    1. The NHS - I got an appointment with a lovely doctor this morning who has prescribed some superstrong painkillers, ramped up a level from what I normally take:( but :) that they're working now and so long as I don't move about too much, I'm not in pain! Yippee!!
    2. Thanks to the above, I'll be doing well (fingers crossed) on my diet, as I can't drink alcohol with these painkillers, so that's a lot of calories saved in advance for my night out tomorrow night, lol.
    3. Helped my friend by taking her son to school.
    4. Saw my physio who gave me a nice massage and tried to cheer me up about this setback, it kind of worked.....
    5. First day of dieting has gone well :)
    6. Good chat with OH and his mum when I popped over with some bits for them and a nice hug from him, I'd been feeling like we hadn't had enough :):):)
    7. OH's mum gave me and DD a cute cat feeding bowl for our future cat (hoping to become mummy/sister to a cat over the school holidays)
    8. My dad came to pick DD up and brought me more milk for the quartermaster's stores :)
    9. Apart from prescription costs, today was a NSD.......so not really a NSD but feels like it
    10. Received a super-speedy delivery from a lovely friend on MSE, OH will love the recipes:) :)

    Evening all

    1) Chatting with a boy (now married with a kid) on FB who I kissed when I was 18... we had a nice reminiscence. He was beautiful... and it is really nice we can have a civilised chat after all these years.

    2) ITS THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!

    3) I've had wine! I never drink at home so this was a nice treat

    4) Have I mentioned that its the weekend?

    5) Chatting to a friend in Canada. He is such a sweeitie pie (I still assume he is gay)

    6) Had lunch with a couple of lovely colleagues... the powers that be hav no idea that the natives are restless.

    7) No work tomorrow!!!

    Night all

Sleep well... I know I will

    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Oh sorry, Frith :p

Had a nice day. Although just realised i've got quite a lot to do before i can go to bed.

    so i'd better crack on

    1. Good run - i'm getting better but not anywhere near 13 miles yet.
    2. Nice relax in the bath afterwards
    3. Doing the shopping with DD - it's her last day of no school after work experience so nice to make the most of it, even if it's only sainsbugs.
    4. Not very MSE but went out for a meal as a family. FIrst time we've done it in months and thought we would make the most of it, in case OH's meeting is redundancy as he fears (in some ways i think redundancy might not be such a bad thing. he will get a good (very good) pay out and our lives may become simpler. We will manage, but meals out "just cos" might have to go.
    5. FInally loaded my pictures off camera onto laptop. Now i can free up space on camera to take pictures for ebay.

Off to dads for the weekend but should be able to utilise my dongle (ooh err) to catch up. Have a good one all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    2. the rain at tea time, someone doesn't want me to use that new outside tap...but it does save my (metered) water
    3. using up an end of cheese from the freezer and the crust of a hm loaf to make cheese on toast
    4. made some cushion covers for the new guest room from remnants of yellow spot, striped and plain fabrics
    5. had to laugh at a post someone sent me from facebook - go to google maps, directions from China to Taiwan, click get directions, scroll down to step 48.....:rotfl:. Silly but just appealed to my sense of humour

    sweet dreams

    Evening

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Friend at work brought a bike in for DD, which I rode home and managed not to crash. DD loved the bike
    2. Very busy day at work but felt like I got most of the things done that needed doing.
    3. Started decorating my bra for the sunwalk. When I did the moonwalk I didn't do it in a decorated bra but my brother has said he will sponser me £50 if I do it in the bra. So sewing skills which are non existent are being put to the test.
    4. Tasty curry for dinner using up various bits from the freezer. OH and DD christened it a Mongrel Curry :rotfl: but it tasted OK and everyone ate it.
    5. Postie delivered some Love2shop vouchers from a survey site. Added to the stash to cover christmas and birthdays.

Hugs to all who need them.

    Evening all.

