  • Ahh it's really cute Cinny! Seems a lot more spacious than it looks too - and very cheap!

That house is gorgeous Cinny, what a great price! We're looking at over £150K for a 2 bedroom up here, well where OH stays!

Well done on your weight loss Poddle!

Birdie - I suppose at least your job is safe, and you have a possible payrise to maybe look forward too which is better than a wage cut! There's nothing to stop your looking though if you're not 100% happy there.

Eee, Just had a cheeky look on Rightmove and found my perfect first home. It's even got a white picket fence!

    Hi all!

    So busy in work today!

Cinny - that house is so pretty with lots of potential. The houses are so cheap where you live. It's great!!!

It is a really perfect house, just a shame me and OH arent in a position to buy. Just hoping something just as lovely comes around when we're ready to move out in a couple years. Or the family living there now think 'Hey, we have a blue door - Lets stay here for a bit and put it back on the market in 2 years!' :D
  • From the links you've posted before Cinny there seem to be a lot of houses woth character in your area and they seem such good value.

I just did a quick search on places to rent and it brought up a £2,500 per month 6 bedroom mansion with a pool! Well, we could afford it on our joint wages, but wouldn't be able to heat or light it, eat or go anywhere....

But you could swim. Which is a bonus.

I guess I am pretty lucky house price wise in my area, hoping me and OH will be able to get our foot on the ladder pretty easily and happily when we're ready to buy.

Owwie! I just managed to skin the top of my little toe on the bottom of the desk in front of mine. Wearing my 4" heals puts a lot of pressure on my toe, and the only other shoes I have with me I think are wellies. I think I might be about to turn up to sewing class looking very, very odd!

    Afternoon all!

I'm busy stressing out about our holiday - no prizes for guessing who the flights are with... but at the moment, there's nothing to be done except wait patiently! And I'm not very good at that :(

Eeek! I'll keep my fingers crossed! When do you go? Are where again? There's been so many trips recently I can't keep up with where everyone's going!

Ack Birdie, it sounds like you work with some right pains in the bum! Whatever happened to gross fingernail lady?

Hehe, she's still here, and she's still got her gross nail! Luckily I'm not in an office with her anymore- one of the perks of moving into the dingy windowless dungeon I'm in now!

What a sweet house Cinny, it looks deceptively spacious, I like houses that have a tardis-like vibe to them!

I've given up on work now, sick of running myself ragged! Boss came down at 3 and went back upstairs at 4.30. I've got a massive pile of queries to sort out before next wednesday which is our financial year end and the system has to be completely clear which it is far from at the moment! What's annoying is that I'm the only one with a clue so all of the problem solving gets left to me and I don't get time to do it because I'm too busy with day-to-day rubbish! I've tried delegating but it just leaves me with more work because I have to fix all the mistakes that the other people have made! It's difficult being brilliant! ;)

Ahh that house is sweet Cinny - thats the type of thing OH and i will be looking at when we are in a position to buy.

Been rushed off our feet at work again, in fact so much so that my feet ache! Supposed to be my day off tomorrow but i have a feeling i am going to get a phonecall to go in again - not that im complaining its all extra pennies!

Not much else to report, still waiting for the payment to clear on the Natwest CC, is very annoying just want it to hurry up and go to £0!

I am another one who has been rushed off my feet, not helped by the fact that the system stopped working! only 3 more working days for me though before christmas yay!

The one bed tiddly flats we have been looking at are around 180,000 so anything less seems a bargain to me haha. We are going to start looking more seriously in Jan when OH is settled into proper work.
