  • Morning all!

Am getting excited about going on the Eurostar on Friday and then going home to Ireland for Xmas. Can't wait to catch up with everyone!

Are you and NIM going to Ireland for any part of Xmas Dinah? I haven't heard of him going home for a while.

No my mum has one and it never gets used, although they used to make great banana milkshakes in it, I'm happy enough eating solid fruit, I find half the time with a smoothie I want a spoon!

Not stressy about the debt really, just want to clear as much as possible over Christmas since its a full week off that we don't normally get, but I do of course intend to balance moneymaking with time off, because hey, it is Christmas.

Mum emailed back to say the mother daughter fitness class sounds a brill idea, so now we just need to agree on one.

Nope not going back to Ireland until after the wedding CMD. He was not at all amused we spent about £400 going over there last time, and neither his mother or best friend could be bothered to come all of about 5 miles into town to see him. And his dad is coming over to see us in the Spring, and since hes the only one who made any effort last time to make NIM feel missed/genuinely seemed to want to see him, NIM isn't bothered about going back to see anyone else.

Oh I don't blame him if people are not making the effort. That is very disappointing. I usually run around trying to see people at Xmas but this year I have decided that they can come and see me if they really want to.I will be 32/33 weeks pregnant when we are over there and want to relax.

We are lucky in that people are always coming over to the UK to visit (we have to ban them coming before the baby arrives!) & when we go home it is usually a struggle to fit everyone in but that can bring about another stress.

We're getting a house with a guest room so people are always welcome, whether they take us up on that or not is another matter!

I'm sure they will. It will be much easier once you have your own place:)

Great news that your Mum will do the dancing with you.

Gah, busy busy busy! One of my office ladies is off sick today so it's been hectic trying to do what she does on top of my work and the phone's ringing off the hook as people are getting really panicky about getting their stuff in time for Christmas! Who needs a range cooker for Christmas anyway?!

The ballet classes sound good Dinah! Any dance class would be good though!

It is trying to snow here so I'm feeling a little bit Christmassy. We've got some chocolates to divvy up into bags and decorate with ribbons and a funny tag with Santa stuck on an iceberg with his sat nav saying 'You've now reached your destination' for our drivers so we're going to ignore work this afternoon (to an extent!) and sort them out, we've got about 20 to do, I just hope we've got enough chocolate santas!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Sounds manic Birdie. I went out at lunchtime, got my little bits for pressies, I'm officially finished (once everything arrives). Just need to go to Tesco on the way home to get the bits to make a cake tonight. Oh and some of their 15p value wrapping paper (got a newly wed couple of friends of ours 6 pieces of the royal doulton as I know they don't have 'posh' china, and I can't fit it in a gift bag!)

    Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been around just finished my last nightshift of 2009! Have been reading though. Not back on nights till 7th Jan!

Anyway, not much been happening money wise apart from getting taxi expenses back from company christmas party (£15.60) and a company taking a higher direct debit than had been arranged so just waiting for the refund (£27.01).

Quidco is slow this month so february payout may be much lower - poo
Oh and it just started snowing heavily!

Hi Poolie, missed you. I'm waiting on about £200 from Quidco, will be nice when that hits.
