get the duvet case on properly we were laughing so much!

Who was it who said "Appreciate the little things because the little things become the big things"? Oh just googled it, "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things" Robert Brault

    For today

    1. Bacon buttie for breakfast
    2. More decluttering
    3. Went to the cinema - The Iron Lady - Streep was amazing, story line is a bit pants
    4. Steak for tea - bought for a post christmas meal and not eaten so a lovely treat today.
    5. No alcohol for a week - not an alcoholic (honest :o) just wanted to cut back, but am used to having a glass or two at the weekend.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Hehe, I can only think it was the ape followed by the s, as in ape**** Mr forum swearword detector ought to follow me around when I'm driving, I think he might just implode. I even make up my own expletives. OH did a tally en route to Cornwall last year

Eta: I am not a complete potty mouth and limit my sweariness to driving. My mother's swearword detector goes off at the word "poo" so I need to be careful! Having her in the car with me is, errr interesting!!
