Okay here goes:-
1. Stripped our bed and washed the sheets, got them dry on the line with another load of washing as well. I also got the horses fly rugs washed too and they are very nearly dry.
2. Finished planting up the pansies into their pots and swept up round the front door as it's a magnet for leaves.
3. Sorted all the horses rugs out and put them into the correct order, leaving the summer and lightweight rugs at the back for next year.
4. Washed the window cills as they were pretty dirty. The window cleaning is scheduled for next week
5. Had a really nice fuss time with one of my boys, while he was rubbing his head up and down my back I was trying to put his rug on. I do appreciate it - really I do - it makes it a little harder for me to get his buckles done upCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Good evening all,
purple kitten - good luck for tomorrow !
sparrer- you are always so organised and busy doing things in your garden. I bet it looks lovely.
frith et al - have a lovely time in London.
kittikins- I know just what you mean about taking the hoover upstairs. Too dangerous for me.
Tealady- I loved the sound of your 5th pleasure yesterday . I could just picture it .
5 for today
1. longer day at work and another "potentially" tricky meeting. After tomorrow I will have Fridays off and my contract will be altered to 30 hours per week to reflect this as a reasonable adjustment.
2. Productive phone calls made in order to get things rolling for a pilot project that I am the lead worker for. Had started this before I was "asked" so had sourced the information I needed in advance.
3.Egg production (hens not mine) had slowed down to 4 or 5 a day , now back up to 7 today.
4. Gave away a dozen eggs to my neighbour and a family member.
5. Got some compliments for an outfit I was wearing today.
Have a good evening all.:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
More little pleasures before I have another - iplayer Antiques Roadtrip.
1.Frith, I also went[Bus Pass]to College for hair re-touch and ends trimmed today.
2.Arrived early and also treated self to cappucino in trainee restaurant en face...hmm, I'm blaming Frith for that Unaccustomed As I Am extra, so the Walnut Brownie's down to you, too....
3. Finished Library book during appointment - new discovery Cara Black, who makes Paris, particularly the 2ème arondissement/le Marais and its habitants - vividly present. Had time, post-hair, to rtn>Library and self-issue another.
4. Thus fired, am thinking about sorting out a Paris cheapie flit/stay - after Ally Pally Fair next month, hopefully. Have never actually spent my own wandering time there at any length. Last time though, R was alive and I found sth wonderful in Marche[mse mods-why this irritating no-go on "'e' acute"?] Rue d'Alègre. Sold later for decent sum.
5. Am about to pay for stand, expensive at my level, with fingers crossed - but I can do it from the slowly mounting NZ trip fund. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to restore this.
Ladyhawk - I note you haven't exactly 'fessed the nature of your mse Wagon tumble...asks she nosily. Vicarious share needed, please....esp. if concerning choc, shoes, bags, snuggly textiles, bling...anything unsaintly and self-indulgent really.

1. Put the new doorbell in place, now visitors don't have to skin their knuckles trying to knock on the glass to get my attention as they have for the past 6 months
2. Finished DB/DSiL's anniversary album and got that sent off
3. Vac'd through upstairs, including all the corners and edges, and dusted the walls and ceilings with the 'tickling stick'. Don't know how they get so dusty so quickly. Something to do with two mogs and a dog, perhaps
4. Cleaned the mirrored fronts of the wardrobes, I really don't know where the marks come from as there's only me who uses them
5. Joanna Lumley's Greek Odyssey to look forward to a little later
6. Spent too long browsing a site ampersand led me to. A super read.
and a 7th, part of my gratitude list for today, feeling better than I did in the past and ever grateful for the amazing help I have from the NHS will allows me to do so much more that I once could.
Sweet dreams

