Cripes Poolie, that's horrendous! Are they putting the prices up because they know people are desperate? At least she's not stranded at the airport.

Prices are going up due to them wanting to go tomorrow and its a supply and demand market.

After they booked I went back and it was over £2000!

Be nice to think that about BA staff Birdie, but no, last week a judge ruled its illegal for them to strike at this time as the ballot was conducted incorrectly.

Hmmm, clearly I'm too optimistic about the kindness of people! At least they were stopped! I can't believe that people are still striking in this economic climate (as much as I hate that phrase!), especially BA, aren't their staff the best paid of all of the airlines? Or something like that... I was half asleep all last week when I was watching the news and I didn't see any this weekend!

Aww CMD *big fingers crossed* for tomorrow's flight - I hope you have a nice smooth journey to Dublin and from there a stress-free Christmas!

 sorry to hear about Mrs Poolie too. Ouch that is so expensive.

It's just snowed a little bit here - I'm jealous! I would love to be out snowballing!

I got some wonderful news today - remeber the scholarship I applied for in September? I GOT IT!!!! Yay! :T:j:rotfl::beer: It's for fees and living costs, so I will be able to study full time from September 2010 (hopefully) right until the end of my phd!

    The snow here is awful!

It started snowing again at about 3 and hasnt stopped - there is loads.

OH came and picked me up from work and it took 40 minutes to get home - usually takes 5 at the most. Everyone was travelling at a snail pace, except one complete moron who smashed into the side of our car

Had another panic attack, paramedics were on the scene to check everyone over and had to give me oxygen as i just coiuldnt calm myself down. OH thinks i should go to the doctor as he thinks my friend dying has triggered these attacks.

Hope you manage to get home ok CMD, really feel for you - must be very stressful.

  • Aw Flower that's the absolute last thing you needed to happen given the circumstances of your friend's death, you should go to the doctor, don't let it get any worse.

Fantastic news Lara, well done!! When does it finish, or should I not ask?!
