  • Morning all, Hope you feel better soon Dinah - certainly in time for the class tomorrow!! Eek!

What a lovely proposal Pilchard, bet it caught you off guard being in the gift shop!

Feel your pain Birdie, my car wouldn't start in the wet this morning, luckily Dad's off work today so I dragged him out of bed and he doused the engine in WD40 and it started OK. I only got a new battery in december so can't really be doing with this all winter. Might have to start looking into scrappage again if Bluey's not a bit more co-operative!

Hi Starla! Love that you buy wedding magazines to cheer you up! Hehe! Will look you up on Dooyoo :)

Hope you're feeling better soon Dinah, Sounds like you need a day in bed!

Hi Starla! I've just found you on DooYoo (I think!) so I've added you to my friends list for when you start reviewing. Agree with Birdie though, seriously impressed with your wins!

Pilchard - Your OH sounds so sweet!! Super romantic proposal right there :D Good luck with planning the wedding, though I'm sure you'll keep us updated!

Sounds like you're doing well on STP Poolie! I got up to £6.50 on there last night after being given 4 stars (which I think was a system error!) Going to aim to get up to £10 tonight.

Oooh, what a lovely proposal Pilchard! I'm not jealous at all.... ;)

Isn't it just?! Congratulations again Pilchard :D

I think I'm going to go to WW tonight ahead of weigh in tomorrow!

Although I was comfort eating a bit over the weekend with my mum as one of her kitties died :( It's so sad, and really strange to be at home as it feels like something's missing.

Hope you feel better soon Dinah! Yay on the second viewing for the house - ignore those meanies on the other boards! It does amaze me that so many threads on other boards attract such nasty comments! Fair enough to provide constructive criticism or to disagree with someone's opinion, but there's a lot of judgemental people out there.

Rant over :) Everyone's lovely on DFW, hello Starla!

I love wedding stuff too Starla, I watch the wedding channel all the time haha.
  • Hello Poddle! Sorry to hear about your Mum's cat :( It's awful to lose a pet I know :(

Are you following weightwatchers then, did I miss that? How's it going? I'm just having some of yesterday's homemade veg soup for dinner, the only processed bit is the oxo cube so can't be too bad eh? I've just realised none of my friends commented on my weight loss at the weekend even though I'm a stone lighter since last time I saw them. Unless last time I saw them they kept quiet about my weight GAIN and now I'm back to normal!

Aw, thanks Tete. It is horrible when it's a pet you've grown up with and it makes you wish you weren't so attached. But it's like you (I think) said, when Cinny's cat died, it wouldn't be the same if we didn't love them so much!

I did a month's free trial at WW and have all the bumpf - I lost about 4lbs in that time, but I've been doing it half heartedly which doesn't work at all! You still feel like you're dieting but don't reap any of the rewards, so I've thrown myself back into it this week. Fingers crossed :D

Glad you had a good weekend, but sorry your friends didn't notice your VG weight loss! Maybe they were being polite? It's like when I first went to uni I had really short hair and it wasn't until about 4 years later when it had grown everyone said 'oh your hair looks lovely long as you don't look like a chubby boy'. Nice... :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your Mum's cat Poddle digitalnaruto.smilie.hug.gif I know what you mean about the house feeling like there's something missing, it's weird how much impact a little furry thing can make!

LOL Poddle! My OH was like that, when we first got together my hair was bobbed and now it's grown really long he said that he never wants me to cut it short as he hated it! Apparently I looked like Adrian from Rocky!

Sorry about your Mum's cat too Poddle, OH parent's dog is on her last legs and I'm dreading the day she 'goes on holiday', OH will be beside himself and I'll be sad too, she's such a lovely little thing.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Yayyyy Freebies of the day!!

Thanks for the races one, tempted to send it to OH but I've put him on a gambling ban for the money I lent him.. but then it is free and I know he won't gamble any of his own money. And it'll be a nice night out for him and his friend.. torn now!
