Well done for the Sunwalk Ladyhawk!

So sorry for your loss Keith..lose the feeling wretched for whatever reason that is and forgive it. You will only waste your energy. I doubt your friend would wish that.

I have some for my weekend:

    1. I spent a day thinking about - well just about everything in my life yesterday and have come to some decisions - a good thing.

    2. I found this forum and have spent quite a bit of time reading mostly so far

    3. I have been on the perfume thread - but I'll wait and see if tat is a good thing! Haha!

    4. Pasta and sausage casserole for dinner soon....homemade and I can't wait!

    5. Back to forum things and this site - seems to me there's an awful lot of helpful people on here - it's lovely to see when people really need help. Very refreshing! :0)

Just wanted to welcome Keith[behind ears scratch for Trevor], commiserate with CCP[one Hellish fright and one very lucky little girl] and congratulate the sunwalkers[thankyou for sparing some sun for most of day here, ladyhawk and tealady.]

    1. About to head into tent, trial night - it's warm and snug, with indoor things added for pleasure, like DAB radio and reading light. Intend taking Thermos and chocolate, too....all of 5 metres from back door :-)
    2. Frittered rest of day in cricket listening, reading, sunning and have no guilt. That's a real change.
    3. Also poured self a glass of good red with lunch. No idea why. I never drink alone. It went down well.
    4. Idled over The Grauniad and happily.
    5. Found I could see Tour de France on putah - still don't have tv sorted out since March changeover. None of the prescribed solutions and subsequent remedy attempts/advice work.
    #########
Only 5 for this '5'...must be a first.
Find myself wondering about marmite and blimus, mineallmine, too - hope you are all coping well with Life, should you read this.
    Blessings to all.

Hi all, struggling a bit to stay OS now that I work 6 days a week, but have been getting back into the swing of things in the last week or so. I've been really grateful for all my frozen HM "ready meals" but stocks are running low now! Stilll making HM lunch most days, but do have an occasional treat from Tesco or tinned soup.

    Today I have:
    1. put on a wash using the quickwash setting, and it'll be put on the airer to dry
    2. made a big batch of bolognese sauce using reduced veg & mince, I'll magically transform some of it into Lasagne tomorrow, then freeze it all down into individual portions
    3. not strictly OS, but I've bought a usb bluetooth adapter and mini memory card so I can put all my music onto my phone to save me having to take my mp3 player on the train to work.
    4. changed the bedding
    5. cleaned the microwave and the bin
    6. will make my lunch for tomorrow later on

Keith - Sorry to hear about your friend. (to echo Ladyhawk) - a female cat called Trevor???

Sorry I haven't been posting...but I have been reading...few to catch up on

    1) Free breakfast roll on Friday - must be nearly my turn to pay :o
    2) Free fruit from work
    3) Managing to get all my work clothes washed and lined dried on Friday - got it in with moments to spare just before a heavy shower
    4) Sheets and towels washed and lined dried on Saturday
    5) Two lovely bunches of roses reduced to 25p each on Saturday
    6) £2.60 win on the Euromillions :D
    7) House all clean and tidy
    8) Clearing out my wardrobe and drawers and taking two bags to the charity bins

    11) A year since I moved 500 miles north to the wilds of Aberdeen

As there's a possibility of a move in the future I decided to have a little clear out - not much as a ruthless one was done a year ago when I moved here. I'm also planning to eat out of the freezer until a decision has been made and just stock up on fresh bits :D

Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them

    Good evening everyone ,
Need to say , well done to Ladyhawk :T:T My sister had breast cancer at age 31. Her partner at the time said a few days before her operation , that he didn't think he could live wth her/ fancy her if she had a scar on her breast! He walked out and left her the day before the operation and left her eight year old daughter on her own with their one year old daughter, without a word. .She is fine now and has a fabulous fella who adores her.

    My five for today :-

    1. Reading a book on Downshifting ,which just reinforces my current thoughts about my work/life balance.

2.More washing dried on the line- I love clean "scratchy" towels.

    3. Made a biriyani which blew OH's socks (or crocs) off as it was too spicy for his palate.

    4. A visit from my brother and sister in law :)

    5. Produce from the garden in plentiful supply.

    6. Hens dust bathing and going in to a sort of trance as they love it so much. They covered me and my book in mud too.

    Goodnight all

Keith - sorry to hear about your loss. And I have a lady cat too - called Joey!
Gratefulforhelp - well, yes, that's about right! :o
CCP - glad to hear the girl was not badly hurt and I hope you feel OK now.
Ampersand - we'll be camping at my brother's soon!

5 or so for today (Sunday).

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) "Wig hair" (worse than hat hair!) that I've been trying to deal with all day following yesterday's fancy dress party. Can't wait for a bath and a hairwash once the boys are asleep properly.

    3) Good tidy and cleaned the stairs and kitchen floor. It'll only get worse come Tuesday when the builders start but it looks OK for now.

    4) Did 2 loads of washing and dried them on the line.

    5) Nice text from Guardian man who is on holiday at the moment with his sons. :D

    6) Enjoyed watching Top Gear with sons.

Hello everyone from the depths of sleepy France :) I was very non-MS and forgot my travel adaptor so bought a new one at HUGE expense yesterday so that we can get online....I've just read everything but am tired and can't dispense replies properly, so HUGS to all etc xx

    Recent pleasures

    1. Got to the Eurotunnel 2 hours earlier than our booking and the nice lady let us on the next train so we got to France at a reasonable time :)
    2. Found a nice restaurant in Calais for dinner before going to our very budget hotel
    3. Very long drive to cottage but DD and OH were perfect companions; we sang, we chatted, we listened to stories
    4. My leg managed the drive without too much agony :):)
    5. Cottage is even nicer than expected :) Owner was lovely too
    6. Had a full night's sleep last night, first time in months, yippee :):):)
    7. DD and I "played" badminton yesterday afternoon, very funny outside in the wind!
    8. OH has found us some good places to visit
    9. Finding out that groceries in France are just as expensive as in England nowadays but enjoying being able to buy LOCAL produce without too much trouble
    10. Cooked a "roast" dinner for them yesterday, the cooker here is fabulous!
    11. Had a swim in our freezing cold pool *shudder* but it was fun, DD and I were being crocodiles :)
