Yeah it may be hard but would be worth it to get what you want and a say in your future.

I am sure all is not lost though, you should speak to NIM and let him know how much you are being left out of this.

    I agree here.

It would be a great shame if you missed out on getting your dream home because NIM didnt fully understand how you were feeling about being undermined.

He fully understands, believe me. I've made myself more than clear.

Are you still moving in with your OH Tete?

They do sound good Flower, I guess it's a bit like renting a council house, which my parents did for 30+ years before buying it. I don't see anything wrong with renting, I have my own house with a tiny mortgage but want to buy with OH. We'd find it a struggle to get a decent size in the area we want but if could rent we would.

:rotfl::rotfl: Im always on rightmove! See anything you like?

Although i dont know why i bother going on rightmove, we really want to go with one of those companies i said about and they dont advertise on rightmove. Quite alot of it is word of mouth here, so you need to know the right people :rotfl:

I'm sure it'll be better when you've had chance to talk to each other face to face tonight.

Yep, that's the plan. He's finishing his degree in December then applying to become chartered, then once he's chartered he gets a payrise and that's when we'll do it. So hopefully about Spring :D

ETA - A few Flower, a lovely little cottage which is painted blue which I've always liked and OH's old school which has been converted into houses - bit far north but they're nice!

Yep pretty much the same concept really, just owned by different people.

Im sure there must be places like that around the country, unless everyone is just odd here :rotfl:

Then why isn't he considering how you'd feel?! I agree with what Tete says though, hopefully thing will look better once you've been able to talk face to face.

Flower - With the renting thing you're on about this is what we do with our rental houses. They move in and then as far as we're concerned it's their house to do as they wish - as long as they don't wreck it!

Tete - Sounds exciting! And pretty close too :D Me and OH will only just be saving properly in Spring to move out, but I'm still on Rightmove looking! There's an area I completely love and would be my dream to move into but OH isn't too keen (close to the football stadium and dome so it gets really busy out front.) so I need to start finding another dream place.
