  • Today only at Borders? Luckily at's at Teesside Park and the thought of battling there in the snow puts me off, can't focus on paying off my overdraft when I'm being surrounded by merciless sales!

Feeling quite festive and end of termish today, it's our work Christmas dinner today (in the canteen!) and we're doing Secret Santa so that should be fun.

Our place is like a ghost town, we had our Christmas meal and Christmas party last week and it was really Christmassy, this week there's only three of us in and we're just sat about wishing we weren't basically!

Sales are torturous! I'm trying to avoid them too, but did pop into Borders on Sunday but all the good stuff had gone and it was just a bit sad :(

If I see a S&G box it will be fate and I will have to buy it :p

Lara, that's so lovely to hear that you've had such a fab 2009! Brilliant news about the scholarship and hope 2010 is just as good :D

Flower, I really hope 2010 is much better for you too. You've had such a stressful time and going to the doc's is probably a good idea, even if it's just so you feel like you're taking a bit of control. Glad your boy is taking good care of you x

CMD, what a relief it must be to have got back to Ireland! I must admit, the thought of my mum packing my suitcase would have totally stressed me out!

Dinah, sounds like you've got some good bargains - are you all finished shopping now?

Finished Christmas shopping, not sale shoping though! Looking forward to Monsoon, Urban Outfitters, and then basically anywhere that does homewares. I'm also loving NIMs NUS discount!

Woops Lara, forgot to say congrats!! You must feel dead chuffed.

Just checked my Bingo Britain for today and I won £17.50 :j Decided to play with the £2.50 so bought some bingo tickets and played £1 on the roulette (won £4 back!) So I'm at £20 now, just seeing if I win anything from the bingo games before I withdraw.

Tete - I'm the wrong shape for long jumpers too really, only I'm too short and doughy! Love that dress too!

    Afternoon everyone,

Had another busy day today - had to chase up all the insurance stuff for the car, luckily the other driver is admitting full responsibility so it should be pretty straight forward.

OH paid for me to have my nails and hair done - some chill out time as he put it, so feeling quite relaxed and hadnt realised quite how badly my hair needed cutting!

Also bit emotional i decided to open the present off my friend - was something i didnt really want to do on Christmas day. We had all decided to limit each present to £10 each so wasnt expecting much, but its a lovely photo frame with the words 'my fave piccy' written across, and in the frame is a picture of me and her taken about 4 months ago on a night out. Its lovely and has taken pride place in my room.
Was a few tears but in a nice way.

She also bought my a box of chocolates so OH and i ate them whilst snuggled up on the sofa watching Home Alone.

Flower, that's a really lovely present from your friend; I'm so glad she got you some something so special to remember her by and not some smellies or socks! It really sounds like she was a wonderful person and a great friend!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