Chicken my garden is only approx 25 feet wide x 26 feet deep so I'm sure I don't know how I find so much to do in it. There's little space to plant 'out' anymore so I'm going up! So far I have 5 hanging baskets on the remains of the eucalyptus which has lots of lovely branches just right for decorating, and I'm thinking of the new arch which will replace the one which the winds took down a couple of weeks ago. I seem to be able to find something to do but not really organised, I just bumble along without a plan0 -
quick hello! it's early o'clock here! Mum & Aunt due in at airport soon !
Yesterday (Thursday) pleasures:
1.Good day at work, asked to work an extra hour, so that's been 3 extra this week.....every little helps! And still home in time to have a shower before kids get in from school.
2.Saw Mummy & Daddy duck & the babies walking on the grass this morning.....whilst on phone to my niece .....my own wee duckling is now 2 weeks old & doing very well!
3.DD2 & friend have had a fallout...again.....hard to keep up, however was able to offer kind, motherly advice and hugs!
4.I now have a very nice guest room......twin beds all matching .....DS has been turfed (unhappily) from his room to make way for his Granny & Great Auntie! However.....I do rather like this 'new' room! Was so warm yesterday, had been a humid 30o, and we were all hot & bothered shifting stuff around!
5.Easy tea.....I never made any much to my husband's horror when he came home from work! Had been too busy shifting furniture & issuing instructions to children. We hardly starved though!
A whole year has passed since I arrived in Australia....now smiling.....wasn't then !
Have a good evening0 -

Oh nothing like that... anyway all those things are neccessities aren't they?No... my badness is that I have been eaten out for every meal for the past 3 days. And to make it worse I normally don't spend more than £1.50 if i eat lunch at work... I spent £5 on a roast yesterday and then had pudding as well! Plus I have bean out for drinks which is always expensive. Back to being a good girl tomorrow and taking my lunch into work for a fraction of the cost.:A
Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Nosiness rewarded[it shouldn't be so] thankyou Ladyhawk - was just needing to offset my own self-indulgence today, all £3.35p worth. Besides, as you say, 'those things are neccessities aren't they?' Quite so, quite so!
I'm adding a late pleasure in anticipation, apart from feeling pleased that sparrer's pleased, and that's tomorrow's play-off Rugby, then Sunday's Big One.

Evening
Purple kitten - Keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow
Frith - Have a great time in London
Pleasures for today:
1. Speaking to the lovely people at the NSPCC, even though they are no longer doing councelling in this area the lovley lady went out of her way to contact someone who may be able to help. Then got back to me with the details and how I need to go about getting a refferal so it could mean DD will have the same counceller she had last time even though she has moved on to another organisation.
2. Friend suggested we went out for lunch so shared pork dumplings and edame beans at the lovley japanese noodle bar. The lady serving gave us extra stamps on our loyalty card as well so free wrap next time. Yummy
3. Walked home from work with DD which made a nice change
4. Having enough points to claim another for another £5 voucher
5. Finally remembered to pick OH's suit up from the dry cleaners so that is him sorted for nieces wedding next week.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Lots of lovely goodies on here today
Hugs to all x
1. Estate agent came round to give me an honest appraisal of the house with a view to putting it on the market and he was amazed at how much I've done and basically I don't have to do a thing - I was expecting some major redecoration, phew! Just got a few more bits (big bits) to sort out before I take the plunge and do the deed!
2. Chatting to a friend in the playground at pickup and she mentioned that her neighbour is going to put his/her bungalow on the market any moment now! Wouldn't that be amazing!! Hope it won't be too expensive/need too much doing to it/that I can sell my house etc etc. Please keep your fingers crossed that something fantastic happens
3. A wonderful lady on my local freecycle group has given me a laptop and wireless modem adaptor (not sure how it all works) for me to give to OH, as his laptop died months ago and he can't afford a new one. Thank you more than you know!
4. Worked from home today as I was coughing and spluttering too much this morning, and hoorah it was a nice quiet day
5. Had a great dinner and meeting tonight, such lovely people I'm getting to know
6. OH sent me a link to a song recorded at the concert we went to on Tuesday night, played it for DD and she and I bopped around the kitchen0
