We had about 6 inches of the stuff this morning. I refused to take the car out so Mrs Poolie had to walk to work. I walked down wiht her since it was slippy under foot also I needed to post office for some last minutes 2nd class stamps.

We needed a few bits from Tesco so took a walk up as car is not going out today and tomorrow she is getting a wash as she is a dirty madam these last few weeks.

Sister due down tomorrow - trains better run - I am not doing a mad dash to say Nottingham to meet parents half way. Sunday is the "Off to China for Christmas" dash to Heathrow. If the snow is still around it might be a bit earlier. This time it is terminal 4 which we have never been too so this is going to be interesing.

Was planning the gym but that is 5 miles away and requires the car which is not happening. Going to hide back under duvet till it melts.

    Evening everyone,

Had a really bad day today. I have suffered from panic attacks in the past, and i had another today. Was driving, it was snowing and roads were terrible and i just started thinking about my friend. Its silly really because the accident she died in had nothing to do with the weather, but another idiot driver. I just kept thinking it could be me next and before i knew it i could barely breathe and was having a full on panic attack.
OH had to come and pick me up.

Am ok now. Relaxed at home for a bit and then walked into town with OH to get a few last minute bits.

Sounds like everyone else has been having trouble with the snow aswell!

Flower, I'm sure you are still feeling pretty raw. I hope you're not feeling too upset about the panic attack, it's been such a stressful time, and especially with the news of the present your friend bought you. Are you finished work today? I hope so, and then you can take some proper time out. Thinking of you.

Can't believe you lot are all finishing today - I have still got to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (although my boss will be away Tues and Weds so there might not be very much work done!)

Oooh, Flower that sounds awful! I hope you're feeling better now; it may be best to stay out of the car this weekend (or until the snow clears!). It is very easy to be panicky and hesitant in the car when you've been shaken by something but you just have to keep your confidence up and not let it take over you because the more you worry about losing control the more likely you are to lose it IYKWIM!

I'm hoping that it doesn't snow again tonight, I need to go mad panic Christmas shopping tomorrow! OH picked up the massive Amazon parcel today which has most of his presents in (and then got home from the post office to find another 'sorry we missed you' card in the letter box! Oops!) so I can get those wrapped and put under the tree tonight. I need to get some more bits for my Mum because I realised that I've got my Dad loads more than I've got her so I need to even them up! I also need to get a couple of small bits for SIL, I'm doing her a hamper that is marked up 'Girl's Night In' on one side which is full of pampering goodies and 'Girl's Night Out' on the other which has sparkly make up and such but it is looking very bare so I need to get some more bling to pad it out! I think I'll be hitting Claire's Accessories!

I'll be working until Wednesday next week and we'll be staying really late so we can get everything cleared up for the year end! We have to come in on Bank Holiday Monday too, although I'm hoping it will be a short day.
