CCP - PM me your email address if you'd like some good quiz questions, I help organise our school quiz nights and have a good stock, written by friends of mine (not me!) who are fabulous at it, well, one's a professional TV person :)

    Well, it's 3.20am.

I don't know where to start.

I should be asleep at MrB's. I presume he is still asleep. Instead, I got up, packed and drove home at about 1am.

I feel terrible that he will wake up and I won't be there. I feel like some weirdo for not being able to cope with the relationship not having a physical side.

    :-(

frith -((hugs)) to you . I am sure that Mr.B will call you to find out why you were not there when he wakes up. I am unsure what to say to you to offer reassurance . It sounds as if things have not become any clearer since you emailed him with your concerns ? I hope things will resolve themselves for you xxx

Frith - hugs to you. I do hope you find a solution to the situation soon.

    1. Doing a reverbe and finding 16p.

    2. Returning some items after a couple of months - unopened with no receipt, and getting a refund.

    3. Returning a faulty tv to Comet and, with receipt, and they replaced it but with great courtesy and were extremely helpful and carried it to my car.

    4. Started xmas shopping.

    5. Went to work xmas dinner - not ms but very enjoyable and expense had been planned for and spread over a few months.

    6. Found a source of mistletoe which I'm going to pick today.

    7. Watching DS2 play rugby and he remained uninjured.Always a pleasure when you have visited as many A$E departments as we have.

    8. Picking some apples from the orchards. Just need to stew and freeze them.

Hugs Frith - not sure if anything we say can help with the situation, but what I would say is, think of yourself first xxxx

quickly as internet is being pants!

    1.saturday scone!
2.Good shop at Aldi, was $30 less than usual, then at other supermarket got lots of RTC veg & meat.
3.Defrosted freezer....hurrah ! Been much needed as was struggling to open & close door!
4.Tidied airing cupboard today....another much needed job done. After our guests had left a few weeks ago, quilts & pillows & mattress protectors had been shoved in out of the way, so took everything out, did a collection of old quilt covers for charity and it looks so much tidier....for now!
    5. Nice tea of HM savoury mince pie, mashed RTC potaoes & RTC cauliflower & broccoli with a very yummy cheese sauce. Then rhubarb sponge for pud.

Has been quite cool here the last few days, had a cardi & boots on today.....that's how chilly it was! 2 quilts on bed to stay warm at night! It's supposed to be summer! However, it feels more seasonal this way and I have a nice RTC Christmas candle burning in a RTC Christmas lamp I bought in January sales. Just watched Upstairs Downstairs & all is well with my world!

Frith: thinking of you & you do what is right for you .

    1. Low spend day, but DD and I did spend £1 on a choccy swiss roll.........nomnomnom.

    2. I've just cleared out DD's huge craft cupboard and have some goodies to pass on to friends and Rainbows and you open the cupboard without an avalanche of crayons tumbling out :)

    3. Lovely manager of local shoe shop gave me 20% discount when I took in DD's school shoes that have broken after a couple of months, even though I didn't have a receipt (but they are the C****s brand, so I guess they have their brand identity to think about), and it turns out DD's feet have grown so she needed bigger replacements. What a lovely lady, DD loves her new shoes, as they're the same as her best friend's, and a size 1!! Where is my baby going? She's only 6!

    4. I have scrummy smelling beany soup in the slow cooker for many meals this week :)

    5. I've made up lots of cheese rolls for the freezer using rolls I was given yesterday after the fete.

    6. I'm wearing a lovely snuggly new to me cardigan from the collection a friend gave me the other week, it's gorgeous

    7. DD and I had a lovely cosy lie-in together this morning, missed church but she was exhausted after a couple of very busy days, so I didn't mind too much.

    8. DD has decided I need to go on a diet tomorrow, so apparently I'm allowed to eat whatever I like today :) I do need to go on a diet and it's a bit shaming that a 6 year old has told me so......but I shall enjoy my soup with a bread roll tonight!

