Evening all, will see if I can make 5 but it's been a sleep day today

_party_ Ladyhawk Happy Birthday for tomorrow :bdaycake:

_party_ Millie belated Happy Birthday for today :bdaycake:

Millie I got my copy of the Takeaway Secret from Amazon a year ago, it's amazing, can't believe how authentic some of the recipes are :)

Kittikins how lovely when people remember your name, it makes you feel really appreciated. Thank you for the reminder :), my books are due back tomorrow but I'd planned an at home day, so have just renewed them on line

    1. Went to exercise class this morning, been invited to take part in a panel to decide on how pulmonary rehab should move forward. Really honoured :o
    2. Visited DD, just her there today, and the dogs/parrot of course, so managed a good chat without too much interruption.
    3. Managed to bubble wrap the high window at the top of my stairs with the help of a broom and my tickling stick - feather duster.
    4. Watched David Walliams swim to the end, amazing, full marks to him :T :T
    4. Won a warm shortie dressing gown on eb@y for 99p, I plan use it as a bed jacket when I'm reading in bed in the Winter so will see when it comes if it needs cutting down a little.

    Night night, sleep tight
    S x

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    hello!

I am in such a happy mood .....as I'm on my countdown to coming home ....10 days! (who am I kidding I have been counting since it was 33 weeks!) Anyway, no-one is bursting my bubble......not even a rude person today who was probably more irritated by my niceness!

1.quick chat with my niece first thing....11 days till baby is due!

    2.Happy at my work!

3.Got an excellent bargain for my only vice..........carbonated cola drinks! So got 3 packs of 18. Staggered out to the car!

4.Had a very looong bath! Read a book, had a wee snooze and then had a chat with my mum!
    Multi-tasking!

    5.School Council meeting.....most enjoyable!

    Happy birthday, Ladyhawk!

5 from me for today (Tues).

    1) Went to mum and dad's and walked the dog. Lots of chestnuts blown down but not big enough to eat.

    2) Had lunch there.

    3) Went to get smaller son some goggles as school swimming starts tomorrow. They were 70% off!

    4) Got brother the fencing staples he wanted, saving him a journey.

    5) Dash round Sainsburys without children.

    6) MrB expected 7ish. :-) Am cooking a roast chicken, lots of roast vegetables then there is courgette quiche left from yesterday. Got some pastry left from the quiche so might shove in a few mince pies.

    7) Going to have a cup of tea and play the piano while the cooking is underway, I think.

    Evening all.

Happy birthday Ladyhawk and happy birthday for yesterday Millie! smiley-greet027.gif

Caterina - have a lovely time in Italy. :)

I've been feeling a bit :( today and I'm not sure I can think of 5 pleasures, but I'll try:

    1) Sunshine for most of the day, although it's still too windy to be entirely pleasant.

    2) Seeing a cotoneaster shrub covered in so many red berries you could barely see the leaves.

    3) A work colleague assuring me that her HG tomatoes are starting to ripen now, so there's still hope for all my green ones.

    4) A nice fishy dinner, LO from an M&S meal deal that I paid for using a survey voucher. :money:

Hmm, four's not bad! ;) Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone :)

    Mine for today

    1. Walked the dog with Mum and Dad this morning, or rather the dog walked us as we just followed her round the woods
    2. Sat and ate birthdacake/drank tea with my friend at the stables
    3. Found a stray cat, currently trying to ascertain if cat is chipped and if so we can re-united him with his owner.
    4. If owner can't be found, we have a potential home for him- I would be tempted to have him, but we have free range rabbits and dappy dog is scared of cats (and rabbits for that matter)
    5. Going to make a necklace tonight for my friend's birthday at the weekend :D And a card too

Sorry you are feeling :( CCP, hope you are feeling better very soon, big hugs in the meantime xx
