Love the look of those hangers Tete! Making me want to start sewing again now
Hope Mrs Poolie and CMD are alright! Isn't getting much better over here, depending on the weather might not be able to see OH on Christmas which is a stinkerMeant to be going to his house to drop of presents tomorrow but if it snows like it did yesterday there isn't much chance of that either! Hope everyone is nice and snug though

I was watching GMTV news this morning and I couldn't believe they featured 2" in Luton as their heavy snowfall, and they had drivers 'struggling' on completely clear roads! We have at least 6" here and they haven't cleared the roads, I'd love to see black road again rather than pale grey!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Are they actually clearing any roads? Because they havent cleared any here due to 'shortages of salt'.

They do seem pretty useless when it comes to sorting out roads when it's been snowing
I feel awful today, all coughy and a mess! Been doing some STP to take my mind off it, isn't too bad today as they have a scout room open for music from a 'secret partner' it's all classic songs so at least my ears aren't hurting.0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for your concern, your all lovely on this thread.
Myself and OH are booked on to a flight to Dublin tonight (from Brussels). Had to get my parents to pack my bags for Xmas and they are flying from the UK to Ireland tonight.
It has been very stressful and I am feeling very teary today (not sure if pregnancy hormones) but we are better off than a lot.
Hope Mrs Poolie is okay.

Fingers crossed for you CMD. I was reading on the BBC news about a lady who is stranded in brussels 34 weeks pregnant and not allowed to fly, so very glad you still can!
No gritters here either, just a snowplough on the main roads.... doesn't help the ice much!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It is just pure luck that I brought my materniety notes and it has my fir to fly letter from the doctor (that I was using to get to Dublin tonight). Other than that I would be stranded too. I really feel for that poor lady.
Eurostar have been useless as well. There is no priority list and they didn't announce until 9pm last night that there were no trains today. They are also advising pregnant women to go to Calais which is a trek and they have to make it there themselves, then they are not guaranteeing that they can get on at Calais. It is a joke, they are appauling.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