    9. We're just about to make her some fairy cakes for her packed lunches and more for Rainbows.

    10. I'm hoping to pin her down to measure her up for a 'villager' outfit for her nativity play. I've got an old sheet I can cut up and hopefully dye with teabags in the bath, to make it look more fitting for that area/era, lol. Just need to drag her away from the science programme she's watching on TV.

    1. Managed to get two loads of washing nearly dry on the line which is amazing really considering this time of the year!

    2. Changed the bedding and looking forward to climbing into a lovely clean bed. So loving the flannelette sheets :)

    3. Quick clean through in the house (the bigger one will be Tuesday afternoon).

    4. Big hugs with the horses and dogs - the horses winter coats are coming out next weekend forecast to be very cold!

    5. Looking forward to the Sunday roast cooking in the oven!
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

My grandchildren and I went out to a cafe for lunch

I'm reading a book which makes me laugh

I've been eating chocolate swiss roll

It hasn't been too cold, but I turned my heating on this morning while I was still in bed - cosy ...

While capering around as Fairy Twinkletoes in last night's panto, I tripped over my feet and the slow motion crash on the way down gave me time to think how to turn this into a comedy moment ... which must have made me relax, and today I have no aches, bruises - nothing!

This is a really useful thread - I'm afraid I use it when things are particularly awful, or have been, and I need to scrape 5 good small things out of the bad.

    Frith - :cuddle: :( xx

Looks like Oldie wears a clean vest and pants each day then?? :D HHHHMMM I wonder what Santa will bring her this year .. obviously not a smallperson in jodphurs wanting a pony ride , unless they can reach the bolt of the feed room door.....

Ahhh, she's bright, but not bright enough to figure out that smallpeople might come in handy! I am a bit obsessive about her rugs, esp her sweet itch rugs- she has her own washing machine

Yes, I think it's really good for putting things into perspective and always cheers me up when I've had a bad day :)

    Mine for today

    1. Lie iiiinnnnnn until 8am!!
    2. Went to Worcester to the xmas markets with mum (I don't have an xmas market fetish, honest!!). I prefer the Worcs one, as it is less commercialised than the B'am one. More mulled wine was consumed and I can confirm that the B'ham mulled wine is better!! This experiment probably needs to be repeated, lots though, to ensure statistical validity!
    3. Mum treated me to lunch at Saffrons, a little bistro that we both love. Nom!
    4. Met an adorable little boy when we were waitng for the park and ride bus- he entertained the queue with his singing and I rewarded him with a chocolate tree decoration, which didn't make is as far as his tree!
    5. I have just wrapped some more presents- need to update my lost now, but I don't have many to buy. Might order some on line tonight :D
oh and 6. Best mate announced on Facebook that I am the besterest best mate ever- not sure what I have done to deserve this title, other than colluding with her last night when her hubbie was being a kn*b (her word!!) (yes dear, they are all the same, but at least he is not wandering around B'ham somewhere dressed as Rolf Harris...so could be worse, etc etc)

OH still AWOL, well I know where he is, he's helping his best mate put his xmas decs up. This sounds a bit odd, but best mate is the campest straight man ever, amen. and is xmas mad. But BFF won't climb ladders, so OH has to do the height stuff. Pair of nutters!
And if OH (aka Rolf) insists on singing "two little boys" all night, I might just insert his didgeridoo (sp?) somewhere intimate  .....

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

    1) Put my snowflake stickers up on the windows: it's too early for me for Christmas decorations, but I keep telling myself that the snowflakes don't count. ;)

    2) Got my duvet back, all shiny and clean from the launderette, so I can be warm in bed tonight. :)

    3) Wrote another round of Xmas quiz questions. (Kittikins - you're an angel. :A (Quite appropriately for the time of year!))

    4) A steak and ale stew that's simmering away in the oven, awaiting dumplings, and smelling quite wonderful.

    5) Snooker on television all day - I don't know quite why I love watching snooker so much, but it's part of winter for me. And the mog loves it, too, which is very cute to watch. :)

Have a pleasant evening, all, and hugs in particular to Frith and anyone else feeling the need.
Back after a very long break!
