Evening all, still here, still breathing, still sleeping a lot so still not doing overmuch
1. Vac'd through upstairs
2. Washing dried on the line - so blowy the duvet cover ended up in next doors garden!
3. A pile of shredding done, more to do but it's a start
4. Lovely friend phoned and came to visit this evening. Put the world to rights over a cuppa
5. Caught up with Eastenders when she left, sad I know but I like it, or did, remains to be seen what happens now all the 'oldies' have gone
sweet dreams

Blimey - even I might think 41 degrees was hot!!
Mine for yesterday
1. Took DD and FN (fave niece) to theatre. Not too pricey as a small local one - and the parking was free.
2. Playing games with DD, DS and FN
3. Tidying more of the office - found some old piccy's of kids as babies, including one of DS (now 12 and huge) dressed as a dalmation when he was about 4! :rotfl:
4. Sausages and cauli cheese for tea
5. No alcohol after a pretty solid 2 weeks of it. :T
Fave niece gone home today- got the tidying up to do and the tree to take down. It all looks a bit odd now with decs still up!
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Another lazy day!
1.Tidied through some kitchen drawers & have a bag for Op shop (charity shop)
2.Watched 2 DVD's whilst pottering about in kitchen , both documentaries: 1 on the history of shopping/department stores which was very interesting & the other about 5 very different Australian women who entered a convent for 33 days & nights. Again very interesting!
3.Tidied my bathroom drawers.....I shall use up my stash of stuff!
4.Had beans on toast for brunch, and baked potato for dinner. Everyone else had defrosted Roast beef (from Christmas day), potatoes & veggies. All had been RTC.
5.Made peach ice-cream. I am loving my ice cream maker. Cream was RTC.
Have a good one!0 -
Frith - big smiles here on reading that MrB might be known as OH soon0

Hello everyone!
Nothing OS to report (ski resorts are some of the most expensive places on earth!!) but I did reverbe 1euro from the floor of the bar last night. Paid for about 1/7 of my drink!!
Amazing weather today, gorgeous blue skies and sunshine, so we got lots of skiing in. Heaven. Not so for OH though, as he pinged his back yesterday (an old injury) and is currently having physio, so we shall see if he can ski the rest of the week
Meal out at one of our face places tonight, as it is our chalet hosts' night off.
Hope everyone is ok, hugs to anyone in need xx0 -
Millie that sounds fantastic! Hope your OH's back gets better so he can carry on skiing
Here are my 5 OS pleasures for today (so far):
1. Feeling quite a bit better today, can breathe a bit through my nose and my throat isn't sore anymore so hoping tomorrow I might be pretty much back to normal!
2. Because of ^ I ventured outside my house for the first time in three days, was getting serious cabin fever! Did a couple of little tasks such as taking my uni books back so I didn't get fined, posting my documents to CO OP to open my student acc and to join my university's health and fitness bit so I can go to classes once I am better. My old zumba class had moved, and this means petrol saving and cheaper classes, don't know why I didn't do it earlier.
3. Used some whoopsied seed topped wholemeal buns for cheese sandwiches and tomato soup - was lovely!
4. Paid off my £50 overdraft on one of my Nationwide accounts, so the other accounts overdraft can be switched to my CO OP student one once open and I will no longer be budgeting for interest each month and can slowly pay it off before graduating.
5. Going to do a bit of tidying at home for the rest of the day and chill out so hopefully I will be 100% again tomorrow, plus having LO homemade chilli from the freezer for tea
Hope everyone is having a good day and surviving the wind! Its not bad at all here (near Liverpool) just enough to make you look bald when you're walking around but from what I have seen on the news its really bad in places, hope you're all wrapped up warm!0 -
1. NSD
2. Made yummy bread rolls to go with reheated soup for lunch when DD and my dad returned
3. My dad took 2 carloads of stuff to the tip from the loft, yay, only my stuff that is coming with me is left up there now
4. DD is back
5. Snuggles on the sofa with DD watching Kungfu Panda 2, her favourite Christmas present, whilst wrapped in her second favourite present, a slankket
6. Quick chat with OH on the phone, he's still 'dying' of man flu, but at least he's resting.
7. Hopefully sorted out a work problem to everyone's satisfaction this morning
8. My dad found more boxes that we can use for house packing in the loft, hoorah!0 -
Anyway, he is being very manipulative and has got both sons to text and phone me that smaller son wants to be in his dad's darts team at the pub (son is 8!) I thought they meant tomorrow so said yes but he meant every Friday, 8-10pm. Well, the ex only has them every other weekend, Sat-Sun, so that is completely out. I told them so (gently) so the ex has had a go and they've phoned me to complain then I got a text from smaller son saying he is "never seeing me again" and I am a !!!!!!.
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
I'm sure it'll blow over but who on earth winds an 8 year old up so much that they write things like that?
Frith
Please save all those texts and download into a file with a note about it.
They may be useful someday in yet another court case.
And keep the nice ones he sends at other times as evidence that the deciding factor is the ex.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Five for today are:-
1. Easyish morning at work so that was not too bad.
2. Taking an item back to Monsoon and getting a refund.
3. Found some RTC items in Sainsbobs, neck of lamb and a big line caught cod fillet piece. I have made three separate bags from the lamb trays for future meals which have gone in the freezer. I put the cod straight in the freezer when I got home, very pleased with those.
4. Having a hot mug of tea while watching the hail coming down outside
5. Made a huge pan of stew tonight for supper there was allot of root veggies in the basket so I have used quite a bit of that up and gratefully appreciated by DH.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

millie - I-A-M-N-O-T-J-E-A-L-O-U-S (much) . Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself x x Hope MrMillie recovers soon x
purplek- sorry if my bed conversation brought up the ghosts of mattress squashers:D
mhagster - my brain still won't take in turkey and tinsel in Oz in that heat .
sparrer - I hope that you are feeling better today ?
5 for today
1. Back to the workhouse ! It was OK as I had supervision and have booked 2 weeks leave at the end of January and still have loads more to take after that. Needed to "air" a few issues my manager which have been sorted out .
2. One of my colleagues went for, and got promoted . I am so pleased for him , he is a gem . In the past I may have felt a bit jealous as I am naturally competetive- but my work is not the "be all and end all" to me anymore .I value my health and time spent doing things with people I care about. It was good to feel genuinely pleased for him .
3. Ordered and paid for our new mattress not OS - however, it is reduced in price by a thousand pounds. I am looking forward to seeing if I feel any different , being spinal cord injured and in pain most days .
4. Five eggs from the hens today -two blue and three brown - some are huge!
5. Macaroni cheese with a few bits of veg mixed in to mine for tea. Comfort food
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0
