Arghh, I want that bar of Milka, do you think they'll send it out here? :p

Really sorry about your mum's cat Poddle, it's so sad when it happens. I have 4 cats, 2 guinea pigs and a dog at home and I miss them LOADS!! They're are two little dogs here who are crazy and yappy - they help a little but it's really not the same. I can't WAIT to take my collie out in the hills as soon as I get back! OH doesn't know it yet but she's coming to the wedding :o:rotfl: He got her for me as a surprise on Valentine's Day - she was brought in up the Home at 8 weeks and no one wanted her  I fell completely in love at absolutely the wrong time, but she has a wicked life now (currently bounding round the fields with my parents' collie :D) Can you tell I love my animals? :rotfl:

  • The Milka bar is a right faff - you have to follow the riddles to get to the blimmin form, then once you've filled it out you have to install a coupon printer so the barcode's nice and perfect for the till ... and of course I don't have admin rights on my work computer to do that! Gah!

I bet you miss your pets Bails, I miss my kitties when I'm just at work!

    SAME!!

Oh Bails, you really are a girl after my own heart! Me and OH talk about getting a dog at least once a day :D and it's a real struggle to be sensible about it and wait until we're both not working full-time and we've got some more travelling out of the way (South America please!). I feel bad enough about leaving Jasper (my cat) at home during the day, although I'm pretty sure he doesn't care!

So I've just had some frantic calls from work. Turns out NIM completely forgot to call my work and my boss is so angry. I don't have any idea what to do, this is mental.

Crikey Dinah! I can't offer any advice sorry, hope it gets sorted. It wasn't your fault though, as far as you were aware work knew about you being off sick. Can't believe NIM forgot!

Bails - I love the idea of having your dog at the wedding! I'd love that, but then I'd need to invite the rest of the dogs so they didn't feel left out. Then OHs dogs and I think 8 dogs at a wedding might be a bit too much!
  • No it wouldn't Cinny, you could invite less people to accommodate dogs! :D

Oh no Dinah! And why has it taken them this long to realise you're not there?!?

:T Brilliant idea! Or you swop a dog for a dog - no MiL,...;)

Oh no Dinah, not what you need when you already feel lousy! I wonder why NIM forgot?

Darn it, that Milka bar has driven me to toast!

    Afternoon everyone!

Sorry you're not well Dinah. Hope you feel better soon. As for your workplace - how slack are they that they haven't realised you're not there til just now! What if there was a fire in the building, would your manager have had the fire brigade looking for you when you hadn't been there all day?! Don't stress about it cos if anything it's the people you work for who are at fault for not be able to who is in the building.

Been reading about the dogs at weddings and I have to say I'd quite like the idea for my Westie, Tilly, who is delicate and knows how to behave but Wes, the Staffy is a bit of a buffoon with a low boredom threshold and the wedding breakfast would be a wedding snackette to him - make for a memorable wedding I guess :rotfl::rotfl:

Just been sorting out my annual leave at work and found out that I have 12 days that are supposed to be taken between now and the end of the year. It's not going to happen due to staffing so I've managed to take some around Christmas but have to go in on Christmas Eve, I've agreed to carry a week over for next year and I get a week of it where it'll actually be overtime - result - and a nice little start to the wedding kitty - woo hoo!!!
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

Aw no, I love my future MiL! :D

We have a right mix of dogs together though; a Yorkie, Jack Russell, Douge de Bordeaux, Chihuahua, 2 New Foundlands, Polish Lowland and a Border Terrier Cocker Spaniel mix - and all with way too much energy than should be legal! Would be an utter madhouse!

Pilchard - That's a pain about the holidays but yay for the overtime :T Will be a nice boost to your Wedding Fund like you said!