    1. Laughing aloud with Sparrer's link. Thanks for that. :rotfl:

    2. Getting distracted by searching websites on dyeing with onion skins (am saving them at the moment), to dyeing with berries - roll on the hedgerow elderberries and blackberries - and ended up at http://historic-crafts.com/portrait-of-a-craft-historian about Ruth Goodman from the Acton Scott etc programmes. She always comes across as so experienced in historical crafts and it was nice to read that she was learning some stuff as she went along.

    3. Frozen foods are on a 3 for 2 offer at M&S so I bought some fish and two puddings - the sort we never afford nowadays so that was a little bit treatsy.

    4. Listening to DSs enjoying each other's company.

    5. On my way back home, unexpectedly being able to collect DS1 who was stuck in town with a huge sports bag and it was tipping with rain. The traffic was awful so it meant that we had lots of time to chat and I had company too. :D

    Sweet dreams

hello from sunny but cccccold Melbourne! it has been so nice to see the sun & blue sky after a week of dull, grey sky but still very chilly!

1.Went for Saturday scone with OH. Had a good natter with him. My scone was a ham & sun dried tomato one served with a very tasty tomato relish. Most yummy.
2.Went to a HUGE charity shop. This is rather overwhelming in size. I have been in once before with girls & we were just gobsmacked! It is like a supermarket complete with checkouts & trolleys & rack upon rack of every kind of clothes. All very well laid out ,colour co-ordinated, sizes etc but it is vast! However, I managed to get DD2 2 pairs of cropped jeans & 1 pair of shorts & for me 2 pairs of 3/4 length jeans, 2 pairs of trousers for work & 1 top for summer! So cheap! All have been washed.
3.DD2's friend is staying over for the first time. DD2 has stayed at hers often but because I have been working this was the first night free. Took them to the cinema & OH & I went for a wander. Went to Salvos & got 2 nice tops & 1 fruit bowl.
4.At supermarket got 2 veg packs with about 2/3 of price off. Will get a couple of pans of soup out of each. Also got a new phone top up & have lots of credit & lots of internet.....should do me for a wee while.
5.Going to phone my friend back home now! She will be up this early as she has a wee one so nice to get a chance to catch up !

    Have a good day xxx

    My five for yesterday

    1. Finished both the shampoo and conditioner and knowing that all used - I probably get about an extra 4 days use of them now than I did previously.

    2. Buying a present for driends silver wedding which was vastly reduced.

3.Finding £1.50 in car park ticket machine when I was getting my free ticket for 2 hours parking.

    4. Managed to pay cheque into the bank and post a letter and collect DS1 from station aswell as buying the present all on one trip.

    5. DS1 had done the majority of his washing while he was away.

Well A couple of years ago a got a cough and it lasted a few weeks then went, but it keeps coming back ever few weeks.
Sometimes its its really bad sometimes not it, but has affected my breathing. Have been on allsorts of medicine and chest exrayed over the last two years. But nothing.
So three weeks ago hospital sent for me to do some more tests, got a phone call on thursday afternoon there wanted to see me on friday.
I have been told its there is nothing wrong with my chest, which my doctor though. Its my lungs, I have restrictive lung disease.
I didnt know what to say so I just said thank you, he said why are you thanking me. I sais at least I know what it is so now we can fix it.
I have never heard of it before, thats when he told me my lungs are scarred, and it will never get better, only worst.
So before they start any medication, I have to have a few more tests to see how advanced it is.
So they will be done over the next eight weeks and then we go from there.
My first though was too my OH how will he cope with the news, he had a nervous breakdown last year.
He is now depressed and cant handle any stress.

I have told my sister and niece, and they said they will between come with me for my tests.
I am determined to stay positive to get though this and going to take pleasure in all things.
I know I only new here but i would love some prayers sent my way.

    1; Waking up to sunshine.

2; Listening to the birds singing in the trees.

3;Putting my favorite music on while doing the dishes and tidying the kitchen.

4;Phone call from my niece inviting my OH and myself to lunch at her house.

5;Having a cuddle of my next door neighbours two day old baby boy.

    Sending positive thoughs to everyoneDee
