quick 5 as I am so tired!

3.Was too bloomin' warm ....30o & is still very warm at night, however, it did dry all the washing! Got it ironed!
4.Watched Casualty on iplayer
5. Yummy tea of roast pots, steak pie, roast parsnips, peas (freshly shelled) carrots & sweetcorn ......pear sponge & cream for pud.........everything single thing had been RTC0 -

It's been such a nice day here today with a pleasant warm breeze so here are my five:-
1. Walked the dogs over the field this morning and not met a single soul all was quiet and I like it like that.
2. Cleaned the house from top to bottom. DH is at work today so I have the place to myself.
3. Watched a repeat of How Clean Is Your House and felt virtuous that my home is clean and tidy - well it is now that I have done it.
4. Sunday lunch will soon be put on roast beef, yorkshire puds etc.
5. Put some stale bread out for the birds and have watched them enjoying their freebie lunch!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Hi everyone, first time posting for me - I've enjoyed reading this thread so thought I should add mine.
1. Watching a neighbour's cat chasing autumn leaves in my garden.
2. The smell of HM choc chip muffins wafting through the house.
3. HM face scrub - olive oil and brown sugar=baby's bum soft skin!
4. Listening to my 10 year old son singing a Lady Gaga song but not knowing we could hear him....bless. :T
5. My OH making me a cuppa without asking if I wanted one. :A
I'm easily pleased lol.Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage.0 -
Sparrar - Hugs to you0

Hello doodoot, how cute to hear the Lady Gaga song
Hope you'll keep posting
1. DD gave me lots of cuddles in her sleep
2. Despite drinking a fair amount of brown fizzy orange juice (aka beer), I woke up feeling completely rested and relaxed this morning(Unlike OH who was at his friend's drinking fine wines........no sympathy
)
3. The house still looks pretty darned good for being tidy
4. Got more washing dry on the line
5. The sunshine
6. Bro and my dad did some much needed DIY around the house for me
7. Not quite a pleasure, but a seagull stole my icecream on the pier, the pleasure was how funny it was, the pain was losing my lovely 99 *sigh* Obviously a sign that I'd had enough to eat really
8. Packed up a picnic and the 3 of us went down to Brighton and ate on the beach and watched people taking the new Brighton Eye, hopefully DD and I will go on it later this week0 -
Good evening all!
Gosh where has the weekend gone?
frith- thank you x just needed to check;)
sparrer - we are all waiting here for you to give you a "feel good" fix and lots of hugs
kittikins- cheeky seagull - I am sorry but I had to laugh
5 for today
1. I went in to town on a mission to get a few Christmas presents at the best possible prices. Got my Mum some perfume for a very good price, a "keep calm and carry on " ceramic travel mug for £6.40 and two diaries - I may keep both:)
2. Went to Li** and got a lot of cheese that was on offer ( £1.44 for 400g)and various other bits that we need at a good price. I don't often visit the store and was amazed at how busy it was and I feel that the quality has improved- no limp veg in sight.
3. My brother, SIL , neice and birthday sister came over to my Mums and I spent the afternoon with them .
4.Washing dried on the line - such a beautiful day here .
5. After eating cr** yesterday - which made me feel sluggish , had a small amount of pasta, lots of veg and salmon in a modest amount of creamy sauce . The kitchen smells of lovely and garlicky - yum.
Have a good evening all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

1. Well, we won! We Won! We won![merci millefois Ladyhawk]...but France DID turn up and we were down to our 4th-choice no. 10 when Cruden was injured in the 1st half. But, young Mr Donald did the job and it was an all-round towering performance of absolute determination and attrition making a magnificent final with opponents who played to their utmost[for the first time in the entire tournament.] Happy times in The Snug, Cambridge.
2. Spoke to NZ rellies before the match, standing outside beneath pink mackerel dawn and crescent moon.
3. Found forgotten All Blacks scarf and wore it all day, with all else black, too.
4. It was then too lovely to be back here, so floated around town, played shops, read a lot, seated in public gardens facing and absorbing sun. Every day like this is a bonus now.
5. Reading another scraping Cara Black for her raw breath capture of marginal vie parisienne, along with Goethe's Selective Affinities...not such a strange mix après tout:-)
6. Last ever yard sale for nearby village museum yesterday. In 9 years these 2/3 women, now in their 70's, have raised over £18k - phenomenal. Was glad to find a Chris Brasher jacket[blowing on line now]for friend in said village and a couple of other bits which might go in next month's Fair.
7. Final episode of Spooks tonight, already a pleasure to anticipate[after AR, bien sûr].
Happy evening to all, before those who must, re-don Vestments of Servitude demain.

This is a great match report by Tom Fordyce with a thoughtful hinterland:

Evening all.
1) I finally got round to painting the small patch on my bathroom ceiling which my DF missed when he re-decorated for me a few weeks ago - and miraculously managed to do so without getting any paint on the carpet or on me. :j
2) Made a bread pudding to use up some bread that I wasn't going to get round to eating.
3) Harvested the last of my HG tomatoes - a large tray-full - and bought them inside to ripen.
4) Made a quiche using suet pastry so I didn't have to go back to the shop to get more butter. :money:
5) A nice chat on the phone with my DM.
I hope everyone's had a decent day.
sparrer - hugs to you and your DM.Back after a very long break!0 -
Evening all,
Sparrer - so sorry for your loss
I am feeling very weary after a busy day and a nice bath.
1) The rugby... I do enjoy watching men being manly.
2) Bumper harvest from the garden - big bowl of tomatoes, some onions and carrots
3) The mice have been evited from the gardening cupboard. They clearly are not fond of peppermint oil
4) Two loads of washing done
5) Prep work for the fruit mince meat is underway. I will "cook" it tomorrow. I was supposed to make some cupcakes as well but I really can't be bothered tonight.
6) Chatted with my DM on sky-pe. I'm not in a chatty mood but she talked enough for the both of us.
7) Read my book in the bath - Cocktails under the Tree of Forgetfulness.
8) Beautiful warm sunshine
9) Cleaned some of my shamefully filthy windows.
10) Made some meat balls and savoury mince - both destined for the freezer and for an evening when I really can't face the thought of cooking from scratch.
Night all
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0
