Evening all,
Hope you are well
Purple kitten - glad the interview went well. I will certainly have my fingers crossed for you.
I did very little at work today... I was so uninspired. Not helped by my waking up at 4.30am again
1) I did however completely clean out my desk, just in case the call on Monday is positive. One of my colleagues did ask whether I had handed in my notice!
2) Didn't take my own lunch today (bad girl) but I did have chips and salad for lunch which was yummy
3) Still managing to not put on my heating... only 9 days to go until I can officially give in. Not sure that I can last that long but I'm going to try!
4) Good atmosphere in the office - I was senior management as all the directors were [STRIKE]skiiving[/STRIKE] working from home. Not that I have much room to talk. Though I did manage to get my inbox down to 8 emails!
5) Pretty sunset and good music on the drive home.
nighty night

Sorted all the horses rugs out and put them into the correct order, leaving the summer and lightweight rugs at the back for next year.
Agh, I need to sort mine, they are all over the place! I made a start the other day and dropped 3 of oldie's off to be cleaned, then lost the will to live! Oldie is already in her medium weights, so I need to get my backside into gear and get her heavier ones ready  I did stash her fly rugs away, then had to get one out again last week as the midges were bothering her
Mine for the past few days
1. Made homemade soup with some cheapo leeks and potatoes and onions rescued from fridge - it went down very well
2. Ditto the pork and chorizo stew I made tonight
3. Went to visit two of my favourite people yesterday and took them homemade lemon cake. We chatted for hours, drank tea, patted ponies and then had a cheeky glass of wine
4. OH is back home after a few days flat out at work and sleeping over at the hospital. Fab to see him, even if he is half asleep. Early night, methinks!
5. Day out tomorrow with my Mum, for a mooch around Worcester and some lunch
6. My manky shingles rash is getting better :hail: aciclovir!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx0 -
Ladyhawk, we were both awake at silly clocks, although I'd been reading an hour before you 'joined' me. I should say you'll settle again when you know one way or another. Your situ sounds rather positive too pk, so there aren't too many uncrossed fingers around this weekend.
1. Read through from 3am to finish Cara Black...
2.... followed by rugby. Wales needed Captain Sam.
3. Booked lunch with sparrer - at last! - who has found unpretty forecast for the day in question. [We'd better keep the handover soap dry]. As sparrer wisely says, couldn't be better for window shopping and bookshop browsing.....
4. Took school's out bus into town[thankyou Bus Pass, for enabling guilt-free whimsy when cabin fever strikes]late afternoon and borrowed another Cara Black from Library. I need to be in Paris.
5. 5p+1p reverbe at village bus stop. I'd been thinking they've seemed scarce.
6. It's lovely to think of Frith, Mr B and boys being in London for their first 'family' weekend away. Especially good was the confident ease and happiness with which Frith announced both names being on that Railcard.
Probably I shouldn't be commenting on that, but it is a real pleasure so long-awaited, so well-deserved.
I'm declaring it Bonheur Partout et Pour Tous weekend...starting now.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Good evening all !
purple kitten -glad to hear that the interview went well. Fingers crossed xx
millie- glad to hear that your rash is fading .
5 for today
1. Half day at work and the last Friday that I will be working. Work/life balance and health should soon be restored. I appreciate that most people are facing cuts a work and I hope my surplus 7 hours may help fund or part fund the posts of others .
2. My Mum had brought two newspapers for me to collect the tokens for a £5 voucher.
3. Went to a pizza restaurant on impulse this evening with OH and used Mr. T vouchers.
4. It is very rare that I go out in the evenings , as I am usually too tired to go out and blow me! if my sister did not walk in with her work colleagues for a girls night out in the pizza restaurant . Weird as she never goes out either . She was very loud though:rotfl:
5.Have I got news for you on now , going to bed to watch with electric blanket on as its sooo cold tonight.
Have a great weekend all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Can someone enlighten me as to what "reverbe" stands for, I guess it means wombling money?
Reminds me of the time in the South of France when I was about 6 and together with a friend, dug up lots of 10F pieces on the beach and felt like the richest people in the world. Ever. Lots of ice creams were purchased that summer!0 -
Reverbe is one of mse's long-time faithful lurkers and posters and her wombling of odd coins has been transmuted into a happy verb here:D.
[I speak as a veteran Mr T wombler of abandoned receipts]
There you are, reverbe - True Fame!CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

purple kitten and Ladyhawk keeping all x'd for the desired result
millie many moons ago Reverbe was always finding coins in the street, so when I once did I said I 'did a Reverbe', now it's stuck. I'm lousy at it even though I'm short, as I tend to look up to see where I'm going, not down
1. Carpenter came and at long last put the dresser up in the kitchen. Looks amazing
2. Planted another tub of crocuses, bit of weeding, earthed up the potatoes
3. Carpenter is going to have my white lilac so I can replace it with another fruit tree, possible a pear
4. All windows cleaned inside
5. Autumnwatch/Autumnwatch Unsprung
Sleep well
