I am feeling ok thank you. Have been quite busy so havent really had time to sit around and think.
Have had a text off my friends brother though, he was in her room and found all the Christmas presents that she had bought before the accident. He said there is one there for me and he is going to drop it off after the weekend, im not so sure i want it to be honest.
I know you must have mixed feelings about the present but she would want you to have it. It is like your last gift from her and is probably something you will treasure forever. Don't be afraid to let all your emotions out when you feel like it. It is still very raw and you are bound to be feeling up and down about things.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oh gosh Flower, to be fair I don't think I'd want it either! Unless it was wrapped, then I would keep it to keep under the tree forever. As cheesey as it sounds, I wouldn't want to open the last present iykwim? Must have been so weird for her brother though, can't imagine how you all must be feeling atm.
CMD - I think you've done the right thing too if it helpsLike Flower said, you'll be able to re build the savings in no time.
Eee, it's snowing and it's settling!Me and my sister are meant to be going to the cinema tomorrow but if it's like this we're going to be making gingerbread men instead.

Has anyone else ordered the £13.49 smoothie maker from this weeks email btw?? I used the last of my vouchers on it and got one last night
My sister works for Boost Juice though and says she'll scribble down some base smoothies for me which saved on a recipe book.
I ordered oneMy sister has one and I thought it was really useful cuz it's quite compact. Feel free to post your sister's recipes!
Flower that must be so strange, I hope you're ok. I'm not really sure what I would do..
CMD I agree with the others that you've done the right thing. If it makes you feel better to just pay off a chunk of debt using savings then it's worth it.
I had £150 from Quidco last payment because of the O2 cashback but usually it's a couple of pounds!
I've got a bsuy few days ahead, need to make the stuff for my jars for Xmas presents - I've decided to do Baileys and white choc fudge, teeny mars bar rice krispie cakes, and biscotti. And maybe some teeny shortbread stars.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Her brother also foud gifts for all the family and a few other friends so hes planning on giving them all out. Feel awful for him really, hes taking it all really badly (understandably) and has been sleeping i her bedroom.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I cancelled my order Zig, don't think I'd use it that much! - will still post the recipes for you though
She told me I'd need like, a scoop of vanilla frozen yoghurt a couple ice cubes and a splash of fruit juice (any really, whatever goes with the smoothie you're making!) for the base, then to just fill the mug up with the fruit you're using and blitz it.
Yay for getting your Quidco money though! I'm a bit tiddled because orange have upped their contract payment to £150 and I'm only getting £50. :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks Cinny and Zig. I do feel a whole lot better about entering into maternity leave with just a loan rather than a couple of credit cards
Am loving all this talk of cooking & wrapping presents! I don't get to wrap mine til I go home to Ireland so I do miss all of that pre-Xmas. They would (and have in the past) get torn and squashed in my suitcase!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

At least you'll get to wrap them though!
I've got the work gifts from me to wrap up tonight, spent last night sorting out the ones the company are giving people. A bit annoyed (in an utterly selfish way!) because I picked those presents too and they're darn fab but people are going to think they're from my Dad & Uncle

I was umming and ahhing when it was £17 in Tesco so when I saw it for £13 I just bought it! OH and me love smoothies, especially Innocent which are ridiculously expensive so will be good to be able to make our own. But sensible decision to cancel your order if you won't use it much. Is vanilla frozen yoghurt easy to find? I swear I've never seen it!
How annoying about your Orange cashback! Better than nothing though I guess. Wrapping presents is fun for the first like 10 then it gets annoying! Especially when they're awkward shapes. But I have bought a ton of nice bows and stuff to cover the awful wrappingTotal Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

I'd be a bit annoyed too with the whole present thing, maybe you could say something like 'oh do you like it? It took me ages to find' :A
Hmm yeah, Skinny Cow are good. Do you think you could use just normal unfrozen yoghurt? Would probably work out cheaper!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
